Submitted quite early because we have had to leave for a few other commitments on the second day.

It's not very complete, very obviously still a dev prototype... but we've uploaded it anyway. Learned our lesson about generally managing scope. Can't wait to see everyone else's submissions!

thanks for coming back to review the game! It was a really fun concept to work with and a very well done game jam. See you again next year!

Thanks! We got really excited about the idea of your ship getting uncontrollably larger through upgrades and trying to deal with that being one of the main challenges.

Very impressive score! People are far outdoing what I expected, might need to see if I can't do better, myself.

Thank you very much for the kind review :)

Wow, that's a very impressive score!!  I myself struggle to get much higher than around ~2500. Fair if you think it got a bit boring towards the end, new enemy types stop spawning after a while.

There is definitely saving in the online version - as long as you use the same computer and browser, your unlocks and high scores should save.

Fun, tidy game.  Love the gameplay idea, trying to work out adjacency bonuses and get the best score possible.
It's a shame you didn't have time to include a description for the bonuses in-game, but overall a really fun game.

Fun game and you did really well with a unique theme choice. I wish it got a bit more challenging, varied and faster as you progressed. Love the art for all the different items.

Hi, I've just uploaded a fixed version. There's a few balance changes in it too and better GUI for keyboard users so to protect the Game Jam Integrity of this entry the original version is still available.

Thanks for your reply! Really disappointed that you can't upgrade the character with the keyboard as some of the late game would be nearly impossible without some levelling.

Lesson learned. Next time we need to test keyboard controls more extensively, if we include gamepad. I'll see if I can't fix the menu after work.

That's frustrating! We mainly tested with gamepad and completely overlooked removing a few basic keyboard dev commands from like the first few hours.

Thanks for pointing it out, I have now fixed this glaring issue.
