Hi AntDesign!

Played your game for a bit, here are some thoughts: First of all, I really loved the character design his running animation is really nice! Maybe add a turning animation when moving to each side instead of gliding? Those pointy blades are great, do you consider to add some more traps and obstacles? some missing tiles for example? and maybe power ups? Regarding to your question, I prefer web build for those kind of games, but since it is unity Windows build should be pretty easy to achieve so why not. Also did you consider mobile build? Anyway I had a lot of fun playing your game, thanks for sharing!

Hope this review was helpful:)

Hi MantaoGames!

Loved the gif! I really enjoyed the overall design:) I think those line animations is a nice touch (I presume it appears once in a while in the game). Regarding the blades clouds, maybe you should make them a bit smaller? or add more space more from one to another :) The tv sprite is awesome!!! great job, thanks for sharing!

Hope this review was helpful:)

We are super happy to update on version 0.4.2!!!

As we mentioned before, the main feature we have added in this version is the web build:) We have always considered plasma as a casual game, so we are happy to comply with our reviewers suggestions for making Plasma a web game.

You can still download it if you prefer, but now you can simply go to https://shifful.itch.io/plasma and play it directly:)

We hope this feature will make Plasma even more enjoyable to more gamers as it is for us.

Additionally version 0.4.2 includes an updated tutorial flow. The tutorial flow was optimized based on your suggestions to a much more concise fun version. Here is a short sample:

We really hope you'll enjoy our game :) As always feedback is most welcome!

Hi BannanaBoy!

Played your game for a bit:) Here is my review:

For start, I think something is wrong with the resolution in the start menu the two buttons are giant and the text is hard to read. Regarding the movement, when changing sides the cat moves a little in the new direction which can be frustrating when standing on a ledge for example. The cat sprite and animations are really nice, waiting for more details in the background as well:)

Thanks for sharing!! Hoping this review was helpful:)

We really hope you'll enjoy our game :) As always feedback is most welcome!!!

Those are awesome ideas!!! Agree about the challenge in making it obvious what is current operation, but we'll figure it out :)

 Super thanks Appa's papas :)

How about Plasma? an intergalactic fast paced casual puzzle game:)

Hi  White Box Gaming

The menu looks great, my suggestion is to move it next to the actual item - some kind of context menu. so the user won't need to click on item and than move to a different location to click on an action button. Adding some icons near each option could be a great addition.

Regarding the highlighting, I prefer the dark one, but consider adding more contrast, making the default state lighter for example.

Hi White Box Gaming!

Thanks for the updated images. It seems to me that the small lock option is much better - I love your potion design and the large lock simply hides the entire sprite. So the smaller locks are much better :) Other than that your inventory looks pretty cool, if there is some kind of inventory space management involved consider adding some kind of empty slots placeholders as it is common practice in most of RPG games. Anyway great concepts, thanks for sharing!

Hope this review was helpful:)

Hi Daniel!

Thank you so much for this feedback!!!!

  • Regarding the tutorial. It is our bad, at first we required the player a combination of 3 numbers, but in this version we removed this requirement so every combination works. We will launch a new version today with adapted tutorial :)
  • Regarding the combos (those "Good" and "Nice") indicators, those are actually the levels of the combo. For 3 correct combination in a specific amount of time you receive a "Nice" combo, if there are 3 more before a timer running out you reach "Good" combo and so forth. any suggestion how to make this feature more obvious to the player?
  • Regarding the time, it is really hard for us to adjust it to a good level, so thanks for this suggestion, we will change it accordingly :)
  • Visuals - Totally agree we will add some more "sparkles" :)
  • Currently the game is endless, we are thinking about adding some more mechanics, for example multiplication or other arithmetic operations levels. What do you think?

Really appreciate spending your time playing and writing this review. Thank YOU!

From one number based game lover to another we are super glad you enjoyed our game:)

Hi Noel!

Thank you so much for this feedback!!!

As for the tutorials, your feedback strengthens our concern, we started working on making it shorter and less cumbersome. Hopefully it will be better soon:)

As for the other platforms, thanks for letting us know, we have developed this game with mobile and touch input in our mind and adjusted it to pc as a POC.  As you suggested, now we think it will work great also with a web version as a lightweight game to play in your spare time with no need to download executables.

Really appreciate spending your time playing and writing this review. Thank YOU!

Hi White Box Gaming!

Apparently, your images links are broken :(

Fix them and ping us for feedback :)

Hi everyone,

We've opened Plasma for FREE for everyone few days ago: https://shifful.itch.io/plasma

We will appreciate your feedback about these topics:

  • Did you had any issues understanding the core mechanics of the game? What do you think about the tutorial?
  • Did you find the game too easy or too difficult?
  • What do you think about the game visually?
  • Do you think we should consider different platform for this game? Web or mobile for example?
  • Any other topic you would like to tell us:)

Thanks for your time,

Shifful Studio

Hi Noel,

To answer your question, as far as I can tell the style animations played pretty well. Maybe you should alternating between several style animations for each style - so the speed style animations for example will include short quick attacks.

Hi Noel!

Played your game for a while:) First, let me say that I really enjoyed the graphic design, great job on those sprites! Now to answer your inquiries:

The game has really nice gameplay, loved the combat system - took me some retries to get used to it, but after that it was really fun. I didn't really get the people in white robes, why they are trying to push me away - it was quite annoying. The actual guards were great. Consider to improve some of the shots mechanism of the sniper dude - I tried to hide behind an object or behind another guard and the shot went right through - also when I get closer to the sniper and he ran away his sprite stuck for the movement (not a major issue, but something to fix later on).

Regarding the attacks, the 'q' super attack was pretty great, consider to lower the power bar a bit more after each attack as it becomes full too quickly. Also I'm not sure about this but maybe pressing q should actually initiate the attack and not just activate it?

As for the styles, I actually didn't get what is different between them (while starting the games try to move from one style to another and press the attack button - and it was always the same combinations, maybe something went wrong?) Anyway I had a lot of fun playing your game, thanks for sharing!

Hope this review was helpful:)

Hi Danielle, I actually think the backgrounds are great, but for me the characters should stand out more in front of the faded backgrounds, so you might want to consider making them less faded. Hoping this makes more sense:)

Glad you enjoyed the review:)

Hi Danielle,

Played your game for a while now:) Few aspects you might want to consider: Regarding the design, the faded background might be great sometimes - really loved the piano scene for example, but I think that with people you should consider a different method to make them more concise and relatable. Regarding the actual text, you might want to separate the longer paragraphs to several windows, those are harder to follow. Also maybe allow some keyboard interaction? for example press enter to continue to the next paragraph? Anyway I had a lot of fun playing your game, thanks for sharing!

Hope this review was helpful:)

Two weeks from our alpha release and based on our reviewers comments we have decided to make our Plasma FREE for all. You can now download the latest version 0.3.1 and play as long as you want here:  https://shifful.itch.io/plasma :)

The main upgrade from the demo version is that the in game shop is now available, and you can purchase power ups and some customization options using galactic coins received playing the game.

There is also a premium version, it contains several cosmetics purchasable upgrades for Til the space ship such as the Pirate Cannon or the Viking Helmet. If you like PLASMA and want to help us grow, the premium version is for you :)

Alongside this change we have adapted our roadmap based on your suggestions:

  • PLASMA web version is coming next week
  • Better quicker tutorial in the following month
  • PLASMA Android mobile version is expected in two months

Hi Terravale,

For music and sounds I suggest: https://freepd.com/ & https://freesfx.co uk both are amazing websites that contains large amount of totally free sounds and music resources.

As for the game mechanics, It was quite straight forward, both the actual buttons configuration and the mechanics such as filling the water bucket or plowing the ground. The nice instructions button at the top left really helps :)

Hi Terravale!

Played your game for a while :)  Really nice game for this early stage! Some aspects to consider moving forward: Try to add some more animations and sound, I think it would add much more depth to your game:) Regarding the walking, something is a bit weird there, maybe you should forward to the way your character is facing? Additionally when you plow the lot, maybe add some kind of a loading bar? so the player would be able to know when to expect it to be ready. Anyway I had a lot of fun playing your game, thanks for sharing!

Hope this review was helpful:)

Hi ManataoGames!

I tried to play your game:)

I think I'm stuck in loading screen or I just cant figure out how to pass the first level:

If it is the loading screen, any idea why it does not complete (running with chrome on windows)? maybe add a downloadable version?

If its the first screen do tell how can I continue, as I couldnt reach the top right platform using the default jump, or maybe I'm just really bad in this game :)

Tell us whenever the issues fixed, and we will be happy to review the actual game:)

Hi WayfarerGames!

Played with your game for a while:) First of all it is a great concept, really fun to play - here is my answers to your questions:

  • performance and any bugs/issues you have:
    • I didn't encounter any performance issues, played on 60fps though
    • Some other issues I encountered:
      • I tried to click on the end game menu with my mouse and the game stopped responding - had to forcefully shut down the game and start again
      • Some of the shots hurt you and some do not, Is there any differentiation?
  • what you think of the overall concept - is it something you'd buy, with a few more songs and mod support? I'm aiming for roughly 6-7 songs for the initial release, 2-3 minutes each.
    • Nice concept, which is getting a lot of attention in the last few years, especially with bitsaber for VR consoles. As far as I understand there are a lot of music savvy fans out there who really enjoyed this kind of games. You should consider adding some better known songs in the base game or in additional packs.
  • what you think of the visual style - does it catch your attention?
    • Nice style! I think the game should use a wider screen if played on a pc.
  • I would love to know some of your gaming habits - e.g. how many hours you play a week, what genres you usually play, that sort of thing.
    • I play about 2 hours a day:) mostly PC fps and rts :)
  • did the scoring system make you try again to get onto the leaderboard?
    • I actually didn't know about the leaderboard - maybe you should display your position on the game over screen?
  • how was the difficulty curve?
    • I would start a little bit slower. As there is al lot that going on on the screen, maybe you should ease the player in.

Anyway I had a lot of fun playing your game, thanks for sharing!

Hope this review was helpful:)

Hi Michael!

So regarding the standing ragdoll, I'm not that familiar with this ragdoll systems so I can't help there sorry :/

Regarding the bomb detonation, as you described it sounds perfect - second click  should detonate the bomb :)

Tell us when the next features are implemented so we can test again :)

Thanks,

Tom

Hi LordShadow!

Played your game for a while, here is my short review:) This game is indeed really fun asteroid game! Try to add some time for the text titles before they disappear and change their color to something with more contrast on the dark background. As the previous reviewer mentioned you are stuck after the confetti  but pressing space worked as expected - maybe add some notification to let the player know about the space key. Also my suggestion is to add move the player automatically to the next level instead of restarting in the main menu. As next feature, maybe enable the first level, and allow the user to unlock more levels by completing previous levels successfully. Anyway I had a lot of fun playing your game, thanks for sharing!

Hi Powered By Decaf!

Loved your weapons!!! do notice that the weapons in the downloaded file has some kind of white outline. In any case, your designs are great! I would suggest adding some more advanced weapons like guns or cannons, or if you wish to continue with the medieval theme - maybe add some bows and crossbows.

Hope this review was helpful:)

WDYT???

Hi Amir! Played your awesome game for a short while :)

Some suggestions:

In the tutorial, try to give some more time to adjust after each sign. There is a lot of data to process, (which is great as I could really see your investment in this game) but it takes time to process it, so maybe add some more room to test the features. Better yet, try to merge the tutorial as part of the story. If you can do that, the player won't notice he is inside a long tutorial but progressing in the story and even being awarded with new features as the story continues.

Other than that, you should maybe add some more background music, it felt kind of too repetitive.

In any case, your game is amazing, I really loved the features like the parkur movement and the wizard spell casting orb.

Hope this review was helpful:)

Awesome! I'll try it and add my review later on.

Hi DonPuno! Fun simulator :)

Here are my answers to your inquiries:

  • Is there a feature you'd like to be implemented:
    • Add button to detonate the bomb at a specific time
    • Add indication to what is currently selected - bomb, ball or ragdoll
  • Do you think these kind of simulators need music?
    • Yes I think they should have music. Especially I missed an explosion sound when the bomb detonates
  • Do you like the current features?
    • Yes, The Let it rain Ragdolls is awesome! the ball is somewhat unneeded I think.  The bomb is great and the bomb force adjustment is very nice addition

Hope this review was helpful:)

PLASMA

Hi John! played your game for some time :) Here is my short review, tried to be aligned with your request of features that need to be improved:

First of all, I think you should consider to improving your sprites. Mainly the monsters - try to add more details to the face. Also maybe add some idle animation? for example the monsters mouth open and closes, or the spaceship engines buzzing.

Regarding the backgrounds transition, maybe make those more slick - instead of the flickering maybe make the movement more continuous - as in the opening screen.

Another minor issue is that the monster can be created on the player, which cause the spaceship to crash automatically :)

Anyway nice game, really loved the music!

Hope this review was helpful :)
