an amazing entry ! really good level design and idea, very well executed with great art, it was not too long nor too short, had enough mecanics and a great learning curve, great job !

I really like the art style, it's super clean! Especially that background - lovely work.

It's surprised me that resetting/dying brought me back to the start of the chapter as opposed to the start of whichever screen I was on, but I guess the later box puzzle where you have to bring them with you would break if you reset just that screen.

Great job on this project, I really enjoyed it!

great job.

Really nice and fun game, the only 'problem' i had was the screen wrapping, it would often wrap to early (i was on an other level than my character) or it would wrap to slow ( i fell into a pit before even seeing the level)

I had much fun and would love to see more levels and chapters!

pls also rate my game

Developer

oh!!! hahaha yeah, it could use some pause between screen transitions, greatly noticed.

Thank you for your feedback!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Incredibly polished, unique aesthetics and unique concept. A great refreshing game amongst all the rest. The level design wasn't overwhelming and greatly progressive with the chapter labels and tutorial. Surprised you managed to make such a good game in the time restraints.

I love it!

Thank u so much!

Developer

Oh! Thank you!! Yeah it did take a lot of effort, so I'm really really glad you like it!

Wow, this game is AMAZING! Nice job!

Super polished and cute! Music is good, sound effects are good. Art style is so cute and amazing! Love the transitions, and the background bobbing up and down, is probably my favorite bit! Oh and I loved the parkour levels by switching the paper around, really clever!

although the game is pretty glitchy, the boxes would get stuck inside the walls, and one time, i died at level 6, and restarted at level 3.

but all in all, really fun, really polished, GREAT GAME!

Thank u will fix the bugs if we can!

Developer

RIGHT? It turned out really good!

Yeah, the boxes are really glitchy hahahaha but we'll certainly fix them when the jam is over :)

Thank yiu for your feedback!

This game was fantastic! I loved the concept of flipping between two sides of paper to solve puzzles, and the art style is excellent! Doing a paper/cardboard look is very hard to do in pure pixel art!

I only have two real problems with the game, the first being that the boxes are very glitchy and can often end up stuck in a wall or not activate buttons when they're supposed to.

The second is that resetting takes you too far back. One of the comments mentioned adding a checkpoint system, and I really agree!

Despite that, though, the game was still really fun and I had a great time!

Thank u for the feedback

Developer(+1)

Yeah.  I could not stop the boxes from glitching out in time for submission, but we will take care of that when the jam is over. Also yeah, the gane could use a checkpoint system, absolutely. It takes you to the very beggining of the stage, but it may be overwhelming for some players. Im really gkad you enjoyed it tho! Thank you for the feedback!

Really nice!

I would make rooms count as checkpoints but thats the only thing i can really say.

Good job!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah you're right. It may be a littke overwhelming for people to get back to the very beggining of the stage. I thought it would be fine since the stages are small, but the checkpoint system is absolutely the way to go. Thank you for your feedback!

Submitted

Yeah its probably not that important but would be a cool QOL feature.

Hoping to see this in the top 10 :D

Really great game guys! I unfortunately kept getting collision glitches at the end/ later in the level, so having to restart the entire thing is a bit frustrating. Nice job nonetheless!

Developer

Yeah. I figured it might happen hahaahaha. After the jam is done, i will take the time to fix the box glitchyness and also add a checkpoint system to make it more enjoyable. Thank you for your feedback!

Hmm I would say -
Nice theme implementation.
But the controls were Floaty, make them tight and snappy.
Nice art and Sounds!
Good Work!
Pls rate my game also :)

Developer

I figured I should make it floaty so the player will have the time to flip the papers midair. But yeah! Tighter controls are really important . I'll probably make some adjustments after the jam is done.

Absolutely! I will make sure to rate your game properly as soon as i can :D

I like gameplay. the idea of paper sheets that turn in two directions is great.
But controlling is little hard- the character accelerates strongly and jumps too far.
And i find some bug, or this is how it should be?)

Developer

absolutely not how it should be !! hahaha. those crates get stuck real easy. I tried to fix it but it was nearing the end of submission. That's why i put R to Reset the stage, in the case it get stuck.

Oh, I'll probably tweak it later ;D.

Thank you for your feedback !
