yeah agree with all the comments, thinking I’ll incorporate these changes into a post jam release! Thanks for playing and feeding back

I wasn’t expecting positive comments about that end screen, it was a last minute job :D

defo too easy and more monsters, items and levels needed!

needs a few UI tweaks such as undo, restart etc…

Great you enjoyed the experience!

Thanks for comments!

Defo a bit short and could have gotten much more interesting and devious with more time on it.

Echo the comment to have a restart button, I held back originally as I thought people needed to see the hero win scenario

:)

(1 edit)

I like a reversal idea, normally makes the game a bit different.

Agree it’s a bit easy and moving monsters / items around should be added.

good that you enjoyed playing my game though, nice to hear!

Thanks for taking the time to play and also the positive comments.

Lots of requests for an undo button , something I’ll add to the list.

Thanks for the kind words.

Good point about moving the monsters after they’ve been placed, something for the post jam version.

More items, monsters and levels is defo needed to make it more complete.

I did consider inventories and multiple heroes too but I really like the lockpick idea, that’s a good one!

thanks! Appreciate the comment

Thanks. Needs more variation to make it less predictable for sure, ran out of time in the jam. Maybe afterwards, maybe…

Thanks for the feedback. I did think about undo but then no one would ever see the hero death, which I thought was fun. A few people have said the same though!

Thanks! Needed more items to add complexity but ran outta time sadly

Thank you for the comments.

Agree it is too easy, I wanted to introduce more varied and complicated puzzles (which would require new objects/tools too), but I ran out of time.

Not played Paranoia TTRPG, will check it out!

:D - An epic end game screen right there!

Thanks for playing it, it is a bit short but as a solo dev I ran out of time to add levels. It needs some additional items implementing too to make it a bit more complex and testing. I plan to add a few more items and levels post jam before moving onto something else.

Thank you!

Thanks :)

Thanks for the feedback 😂 I’ve fixed a bunch of bugs and made it more playable now, I’ve also as you said increased the rate of fire so it’s more like a machine gun, much more satisfying. I ran outta time so submitted an extremely unpolished game. Next time it’ll be gameplay first and graphics second. I’ve also reduced the sound volume a lot, and I will add some audio settings too Post jam

Thanks Gifthammer, I really wanted some feedback even though I know the game isn't very good yet. The sharks need sorting out, might make them navmeshagents so they don't collide with each other and also change the way they attack, maybe they could attack then circle back around for another run, something like that. The range is infinite on the sharks, they just come at you endlessly then respawn :D Might change that too though, make it a bit more smart.

Appreciate the feedback, I did submit knowing it doesn't play well if at all, but I wanted some general feedback about it either way. Thinking I'll smooth the gameplay a bit and the audio too over the next few weeks so it's more playable.

Appreciate the kind words! I had fun messing around with level layouts and playing with how the fireboxes could be used differently for different challenges. I probably need to revisit the boxes though from a performance perspective as they do seem to create lag for some players, probably because each one is constantly checking for other burning boxes that are touching.

Thank you! Shame you couldn’t finish it, maybe there’s some kind of performance bug going on.

I’ve heard it’s difficult a fair few times now, when I was making it because I knew everything worked and had so much practice I found it easier than someone playing it for the first time. Lesson learned, my next game will have an easier difficulty arc!

Thanks! Not sure why it gets laggy after death, I’d probably rewrite the firebox code if I were to revisit. I didn’t mean to make it so hard, I didn’t realise when working in my silo that it was so tricky

Thank you! :)

Thanks! Appreciate the feedback, playthrough and for taking the time to make a video about it :D

Added extra controls for arrows and controllers, let me know how it goes! :)

Thanks for the feedback, will add arrow buttons and joystick controls today!

haha, after making it I thought about the fact I sort my recycling out nearly every day, and how it isn’t particularly fun. However in VR with robot arms and gamified it’s defo more fun :-) I toyed with losing points if you put the rubbish in the wrong bin to stop anarchists like yourself, I’ll revisit!

Thanks for playing! I like that you had a strategy different to my own and that the game was able to be played in a different style. I think I might work on the physics interactions some more to allow even more play styles once the jam is over.

I didn’t test on that device but it’s good to hear it worked well for you!

I agree, could definitely add some more interaction to it, allowing more complex play styles!

Thank you for the kind words, I’ve loved having a short deadline and just getting it done, even if it’s very rough and unpolished!

I’ll have to play it! Yours definitely looks more polished and professional 😂
