This year we seem to have quite a few people who have joined. On average we have maybe a 25% submission rate of games compared to the number of people who join. With that in mind, if that applies to this year, we are looking at possibly around 42 games or more!

Given the possibility, we may look to extend the judging period by an additional week should we have 40+ games submitted to the jam.

Here is another link to the discord, I'll leave this one open for a week should others be interested.

Mostly as long as it complies with itch.io's policies as well as that they are "legally distinct" as erron had mentioned, there shouldn't be any issues.

I can help answer some of these questions. That said the goal of this game jam is not really a pure competition of game devs but more so a showcase of pregnancy games for the community. Yes there will be rewards for those who make exceptional games but our goal is to make it easier for people to make games as well as help inspire others to make games of their own.

1. Plugins are allowed. As Erron had mentioned previously, we will make a requirement to give credit to the plugins used for a project and that will be taken into consideration while judging. Should you wish to make your own plugins, you are welcome to do so. The idea behind plugins is that many games use them in some form or fashion and can be a core part of development. It also helps expand the base limitations of some engines as well.

2. For the possibility of a judge not being able to vote on a game, we are taking that into consideration. Likely the other judges will go over the game and possibly look at averaging in results. Our hope however is that this doesn't happen.

3. Yes, we have discussed the topic mentioned here and we will be sure to make sure all games are judged fairly and impartially.

4. I'll be honest with this question and simply say that there will be no compensation should issues arise. With that said, it is a risk you take when joining this jam. We will try however to do the best we can and come up with solutions should something we don't expect happen. You or others are welcome to contact us regarding any possible issues that happen during the jam but once the judging period is over, the results are final.

I don't see any issues with coming up with plans. As long as actual creation of the game in a development program isn't happening.

The filter is intended however I have been hearing from multiple people about it causing issues for them. In a future build I plan to release a version with and without the filter.

The book provides clues, that said if you can't figure it out the secret is to go north, east, west, and then south.

The first two parts of the mine are simply wandering your way to the end where there is a light source. The third part is a bit trickery where you are stuck in a paranormal loop. After attempting in any direction for the first time, a book should appear on the table.

If you read the book, it will give you hints as to which directions you should go in the maze. Also you should hear a small rumbling noise if you went the correct direction. If you go in the correct direction four times, you should be out of the maze.

Ok, as for more information on development...

We plan to have 4 acts total, each act featuring different parts of the town.

I plan to resume dev after the seeds of destiny: elven kingdom update release which should be about mid January. The scope of dark matter isn't that large so I should hopefully be able to wrap it up in a month or two.

Thanks!
The vending machines were one of the last things added so that doesn't surprise me. As for the game over, I tried my best but that will likely be a more complex issue to fix.

There was a lot of iteration on the belly mechanics, one of the original ideas was to have a separate inflation for cola and slime bloating. The slime would be a more permanent inflation with a slower process but it was scrapped. Likely a remnant of old text box from that which I forgot to remove.

Life has been busy for me, especially now that I have kids of my own. That said I'm fairly active on discord if you want to see how things are going with my projects.

Seeds wise, I'm hoping for a new build release in mid January.

Do you start at the bus stop?
The very first build I uploaded was bugged to have the player start near the mine but that should be fixed.

It doesn't go anywhere, a small bug I forgot to fix. It eventually leads to a future dungeon in a later build someday.

Originally was going to be used to unlock a gate in the mine but do to time, I scrapped it.

Did that happen at a certain point in the game?

I made a mistake with the start location when fixing a bug prior to release. Should be corrected now.

Most of my focus has been on my seeds game. Once that is done I will likely look to update my other projects

That would be acceptable, as long as it's playable on a windows platform.

If you have questions regarding the game jam and what is or isn't allowed, feel free to ask here and I will try to get back to you as soon as I can.

After reaching the last level, you can continue to upgrade her. Every 100+ Hit points results in a larger sprite. That said I currently only have two larger sprites past the level 5 nursery.

It's on the weight gaming website

Game build was updated to fix a few critical bugs, download is now available.

Wanted to mention that this game is a winner in the preggo game jam. Let me know the best way to get into contact with you so I can go over details regarding winning the competition.

Winners of the game jam!
1st: Breeders from Sector 9!!
2nd: Trial by Fairy
3rd: Aboard the Cosmic Cradle

Hey everyone, all the scores are in and I'm working on compiling things together. I'll likely reduce the judging period to the end of the day or next. That said I wanted to give a bit of feedback on how the process works.

We judged all the games on a scale of 1- 10 with 10 being the highest for each category (Pregnancy content, Story, Gameplay). This means each game has a maximum of 30 points per judge and with 5 judges in total, a maximum of 150 points.

Please note that while the maximum possible score is 30, a large majority of games had average between 10-20 points in their respective categories so don't expect to see large numbers. When it comes to judging feedback, I will be posting the overall score your game received out of 150 points. Some of the other judges will provide written feedback as well. Should you have questions or want more details about your score, feel free to contact me.

Again thank you submitting your projects, this is the first game jam I've ran so it's been a bit of a learning curve but it's been fun to see all the different projects some out!

You may want to check your game release permissions, I think at the moment only the game judges can access the game but not the public.

Neat game and I like the story concept. I could see some potential of adding in some puzzles on top of the ghost catching in game. As for advice, I'd recommend more sound effects such as maybe a belly expansion sound for when you grow, maybe some grunts when you get hit by a ghost. Overall though looks like a good concept for a game.

It's a fun short game, I enjoyed it. Came across a strange bug right before the liquid fill scene where if you click to fast when the doctor is giving instructions, she starts talking super fast and repeats. Luckily it corrected itself after a few seconds. If there was a recommendation, for the end scene you should add in something to let the player know how close they were to getting the most possible babies or if they achieved that.

Just applied another hotfix to the public build, you will have to redownload the game for the fixes and transfer your save files over. I'm hoping to have another major game build out that is focused on completing the side quest content in about a month.

Hey everyone, I just applied a bug fix to the missing image as well as the school house bug. Currently working to fix more and should have another build ready by this weekend. Sorry about this issues.

This is a demo, seeds will still continue to get updates as usual.

I do have a discord server but as a heads up, you must be 18+ to join in. https://discord.gg/2FbKxpmT

I do have a patreon as well although currently the funds will be used towards seeds of destiny art. Once seeds is done I plan to look back into this game as well as fertile farm. Also with PRPG, I'm open to community artist donations should they wish to add their art to the game.

There will not be a mac version unfortunately. The main dungeon plugin for this game has an incompatibility with mac devices.

Seeds work is still ongoing. Turned into a much larger game than anticipated. I've been working on this small project on and off and wanted something to post for Mayternity this year.

I'm currently working on some fixes to many of the bugs mentioned as well a few small updates to questlines and such.
I'm mostly active on my discord so if you have find bugs you can post them there. As for helping fix the game, I've learned that once too many people dip there hands into the game to help out and send me copies of their fixes, I have trouble since one patch undoes another that someone fixed. Decided going forward to just apply the fixes myself for simplicity sake. That said though I do appreciate the offer and I do encourage anyone to try their hands with rpg maker. I'm always willing to help give advice on how to do things with rpg maker.

I would possibly be interested in some art help. I don't often check my itch.io site since I primarily focus on discord and patreon so I apologize for not getting back to you right away. If you had a discord or twitter account, feel free to message me and we could possibly go over some details on things you could make.
Also thanks for playing the game and willing to help out!

Hey everyone, sorry its been a bit. Things have been incredibly busy for me. I uploaded a new build as of 8/15/2021 to fix some of the bugs. There are still some bugs in the build but some of the major ones such as the birth bug should be fixed.

It's probably unlikely I'll make much changes to skin color, I already have a lot of changing edits between belly sizes.
