I did, and it took under 4 days total - kinda hard to tell exactly how much was spent coding but a pretty significant amount

Fun game! a little easy since I think the goto strategy is just walking into ghosts while shooting - because they deal half the damage the health souls give - I also found no reason to leave the 2x fire rate area and moving the mouse around. The amount of ghosts never really bothered me until later waves especially if u let them all come to u in a line. The groundwork is there tho for an interesting game provided there's encouragement to explore (for instance enemies get harder so u need to go to other rooms to get more powerups) and balancing the difficulty! Good game overall!
Would love to see this explored further! Melee fighting and units walking around you sounds like a winner game idea! I would've liked some more control on the units placement especially cause enemies can push them around, and with some healing to enable more mistakes u could create a really addictive feedback loop!
Movement's really fun! the speed and flow is great - only gripe is that the enemies don't spread apart further the larger u get so it stops being possible at one point, compounded with the fact that enemies spawn out of nowhere, I think there should either be an alert or only spawn them off screen or smthn. overall good game!
I got it downloaded on opera gx so I don't think its that...
Maybe it is your antivirus? Idk which one you have but I assume it'll tell you "blocked suspicious malware from downloading" or something like that rather then a vague message?
Can you tell me more about it? like is itch showing this message, opera, or windows? does it happen mid download or on start?
This may take away some of the tension, but maybe you could make it so you need to press the three buttons before the game continues since I always found my fingers were on the wrong keys.
Also maybe consider making the death animation shorter if possible since in the beginning when I was trying to get the hang of it I died immediately so I spent more time waiting then getting used to it.
Generally I like it!
The art is awesome! fits perfectly with the music. only annoyance is that when you only have one food item and the animals grab the sushi in the other beat it is impossible to serve them while keeping up the combo, though I might just be bad at the game (I don't play many rhythm games). overall a great game!
Cool concept! I would add a parallax background (nothing complicated, could be just a brick tileset or something) to give a sense of motion since when there's nothing around you wonder if you are moving at all. I would also add a little bump on the left side of the reverse platforms since you can't walk off the left side, but you can on the right side? aside from that I liked it!
Very fun! if you're planning on having a post-jam update then I would make some difficulty settings. you could easily do that by changing either how fast the arrow turns or by making the hexagon a pentagon (so the gap is larger) to make things easier (could name the difficulty options that way!) Overall great game!
I like it! unique concept! My only gripe is that Its very difficult to control the ship. I'd give the ship more granular control, as I feel like you can't really execute any plans since you take so long to rotate, start and stop.
Note: I'm not used to playing these types of games, so my opinion might not be valid for everyone.
My GMTK 2023 Roles Reversed game jam game!
Hello everyone! For GMTK 2023 I made a game where you play as a self-firing bullet who propels itself towards its targets: aliens! You'll have to set up your shots right to maximize your efficiency, and higher your score while stopping anyone who tries to ring the alarm!
My inspiration for having you play as a bullet was that I thought it'd be a cool take on the theme Roles Reversed! In the end I think I succeeded in making a fun little game, so If you're interested you can play here: https://pizzamuffin.itch.io/bullet-snipe I'll appreciate any feedback!
