Hi! My name is Pixelipy, I'm a programmer currently working on a 2D project using the godot engine. I really want to make a team to complete the game with! If you want to see the state the game is currently in, please check my twitter !

I also run a youtube devlog/tutorials channel

I can make some art as you can see, but I really do think an artist would really help in the game development.
and no, I'm not using pixel art! I'm using high res art to make the game, so call me out if you're interested in it!!
here's my discord!

Great entry! The graphics are awesome, and the music is outstading!!
I would consider adding a checkpoint system. if you get blasted by one moster in the end of the stage you have to make all the way through the stage again.
Also, some instructions on the controls may be interesting. There are no explainations about the move and the jump, I tried WASD for some time before realizing I had to use the arrow keys and the up arrow to jump.
I like how you took the time to add more and more powerups! It makes us feel like we're really progressing!
The second part of the game when we can't shoot enemies anymore is really hard! we have to wait for the immaterial stone to recharge everythime there's even a tiny bit of lava in there, so we won't die and return aaall the way back when dying. in that part, the lams are in really tiny platforms, so we have no way of jumping in safely without being immaterial. that made the game really rough, since the lams have such a huge knockback and if we get hit by them we will almost surely go into lava.
I would also consider adding variable jump height to make shooting enemies easier (on the first part of the game) and to have more control over platform jumping.
Oh, and on the first stages, you can shoot the enemies all the way to the other side of the stage. I guess making the projectiles being destroyed when hitting a wall is very important in that case.
I absolutely love the animation and the song when getting a powerup!!
I played it all the way through, and for a jam, it was an amazing entry! It was all rounded all the way, and I'm really impressed you made it in only 3 days.
Also, the particles and animations are simply amazing!!!
Nicely done!!!
I love the visuals, and the gameplay feels really good!
I would consider adding a invincibility timer after you get hit. I got absolutely destroyed by those masks that shoot more than one projectile at once and lost all my health on one go. I would also consider making some enemies only be hit by the guy on one side. Since the enemies go from one side to the other, you could be fine just by sticking to one side.
Other than that, great game and great concept overall! I absolutely love the mechanics!
This graphics and music are crazy!!
Even tho I'm honestly impressed you managed to put everything together within 3 days, I was only sure how the game related to the theme after reading the page description. It might have gone unnoticed.
Also, the game controls and explaination should go to inside the game somehow, via menu, or tutorial. If someone is to download the game from the jam page (such as I did), or get it through other means , they would be lost.
The gameplay feels amazing, the graphics are outstanding and the camera controls feel really really smooth.
Wow what a fast game!! I love it ! it has a really great potential.
I think you could use a little more feedback, such as a little baby sheep sound when a new sheep is born, a sheep counter or even a "hurt by hunger" sound when we get hungry. It would help the player to keep track of its current state.
I must admit I had a lot of runs, it was a very fun game. In the first time I played, ALL MY SHEEP got infected HAHAHAH. The second time, they got infected again and I ate them, they were delicious.
Great game! the artwork is really impressive! This mono color pallete really do make it seem like two totally different dimensions alltogether!
I would consider to make the controls a more intuitive. Such as using spacebar or even W to jump. Also, in some stages, the boxes that press the buttons would get stuck when swapping dimensions. Since we don't have a way to pull them, they get cornered into the walls, The only way to fix it is resetting the whole stage which can be a little frustrating.
at one time, I swapped dimensions and the box overlapped with the red dimension and got destroyed. That's great that you implemented that, great detail to attention, but then I realized I destroyed the box... forever. A box respawn would be great to fix all those issues without resetting the stage!!
Other than that, I had a really good time playing it!
The art and the music was really really impressive. I'm honestly impressed you managed to make all of it in a jam!! You really put a lot of work in that game!!
I did suddenly crash tho in the end. Also I'm not sure if I'm hearing it corretly, but I think the menu song overlapped with the game song. other than that, I think it may turn into a great game with some more gameplay features. I may be a bit too much story focused, with little player interaction.
Great entry!
It's such an interesting approach to the theme! I love the song too!
I think I found a bug where, if you press the menu after you started the game, you won't be able to move unless you reset the stage.
It can also be a little frustrating to have the box stuck since you don't have any way to pull them from a wall, unless you reset the stage.
Also, it's I think it needs some player feedback when doing actions such as playing a sound when the lever is pulled, or changing the sprite when the button is pressed. when we're close to a lever, it would be great to see some indication that we can do an action, such as a highlight.
I do think this concept is full of potential for a puzzle tho. With a little polishing, I'm sure you can make a great game out of it! it was really creative!!!
At first I did not know i had to hit the ice walls alternatively to stay unmelted, I only noticed after melting a few times. Also the tiles should contrast more with the background, it's a little hard to see the platforms. You calculated the jump height really well, and even though the character is slippery (of course, it's an ice cube) it's easy to control. Great Entry!
Yeah. I could not stop the boxes from glitching out in time for submission, but we will take care of that when the jam is over. Also yeah, the gane could use a checkpoint system, absolutely. It takes you to the very beggining of the stage, but it may be overwhelming for some players. Im really gkad you enjoyed it tho! Thank you for the feedback!
