pros: the little kasa-obake(?) enemy... i love them. i want to hug them. i want to protect them. i want to adopt them. i am this thing's parent now and no man or god can stop me. if i have to hurt this little guy in the game I Will Cry and that is a Threat and a Promise.
cons: there doesn't seem to be a win condition? you just kinda jump around and vibe? the platforms are also a little hard to distinguish from the background.
bugs: if you keep walking to the right you fall off the map.
pros: the vibes.... *chefs kiss* immaculate. beautiful. my skin is cleared and my crops are watered. i love the design of the health bar, and the nods to norse mythology in the enemies (i think i can see a jötun, fenrir, and odin's ravens?)
cons: the design of the player character and the enemies looks inconsistent, and the crows and wolf/fenrir have no indication that they're about to attack.
bugs: if the player hold down space and runs into the frost giants, they won't attack, and the player can just keep rushing them until they die.
pros: i really like the concept! i could see this working well as an idle clicker game with a bit of polish.
cons: the sprites are very simple, which can be a little confusing. i also don't understand what the 'play' room on the left is for?
bugs: after buying the first powerup, the minecart is duplicated
pros: the art style looks really good, and i love the warm colour palette and designs of the characters and planes (disclaimer: i know nothing about planes. they could be completely inaccurate for all i know but they sure do look cool!)
cons: the final boss fight is a little annoying, mainly because of how long it takes to recharge your shot. the enemy is also hard to aim at because of how small it is.
bugs: i didn't find any! good job :)
pros: i really love the cut-out art style and top-down shooter style! it really stands out and looks super unique!
cons: the mouse-and-arrow-keys movement is a little hard to use, and the aiming leaves something to be desired. it's also a little hard to tell which of the doors are locked and which can be opened. the bullet graphic also doesn't really match the rest of the game's style.
bugs: the player can shoot through locked doors and some walls
pros: i really love the concept and execution of this game! the art style is really cute, and i like how the warm palette used for the past differs from the cool palette used for the present. i could definitely see this being expanded into a full game with lots of levels, but as it is it's a fun, albeit short, little game. super cool!
cons: the controls feel a little awkward, at least for me. i'm right-handed, so it feels... off? to shift my position to use my left hand to press the arrow keys and my right hand to use the mouse. the instruction text is also a little hard to read, but that's easily fixed by putting the text in a box.
bugs: when switching between time periods, the player can get stuck in objects. this is easily fixed my switching back, but it's still a noticeable bug.
