Legit, what is your deal though? I didn't come at you with any kind of malice nor did I say anything bad to you. Nothing I said suggested you were an idiot, in fact I was giving suggestions to what the issues you presented could be. All you've done was show that you are just an angry person who wants a deprecated and free version of a game to receive attention from the devs, who have already said this version will not be getting any more attention. I've directed you to info I hoped would be helpful, offered you some advice on the issues, and you told me to basically kill myself and that I'm somehow justifying slamming your post and treating you like a clueless idiot when I've done no such thing. The only person trying to justify anything is you suggesting there's justification to your poor attitude and attempts to demand the issues in the free version of the game to be fixed like the paid version is, and of course the unnecessarily hostile behavior you had towards me. What could you possibly think you are justifying here besides that?

I'm another user, not staff, and you were the one coming in here making demands and then lashing out when you were pointed at relevant info. I was being genuine in trying to help but you are far too aggressive. Glad to know you won't be part of a community I enjoy.

I noticed 1.2.2 was released recently, any info on the changelog?

Looking at the update history, I dont think this version of Forager receives updates anymore. Considering the Itch.io version was last updated in 2019 and the current steam version was updated 27th of Janurary of 2024. So, bugs that were fixed are likely to still exist in the Itch.io version. It's recommended to purchase the game on Steam for the latest updates and patches.

Did you not read the itch.io page for this game? They have stated clearly that this version on itch.io is going to stay the 2017 version and is not going to change or be updated. They have moved to Steam and are keeping this version for both posterity and as a free demo of sorts:

"Welcome to the Autonauts Prototype! We haven't updated it since the end of 2017 and have no plans to do anything else with it, but here it remains for posterity (or a crude introduction to what the game's about).

If you're interested in more, click the image below to be taken to the full release on Steam!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Please don't post about the Steam version here, not when there's such a lovely space to do that in the Autonauts Steam Community. This itch.io space is dedicated to the prototype only. Cheers!"

Not sure what issues you have, some of that sounds a bit too extreme to say it's 100% Steam or Teams if you're having to reinstall your os that many times. Either you're setting or doing something wrong that they don't like, you got some driver issues, or you got some hardware issues. But, with that many installs, it's less likely the latter two. Either way, good luck, hope you find a way to figure out what the issues are and fix them.

So, this version of the game is no longer supported, it's an alpha version of the game. The current versions of the game are on Steam which is found here

So, I know there's atmospheric horror, but does this game have anything that can be viewed as jump scares?

The joke runs along the same vein of gaming on a mac, yes you can do it but the mac was always meant for productive purposes, not really designed for gaming. Same style of joke is here, people are trying to game on a Chromebook which will have issues outside of the browser verison.

If it works perfectly then use it, all I'm saying is it's a bad argument to make. Of course you wouldn't buy a new pc just for one game, my point was there would be more obvious reasons to get a pc that collectively would make it worth the upgrade. A Chromebook is very limited when it comes to usability outside of a browser, because it was made for use as a laptop browser and not a full-fledged computer. So, it stands to reason the biggest reason to upgrade is to have a system that's not limited, hence my point in my last reply.

Yeah, the joke from what I've seen is people finding it funny people are trying to play it on a chromebook.

Just buy more money :D

jk, I feel you man, hope you can get that sorted.

Right, like there's no other reason to get a computer, no need to upgrade and have expanded options to do many different things. Surely you can come up with a better argument than that because you started strong but ended on a piss poor excuse of an argument by making an illogical point.

The meme is to make fun of people using a Chromebook as it started with someone saying they're on a Chromebook and it doesn't work. The meme became one of those "I see you have issues, you're obviously on a Chromebook" jokes.

I've seen this guy around the itch.io FNF community, he like to joke around and troll. Don't worry about him, the Chromebook is a meme here oddly enough.

Hence why I've started my sentence "I hope they come out with optimization patches". I know it's early access, and despite its shortcomings, I've found it enjoyable.

I hope they come out with optimization patches because there are times where lag causes stutter and sync issues

Yeah, it's almost like it's an option to just donate to the creator, and we can pay what ever we want for the demo. Oh the horror, such a tragedy, the inhumanity. -.-

How can I check to see how much I've donated? Because I would like to pay the difference and get myeslf a steam key

I've got an error message

Patreon. Many people have found success through patreon as it's pretty simple and straight forward. Set it up to be per release or per month, certain pay tiers can be set, and all the consumer has to do is choose how much they would like to donate per cycle.

Sure thing, one thing to note though is some items do work with the repeat until full loop, just keep in mind to test before you start using it everywhere. Though it is known that next update will fix this issue

Dude, please stop spamming so much, everything you've been asking about has been explained in either the faq or the comments.

I've run into this issue as well, until the update comes out the work around I've found to work is to perfom all the actions needed and take out the extra movements. I.E. you have a bot picking up tree seeds and you want them to fill their hand before they deposit the seeds, you click pick up seed untill you have issued the command enough to fill the hand, usually it's 6, then you go and deposit. Usually you have to go back and forth for this, reorder and delete where necessary, until you get the bot to have all the commands necessary to go out and get a full load then deposit the load entirely. It's tedious, yes, but it works until the bug is fixed.

So, I've noticed the red circle seems to be the working area for the robot you're programming. Is there any way to set where this area is?
