Thank you for playing the game! Yeah, in hindsight I definitely wish I put some text explaining the controls and mechanics in the first round.

I had a similar problem, I forgot to include a file in my submission that the game needed to run. It ran on my computer because I already had that file so I didn't notice until someone else downloaded it after the deadline. Pretty unfortunate but at least we both know now.

Really cool game! Kind of reminded me a little bit of FTL even though the gameplay is completely different. I liked the idea of flipping the cards to do different things.

Hey! I think I saw you post this early on in the discord asking what the idea could be made into. Glad you found a theme!

Thank you for playing! Yeah that text can be bigger, I should probably add a background behind the number too for contrast.

Thank you! You're right about the text, will fix that when I keep working on this

Thank you! I want to add more crew cards and try balancing everything out, I just couldn't in time for the deadline unfortunately. Definitely want to keep working on this though!

Really cool idea! Liked the idea of a Balatro-like kinda mult system but with the formula for work, lots of cool ideas are possible.

To be able to play this game, you will also need to download this file: https://ryguydsi.itch.io/pirates-deck-datawin .

I forgot to include it with my original submission, the file worked on my PC and I didn't notice until a friend downloaded it on another computer. I am really sorry for this mistake.

Unfortunately I found a bug in the last few minutes of the jam that I was unable to fix in time. The player's crew cards that die (after their health reaches 0 and they "dust" away) are supposed to be removed from the deck, however they are not and can be played in other rounds.
