I actually love this, super fun game with a very cute vibe. a thought could be to make the first level not effect lives, so you don't have to manually reset if you die.
I am actually working on that right now! well kind of. I tried to keep this project well organized, but by the end its filesystems were a bit jumbled to say the least. So I'm currently working on another game with very similar features, and a better organization system!
yeah, the crafting tree and the boss were cut because of time. the energy balls that the pillars shoot were originally going to be a boss attack, but they got repurposed at the last second. thanks for playing the game!
glad you liked the game! and yeah, the bridges hitbox is wacky. fun fact, its actually a cylinder turned on its side and scaled weird, so it extends far below and around the bridge lol
yes the audio is a big void, would recommend putting some good music on if you play it for any amount of time. as for the bow, I didn't really want to make the game super difficult as it is already takes a good second to reach the boss room. since I don't have a good checkpoint system, I was hoping people would have a better chance of getting that far before quitting.
Tutorial is clear and precise, goal of the game is clear. Graphics and audio are incredible. Overall a very fun game! (Note: I did find a minor bug, where if you click on display settings you can no longer access audio settings, but its not a big deal in light of the game)
the little dude is adorable, but the gameplay feels like something between break bricks and literal hell. I will continue playing until I have completed it. excellent work, your well on your way to becoming the next Hidetaka Miyazaki
Just so everyone is aware, html does not like changing mouse visibility on a whim. So pausing and opening inventory is quite finicky in the web player. It does work but it may take a few try's every now and then.
never mind I figured it out, and I made it to the second level. Possibly make it restart to the level your on when you failed so you don't lose all progress if you make a mistake? good game though, very clean.
good game man, the graphic style is great. There are a couple of physics bugs you might want to look at (I unfortunately got softlocked by the ground halfway through), but I must say Its a fun game overall. keep up the good work man!
A fun time! reminds me of playing joust or old mario for some reason. It is a little difficult and could use a health bar, but overall well executed for the time you had. Good job man!
