I think it would be fair to disallow "hapax" due to obscurity, but it does seem to be a valid word in English: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hapax
So good! Very polished, great art style, fantastic sound, and a good challenge. I would just say that if you're going to use the red accent as an indicator of something important, it was a little bit annoying that there were some red objects/highlights that were just part of the background. Made me feel like I was missing some information. Also, what did the rectangle button on the radio do? Couldn't figure that out. Regardless, extremely well done!
I think there's a lot of potential here, it's just a very complex game, it needs some sort of introduction or tutorial level, or even multiple levels, haha. The art is great, and the concept is neat. I'm not 100% sure how it relates to the Cold War, except maybe something to do with space, but still cool overall. The music was also well made, but did get repetitive pretty quickly.
Also, I did have some issues with my antivirus detecting it as malware, but it ran fine after I handled that.
Really well done! I'd say the main thing I would have liked would be some visual indication of the enemies taking damage, even just a health bar. Nice little challenge, took me a few tries to beat the boss! I also found the little easter egg room completely on accident haha. Also, I enjoyed bouncing grenades back at the enemies!
Super cool proof-of-concept! Easy to understand, I got the hang of it real quick. One way you could solve the issue of what happens when the pause occurs while you're in the air is to add aerial moves that are only available in that situation. As someone who plays a lot of Smash Bros, one potential issue I could foresee would be that you would need a very large library of possible moves, or else the game would become easy to predict, and two skilled players would just be able to play perfectly, resulting in either a draw, or one player winning as a result of the turn order. Maybe moves could sometimes be cancelable, to add variety and reduce predictability.
