I'd like to sincerely apologize... It seems like the comment I made about your game had a really negative impact on you, and that makes me really sad. This jam's about having fun. I think it's awesome that people take time and effort to create their own games, no matter who they are. When I wrote my comment about your game, my goal was to make you happy to see that others are trying out your game. There's no doubt that I messed up... Whenever something comes out of my mouth, I always end up hurting people in some way, and I feel really bad for it. I hope that you will be able to focus on the positive things, despite my mistake, because I'm genuinely thankful that I got to play your game and I hope you make more in the future.

Theme Implementation: 4/5. We are indeed "breaking" """time""", the literal way. It's not what you'd think of when you think of "breaking time", so it's impressive, I think. The game is themed around the creepy time creatures trying to get you.
Special Object: 3/5. It's a bit unclear why the microphone is a gun or why it's able to defeat the time creatures, but, there's definitely a microphone and it definitely has a special role.
Fun Factor: 4/5. Exploring the levels is what I found the most fun. Surviving a fight against a bunch of time creatures can also be a fun challenge. I wish I could jump!! Oh, and right clicking to speedun the level is fun too
Gameplay: 3/5. It's okay. There isn't much more to do other than exploring and shooting down time creatures. It's nice that there's five levels.
Audio: 4/5. There's actually a lot of audio in this! I think it works well.
Visuals: 3/5. Clearly the visuals are not the best, but I think it's part of the charm! The cutscenes that play at the start are nice.
I'll remember this game for the funny theme of shooting clocks with a microphone gun. Congratulations, nice game!
WOW! I love this game!
Theme Implementation: 5/5. Bruh, you literally break time. Most other games in this jam want you to break time (the concept), but you went ahead and did something different. Not only that, but the idea of literally smashing an alarm clock is really funny too. I think this really fits the theme in an interesting way.
Special Object: 3/5. That microphone cursor is awesome! Is it true that you can sing in a real microphone to move? This game does make the microphone feel like a somewhat special object.
Fun Factor: 4/5. Clicking to the rhythm to move feels really good. Most of the levels are fairly easy, and then the last two or three levels are a bit annoying, but still had lots of fun.
Gameplay: 4/5. I would have given three stars because the gameplay is "okay", but then I was amazed at just how many levels you were able to make.
Audio: 5/5. I don't think it gets better than this... I don't need to explain why this is amazing. I love the song, I love the rhythm, I love the sound that plays at increasing higher pitch when you hit the clock, and there's even a funny song that plays at the end when the game's over. It's perfect.
Visuals: 5/5. I love the little details, like the animations, the trailing music notes when you move, and the shadows. Everything fits together. I love the pixel art in the menu with the dithering. Again, it doesn't get much better than this!
This is awesome! Congratulations!!
Theme Implementation: 3/5. I do see a time mechanic, and it does feel "broken" I guess? But the idea doesn't stand out to me (admittedly, I used a similar idea for my game). I'll be very impressed if I find a game on this jam that implements this theme in an interesting way :)
Special Object: 2/5. I see a microphone on the main menu... That's about it. I won't give one star, because from what I understand, the game is kind of themed around it (I haven't watched jojo sorry!)
Fun Factor: 2/5. It gets old very quickly... There is a little bit of fun in trying to get as far as possible, but the player is not rewarded well enough for making progress, I think
Gameplay: 2/5. Not much gameplay. The turtle and the human give score, the weapons damage you, and the clock speeds you up. That is all.
Audio: 1/5. No audio (?)
Visuals: 2/5. The pixel art is not that bad, but overall the game feels low quality.
I'll remember this game for the funny jojo reference. Congratulations for the game!!
Theme Implementation: 4/5. I'm impressed! After playing for a while, the clock starts going really fast, and it definitely feels like that clock is very broken. It's an interesting idea.
Special Object: 1/5. I do see the microphone in the bottom right corner... but why a microphone? Is the microphone connected to the clock? It doesn't make much sense ._.
Fun Factor: 3/5. The gameplay is very short and simple, so there isn't much replayability. It's fun trying to land on the mark when the clock goes really fast, but otherwise, not much to say!
Gameplay: 2/5. It's very short and very simple. In fact, it's too simple. It's just a basic timing game. The gameplay does exist though, so I won't give one star.
Audio: 3/5. It exists, and it does the job!
Visuals: 3/5. It exists, and it does the job. I do like the hand-drawn style.
By the way, the best thing about this game is the presentation given in the page description. It really sets the mood. That's what I'll remember this game for. Congratulations for the game!!
EDIT: this comment is way more negative than it should have been... I won't delete it, but, please don't see this comment as some kind of insult :(
EDIT2: actually, yes, I'll delete the negative parts. Let's focus on the positive stuff!
I had fun exploring the level, and trying to find all of the notes. One of them is especially not obvious to find, which is a good thing I think :)
The props look great, and I really like the presentation.
Congratulations!
Theme Implementation: 2/5. I do see a time-related mechanic, but I have a hard time seeing the "broken" part of it... This is my first review for this jam, so I'll be looking forward to finding games that find a good way to implement "broken time".
Special Object: 1/5. I don't see a microphone... Okay, I do see two black pixels when pressing J or K, but you couldn't tell it's a microphone. I don't understand, why does the player use a microphone to speed up time? It feels like it's just there because you had to put a microphone in your game. I wish there was an explanation for the microphone's presence!
Fun Factor: 3/5. It's okay. The most fun part is when you jump really high, that feels good :D Also, thank goodness we don't respawn too far away, because some jumps are super annoying!!
Gameplay: 3/5. There is some variety of content. Some of it feels superficial, like oh no, this platform's going way too fast, guess I'll have to slow down time... For the most part, it's obvious what to do, which can be both a good thing and a bad thing.
Audio: 4/5. It's good! I wish the music slowed down or sped up when holding J or K, but maybe it would sound weird?
Visuals: 4/5. Definitely good. The tileset looks nice. The slowdown/speedup visual effect looks nice too.
I'll mostly remember this game for the fun high jumps section at the end and for the nice pixel art + visual effects. Congratulations!!
I've been playing this for the past three hours. I won. I did it. I have a lot of thoughts I want to share:
- I wish I could search by scent
- I wish the "unknown" flowers didn't appear in search results, it gives me info that I'm not supposed to have
- At some point I turned on assist mode because the whole taking care of plants thing got boring. I imagine an update where you could sell your flowers and then get automatization upgrades using the money :)
Only at the very end did I learn by accident that breeding two flowers together multiple times can give different results. With that knowledge, I would probably beat the game in way less time haha.
This game reminds me of Infinite Craft. I think there's also a similar plant mutating minigame in Cookie Clicker. The idea isn't brand new, but, I find it very interesting.
The visuals are amazing, the audio is good. The gameplay itself quickly gets old, what's fun is looking for the special flowers.
I love this game. Congratulations
It happened the moment a new wave started. I think it said something like "Next wave in -1". When it happened, I was busy watering the flowers. The game completely froze, and the audio kept playing, including the watering can sfx. I had placed warriors on every single possible tile, and I had all 8 pot slots growing the most profitable plant.
This game stands out to me. Somehow you've managed to make the player play three different games at the same time: a tower defense game, a simulation game about growing plants, and an economy game. I like that a lot, it's a very original game I think. You grow not just plants, but also your economy and your defensive power. There is an impressive amount of gameplay for this little development time, I'm really impressed. I fully enjoyed the game until the end when it crashed. The visuals are pretty good too. Congratulations!
It's unfortunate that the game is not finished, because this kind of game can be very fun! I wonder what all these unused buttons might have done. Good use of the theme: the way I see it, it's less about growing plants and more about growing your economy and your defensive power. Nice game, wish there was more!
WOW! I love this game! It has a very unique take on the theme of "grow", and the flower is the objective instead of being something that you have to grow. The game is fun, even though it's too easy. I wish there was some kind of hard mode, maybe a hard mode where you play with a smaller hand size? I even enjoyed watching the tutorial video. It's a super interesting game concept, congratulations!
*breaks leg* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Just like in the game that I worked on, there are items that you use to grow bigger or smaller. In this game, it's especially immersive, as you become the same size as the insects, if not smaller. I liked the part where he breaks his legs and yells from touching an insect we go inside a small hole to teleport to a different area. Also, what an ending. Congratulations, this is a fun experience!
