Hey everyone! I'm excited to announce a major update coming to Phantom's Estate! This update will include a huge multiplayer overhaul and officially bring the game to v1.0.0 Early Access. Even more exciting, Phantom's Estate will soon be available on Steam!

Before the release, I'll be working on polishing up the store page and aiming to launch the game during a big Steam event to maximize visibility. Since this is my first time uploading a game to Steam, I wanted to ask for any tips or advice from those who have experience with the process. If you have any suggestions on how to make the launch go smoothly or any insights on boosting visibility, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks for the support!

Hey that's great of you to do! I've recently uploaded my game on here and I'm trying to build a small community for players an game devs.

We need your help to make Phantom's Estate even more chilling and unforgettable. Your feedback is the key to unlocking the game's true potential, shaping the terror and thrills lurking within every corner. Whether it's what made your heart race or where you'd want more mystery, we want to know it all. Step into the shadows and share your insights—your voice could change the very essence of this haunted experience.

Any feedback or advise or even something you would like to see in the game, please contact me and let me know!

Phantom's Estate has also just updated to 0.4:

🔑 Keys & Locked Doors: When entering a location, some doors may now be locked, requiring a key to open. Keys will spawn within the map when needed, adding a new layer of strategy and tension as you explore.

👻 Random Horror Events: There’s now a chance to experience flashbacks when entering certain rooms, revealing eerie moments from past events. Witnessing these flashbacks will decrease your sanity, making you more vulnerable to ghost hunts, so watch your step!

🚪 Stair Improvements: We've made further tweaks to the stairs on the Modern and Wooden Barn maps to ensure smoother movement when walking up them.

In this update some doors in the map might be locked when you appear, You will need to explore the map to find the key to open the door

Hey everyone!

We’re excited to bring you Update 0.4, also known as the Door Lock Update. Here's what you can expect in this latest release:

Sanity System: Your mind is now your greatest weakness. As your sanity drops, ghosts become more erratic, aggressive, and harder to track. Depending on the ghost, they may hunt you down more frequently, leaving behind little to no evidence the lower your sanity gets. You’ll have to be smart and careful—managing your sanity will be crucial to your survival!

But be warned: there's no way to recover your sanity yet—this will come in a future update. Until then, brace yourself for an intense and unpredictable experience where the unseen forces grow stronger as your mind slips away!

You can now also Interact with the monitor in your tent to view how much sanity you have left!

Prepare for the unknown. The ghosts have evolved... and they’re watching.

That’s all for this update! Be sure to join our Discord to stay up to date with future updates and share your feedback.

Hey Snow!

I understand if this won't apply to you and if it doesn't let me know and I'll delete the message but here a horror survival game called "Phantom's Estate". Sadly,  it's not playable in the web and does require to be downloaded.

It's just updated to v0.3 - "The Sanity Shift." This new update adds a Sanity System that affects how the ghosts behave. The lower your sanity, the more aggressive they get, and the less evidence they leave behind.

If you love horror games then you should know the popular game "Phasmophobia". It's similar to that but made by 1 Indie dev trying to build a small community for future game released etc. Give it a try, and I’d love to hear your thoughts if you play!

That does make sense, the game isn't tracking anything to do with any player, it just keeps a score of how many time you correctly find the ghost.

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well! I wanted to reach out to the community to gather your perspectives on an idea I’ve been considering to promote my game.

In my latest update, I introduced a global leaderboard showcasing the top five players who have the most games played. To encourage more participation, I’m thinking about hosting a giveaway for a £10-£20 gift card for the player who ranks first on the leaderboard after a certain amount of time.

Do you think this initiative could benefit the game in terms of encouraging regular play and keeping players engaged with future updates? Or do you feel it might only boost popularity temporarily during the giveaway, with interest fading once it’s over?

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks!

Thank you. Goodluck with your bundle!

Thank you, means alot!

Hey! I released my Horror game "Phantom's Estate" and I am just trying to get feedback on it now.

Step into the chilling unknown, armed with paranormal equipment as you investigate haunted locations, unravel eerie mysteries, and face terrifying spirits—can you uncover the truth before the ghost claims you?

I understand that it's a huge worry to just randomly download games where you don't actually know what they have put inside of it but at the same time I feel like paying $100 to upload it to steam would be useless especially if I don't have a small community to share it to in the first place. Yeah I might get a couple people play it on steam but then it'll just be another game added to the steam list which no one plays due to not being known. Unless if I'm completely wrong and people actually search for new releases but never In my time on steam have I searched for a new game to come out (unless if its by a popular name such as Sons of the forest or cities skylines 2 etc)

Thank you, someone mentioned it to me before as it was just a purple back ground with loads of text so they said to Improve that so I spent some time making images and improving how it all looked

That does make alot of sense and It's a really big shame because I didn't start making a devlog whilst I was making the game, I have only just started putting the logs out to talk about the newest features and updates that I've brought to the game. Thanks for the feedback and I'll explore more into joining game jams!

Hey everyone!

I have made a few games before but for my first game release I have uploaded here on Itch.io and I have advertised after advertised to try and get my name / game out there for people to play, It's free to play as all I'm looking for is reviews and video content of people playing the game. Anyway after everything I've done people have downloaded the game but not a single review has been left.  I even tried to make a community in discord where I can post updates and promote others uploads etc and still no one joined.

The main question I'm asking is when uploading a game should I make a build for Windows, Linux and mac or are the majority of playing using say Windows, and do you have any tips on what a single developer can do to get their name and game out to the public without having a community?

This post won't only help me but it may also help other developers who are struggling too!

Hey! would you be Interested in trying out my game? Sadly it has no reviews but I am hoping that some get left soon especially videos as I can see people's reaction when playing my game. I've attached the trailer and photos below

It is similar to the horror game "Phasmophobia" but in my own unique way.

It's completely free as all I'm looking for back is some feedback and to build my own little community :)
