This is one of only a small handful of Unity games where I get strange audio crackling issues unless I change the audio device I'm using. In case it might help, I notice it could be because there's some edge cases for audio on Unity versions 2022.3.x. Earlier versions (like 2022.3.9) may even go so far as to affect Desktop builds, where later versions (like 2022.3.44) might only affect the Web version. I am curious which Unity version you used.
There's a really specific thing it might do, even when it doesn't crackle, where the audio replays the last 2 seconds of audio over and over again when no longer focused on the game. I'm curious of the cause, but the only thing I can think of is I might avoid these specifc Unity versions since I saw some people were more likely to complainabout arbitrary audio issues even I didn't get on a game made in the 2022.3.x Unity version.
As for the gameplay itself I really enjoyed the build and storm phases and you did a really nice job on this!

I loved this game! The artstyle is very cute, both 3D and 2D! Nice game <3
very neat game, loved that you can click on structures to produce stuff faster. also had the problem with the storm music playing through the entire playthrough, but that was the only major issue i found. very addicting gameloop. nice job!
This game looks very polished for a jam, I loved it. Once I understood the resources system it was kinda addictive. And that was a cool way to interact with the storm. One thing is that after the first storm, the storm music keeps playong even in the calm moments, which in fact had an impact and made the experience a little less enjoyable, as the sound doesn't fit. Also, I think maybe getting bricks is a little bit too slow. But I don't know, that has to do with the balance of everythign. Still a very good entry! And loved the graphics.
Yeah, sorry about that. We didn't get to finish tuning the music before the end of the jam. That happens after the first set, though. After that, it should all be good. According to my idea, based on the "calm before the storm" theme for the jam, the music should get more relaxed and chill after the storm until it totally fades away, and then it starts suddenly when the storm hits.
Thanks for the feedback!
A nice little relaxing build game, your game looks really good, and the storm mechanic is so polishes and snappy it was a ton of fun just pushing the storms around. I initially got confused about the building so built 10 lumber mills thinking they just passively made lumber, but that may have just been me misreading the tutorial ;)
Well done making everything from scratch! Its a bit slow but I managed to finish the tower, well done on your submission :)
Great game, had fun with it. Thank you for including the FPS limiter in the options, the game ran much smoother capped on my browser, which made it much more fun to play. And all assets from scratch? Great work on this one folks!
Wow all the assets are amazing! Gameplay was pretty fun, although maybe a bit slow in the beginning.
Did you do anything special to have the textures keep their quality when you exported? For some reason mine got super downscaled when I exported.
super fun entry! i was a little confused initally, but i enjoyed the gameplay a ton :) great stuff!! i was quite honestly hooked!
Very well executed idea, I didn't think I'd play for long but it got me going until I built the tower completely. You really nailed all the criteria. My only feedback would be to fasten the pace a bit as it did feel pretty slow, and to polish the storms somehow as they were more of an annoyance than anything.
it looks good but i really don't enjoy this type of game so you can't take my opinion seriously... anyways it is way better than mine...GOODLUCK
enjoyed this!! felt like the overall gameplay was very satisfying (except for getting pwned by those storms xd) - maybe could've been made the person counter a little faster cos was struggling for a while with nothing to do. had fun though, thanks for creating this!!
Some feedback:
- Animated title screen is well done.
- While hovering on the hammer to build icon, the buildings panel keeps jittering. So much that I'm unable to click on the building icons. It takes about 5-7 clicks to get a building.
- Visuals and effects are great overall!
- Lightning animation is harsh on the eyes.
- The change of music during storms is well done.
- Given the visuals, I expected an RTS, but this was more of a clicker kind of game.
- For the buildings with an option, clicking the option should also speed up production. It's a pain to select the option and then click on the building to speed up.
- Also it would be helpful to be able to queue up production in buildings with options (and commit resources while queueing). That way the player doesn't have to constantly keep clicking to select the next option to build.
- The storms kept destroying the buildings and was a pain to build again. Took a while of trial and error before figuring out how to keep them away.
- Managed to build the temple, which felt good!
Good work overall!
The lightning effect is way too intense. The graphics and music were quite good although tornados did occasionally fall through ground. My only major complaint is the need to constantly click buildings for resources. That can easily be broken with an auto clicker.
Loved the graphics, music, and cozy feeling (before the tornadoes). Perfect implementation of the theme as well!
