Nice building game! I like how every building has is unique logic and you have to design the town little by little. The art, animation and music is very relaxing and enjoyable. This game needs the rules inside of him,but i am sure you will get it done ;)

Developer

Thank you! It took some time, but I finally came around to improve the game. Among others the rules are now in the game itself! If you want you can check it out here: https://twinfox.itch.io/hexagon-hamlet

The description is THE KEY to enjoying this game. I haven't managed to unlock the church, mansion, or market yet,  but will keep trying.   The game is quite addictive actually.

Developer

Did you actually manage to get to the church in this version? Because honestly I didn't. If you want to check out an improved version of this game, you can check it out here: https://twinfox.itch.io/hexagon-hamlet

I really like this one! Took a while (and reading the description) to understand what to do, but once I did it got really interesting. I think my highest is 3499 so far. I'm gonna try and get to the mansions!

Developer

I'm glad to hear that. Did you actually manage to get to the mansions? If you want to check out a more balanced and polished version, you can check it out here: https://twinfox.itch.io/hexagon-hamlet

I don't think so, but I really enjoyed playing so I'll definitely check out the new version!

Fun, tidy game.  Love the gameplay idea, trying to work out adjacency bonuses and get the best score possible.
It's a shame you didn't have time to include a description for the bonuses in-game, but overall a really fun game.

Developer

Thank you for the nice feedback! It took me a while, but I finally came around to implement a ton of improvements for the game. Among others I added in-game explanations of buildings and previews for bonuses and such. You can check it out here: https://twinfox.itch.io/hexagon-hamlet

Holy smokes the artwork in this game is incredible! It's so clean and beautiful, I'm really impressed! I love how smooth it looks with the lil animations too.

This was fun! The art was really nice. I liked working out where to place the buildings, they all made logical sense. Very good work!

Amazing art! I'm really impressed that you made this in this jams timeframe! This is one of the best game in this jam!

Developer(+1)

Thanks you very much! This really means a lot to me! It was really stressful to complete the game in just 50h. Zooming almost broke our neck and still doesn't work a 100% correctly, but I think it was worth it so you can take a better look at the artwork!

The art is amazing and I could definitely see this going someplace! I was a bit confused on how to win or improve the amount of gold I was getting though.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We too like the game a lot. You're not alone, most people I showed the game to were confused. Unfortuantley the scope of the project didn't leave any room for tutorials or explanations. The game's description contains a quick rundown of the buildings though. Maybe that helps. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

No worries! Reading the description definitely helped me out!

very nice like these style games my self never made one yet though.

Developer(+1)

Glad you like it! I tried a few times to make 4X or hex-based tactics games, but I never actually finished any. But now I could finally put that knowledge to good use! If you have any questions or need directions on where to start, don't be afraid to ask!

You did all of this during a weekend? Wow! I really like these kind of games and you did a really good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words! It was really stressful until the very end, but we made it. I'm glad you like it!

This might be my fave jam game yet! Way to go!

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Great start, I could see this being build up to be a rather fun building strategy game

Developer

Thank you! I'm toying with the idea to develop it further

You really should.  I see a lot of potential in the concept

Developer

I know it's been a while, but I finally came around the polish the game more. I'd be really happy to hear what you think about it: https://twinfox.itch.io/hexagon-hamlet
