The mechanic is engaging and the score system works pretty well. Great submission for a 72 hour game jam. Congrats!

That's awesome! We didn't know that was actually possible. Thanks for letting us know.

Very impressive, specially on the visuals. The setting reminded me of Signalis. Although it took me 3 tries to complete, I wish it would be a little longer.

I also have to mention the work behind the GDD, which defines the game in a very clear way with a great balance between text and diagrams.

Congratulations on your great work!

Thanks for trying out our game. Also for your feedback :)
As we had different decoration elements, all varying in size and color, we thought it would be more clear if only seaweeds (green color) meant being save. Not sure it ended up working as intended hehe

Very nice entry. Beautiful art and sound design. The interpretation of the theme is really clever, the game concept felt so fresh. I've also enjoyed the intro dialogue, which serves as a tutorial but also shows you the game's context.

Congratulations, you've nailed it!

Thanks for checking it out!

I've reached you out in Discord.

Thanks for giving it a try!

The interpretation of the theme goes very well with this kind of bullethell game. The gameplay itself reminded me of the combat in Undertale.

Congrats! It managed to hook me for some minutes.

30 is a pretty high score! Thanks for dedicating our game some time.

That's interesting. We thought doing that would increase the time until every transformation. And having in mind that in a jam people jump from one game to another really quick, we wanted the transformation to happen as soon as possible, so the player could experience a whole game loop in a minute or two.

Thanks for your feedback! We wanted that the player had to look around and be careful before leaving every seaweed, but maybe we have gone too far.

Interesting mix of 2 concepts. At the beginning I wasn't sure what the goal of the game was (the ball sprite isn't very clear in my opinion), but once I got it it was pretty fun!

Congrats.

Thanks! We actually had the intention to implement a dash mechanic, but in the end we didn't had enough time. We decided to focus on polishing the enemy AI and the game loop.

Thanks a lot for your kind words! Our artists worked really hard to achieve these visuals, but it totally paid off.

Thanks! That was one of our intentions hehe

Muchas gracias por el feedback y por haberle dedicado un rato a nuestro juego!

Damn it, it would have been nice to have that reference hehe. The only similar game we found was Feed & Grow: Fish.

Thanks for your kind words and for giving our game a try :D

Thanks for your feedback! We didn't know about that game breaking issue, thanks for pointing it out :)

Hi! I'm a designer (mechanics, levels, UI/UX) with prototyping skills both in Unity and UE5. You can check out some of my work in my portfolio: https://sites.google.com/view/daniel-rodriguez-diaz?usp=sharing I'd like to get into a team or create a new one. In any case, feel free to reach me out via DM 🙂

That's on us, sorry. We didn't have much time to work on optimization. We also wanted to use a "dash" mechanic, but the AI took us that much time that we couldn't either. About the title scene, you guessed right :)

Thanks a lot for your feedback, it is much appreciated!

It is true that it's a bit too challenging for newcomers. We'll try to adjust this better on the next one.

Thanks for trying out our game and for your kind words :)

We didn't think about this aspect of the camera at all, but now that you pointed out it totally makes sense. That would have improved the overall feel of the game.

Thanks for your useful feedback.

24 is a pretty good score hehe. But you're right, we had few time to test the difficulty of the whole loop of the game, and it ended up being a bit too challenging for new players.

Thanks a lot for dedicating that much time to our game and for your kind comments!

Glad you liked it! Thanks for giving our game a try :)

I used to loved auto runners, and this one made me have a good time too. The setting and background music are great, and the level selector clearly shows the progress and makes you wanna play some more. I just had some issues with objects collisioning with the camera and the absence of a controls screen.

Good job!

Nice game! Clear and simple.

I liked the cute graphics and animations. They reminded me of Terraria. The souls mechanic is clever and works really well.

On the other hand, I felt it had too much text for an action platformer. It made the start very slow.

Congratulations. Keep it up! :)

Great twist to the space invaders formula! Loved the sound and visuals specially, they were very retro.

As the spaceship fire is a bit delayed I didn't know if the key was working at first. I missed a bit of feedback there.

Congratulations. It was fun!

Using the "scale" theme with the weight limit of elevators was very clever. I've enjoyed the overall feel of the game and the increasing difficult levels.

On the other hand, I would have preferred an organic tutorial over the initial amount of text.

Congrats. Very well done!

The art is beautiful, specially Sophia and her animations. The puzzles are simple (in a good way), allowing me to move on quickly to the next. That made me feel like I was progressing.

A downside for me was the jump. It didn't worked as expected when I was close to borders. It would have been nice if you could apply the "coyote jump" technique.

Congrats for your great job!

Ahhh, good old pinball. The overall game feel of the game is great. The camera didn't convince me at first, but after some time I got use to it. The scale changes of the ball are not very noticeable.

My final score is 14480. It was fun :)

(1 edit)

The concept is very clever. It's amazing how many variants of levels you managed to create with such a simple premise.

It was a bit hard to understand at first. I also thought I could manipulate the weights on the scale fast enough to don't let red piranhas pass while I was switching numbers (due to the possibility of letting go weights from above).

Overall, great puzzle game. Well done :D

The game is quite polished, both in terms of visuals and game feel.

Although I ended up understanding the systems, I would have appreciate an in game tutorial.

Great job!

Here's our game: https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2023/rate/2399012#post-8966602. Every feedback is much appreciated.

Feel free to post yours in the comments!

Here's our team's game: https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2023/rate/2399012#post-8966602

It reminded me a lot of Celeste. The character is lovely and the levels are well designed.

A downside for me was the feel of walljump. I felt it a bit unprecise.

Overall, great game!

Nice concept! Loved how you just used 3 circles to represent each fighter and it still very clear what it's happening.

Nice short experience. I enjoyed the interaction with objects and elements in the scenario. The UI is clear and easy to use.

I just wish it wasn't so short hehe. Congratulations.
