How does your game fit the theme?
You see whats behind a door before it gets made, you decore it and can even open it to see what would be "your life" (in a no serious way). I would love to see the doors you make!
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code and did all the art from scratch (flowers by Simpy). The audio is from internet and modified to fit my game. (The 4 last images are not mine)

Really charming game, it was quite satisfying to make the door and a really creative take on the theme. I was already sold but then noticed you could actually open the door and it responds to your decoration, honestly blew my mind. Amazing work!
Fun little game. Cute. Simple. Charming.
The music was just right too.
D
geat game relly enjoy it
Amazing game, This is such a unique idea that I havn't seen yet in the jam. The little "Episodes" Where really fun and somewhat satisfying to do, and the decorating was also really fun. I really enjoyed it!
Great game, Keep it up♥
I like the play on words with the theme. It would be nice if it was clearer where the cursor is pointing.
Thanks for the feedback! Maybe i should have make a cursor-like axe hmmm
Very relaxing game, the music really added to the comfy atmosphere. By the end, I realized it never really mattered what was behind the door. Sometimes, it's all about the journey. This door taught me that.
Great work!
You actually redid the door your way :O im glad you liked it, thanks for playing and sharing your door ♥
I'm shaking hands, colleague. In our game, apparently the player got lost behind the door he built in this one.
I relaxed while I was playing your game, maybe I should go work with a tree in real life.
Without a blue void space tho hahaha.
Im glad you relaxed playing it, thanks for playing :3
A very satisfying game. Good work!
Thanks and thanks for playing ^^
This game really gives me some childhood vibes! I love a simple and fun game concept like this so much! I made the door looks fabulous and it makes me happy :)
Did you take a picture of the door? i really would like to see owo
Awwh sadly no, but I do remember adding lots of colorful flowers, butterflies, bows, and the picture of the red panda in the middle ^^; I think it turned out very cute!
It does sound very cute :O
Love the mechanics of you cutting and hammering the door together. the controls are very simple and self-explanatory as well. While the theme may seem like a bit of an afterthought, it was fun seeing where it would take you after placing certain items.
In reality opening the door was the afterthought. I wanted to make what’s behind the door as what’s behind A door, like “what’s the life of a door” or “how it’s made” episode kind of thing, maybe that didn’t go throught properly^^’ thanks for the comment <3
Super cute! As someone who has always loved dress-up type games, a door dress-up was new but very enjoyable :D
Really really good!
Thanks!! i would have loved to see the door you made, since you are a fan of dress-up >.<
I tried to include it in my original comment but obviously it didn't attach properly XD
Really pretty uwu
thank you for this wholesome little game to brighten my day!
I’m glad to hear ♥
Fun little game to break from the scary themes of many other games (including my own lol). I loved the concept of building a door. Found myself speedrunning it in the end. Great job!
Very nice and chill game! :D I agree with spicyfrog - a feature to delete placed decorations would be very useful. Apart from that everything is good. I also liked how satisfying the door making process is!
Thanks, yeah i really wanted to put that the deleting thing in T^T
Definitely fits the theme. Weirdly relaxing and kind of cool to see where the door takes you.
This game is great - simple and yet fut at the same time. Theme definitely 10/10 :D Thank you for such a good game!
Heeey thanks for playing and im glad you liked it!! :3 I see you are a Linux user, the game works well for you?
Since its web build, it worked just fine!
That's probably one of the most cosy games of that jam. I just want to play this during some winter night while drinking some hot cocoa right next to a lit fireplace.
The idea behind this game is awesome ^^. The introduction where you craft your door is a really nice touch!
I'm usually not a huge fan of "decoration/dress-up games" because they usually lack a purpose, a "end goal" other that "make pretty things". So the concept of seeing where you land based on the decoration really got me ^^! I spent a little bit of time testing the different possibilities (place one item, open the door, repeat =p), and it was really fun, you perfectly respect the theme ^^!
A couple of nitpicks however: I would love to be able to remove elements (and edit those who are in place), but I can understand why it's a bit too much to ask for a 7 days jam ^^').
Finally, I stopped messing up with the door opening and I did this door, playing with overlapping items ^^:
And you know what? Even if I said that the reason you got me was the "behind the door" thing, I don't know what is behind this one. I placed the last item, felt happy about it, took a screenshot and closed the game, without thinking a single second about opening it. I guess I was wrong, and the fun was in decorating the door after all =).
Thanks for playing and the feedback!!! I thought about the deleting items thing and for exemple fliping the items, but when that came to my mind it was too late (and i was too tired too>.<)
Thats a really beautiful door btw, good use of the overlaping!:O The main point is decorating the door, opening it is just a little plus, im glad i could make you feel happy about decorating it, withouth thinking whats in it :3

This was a really cute, pleasant game! For learning pixel art during the time to make this, I'd say it came out looking really good, the music was really nice (a huge thank you for having volume sliders), and yeah, made me smile ^.^
