Holy cow, what a gorgeous looking game!

Thank you!! I really had some hopeful ideas for the level design that I never got around to implement. I am pretty bummed that I couldn't make the main mechanic more of a central focus, but a jam game is a jam game :)

I was having issues with the parallax background when you changed the resolution, so I just disabled resizing the window instead of figuring out why it was broken. If it weren't a jam game, I would have tried to work it out or implement a viewport to prevent different resolutions from screwing with the parallax, but a jam game is a jam game! Glad you enjoyed it!!

Completely valid feedback!! In fact, I've already swapped the light and dark pillars, but wanted to keep the itch version as what I posted at the deadline, until after judging! But you're right! It was a total oversight by me and in hindsight it seems completely obvious! 🤦‍♂️

LOL I found that out when I was watching Panda and Aia play! xD

I'm curious about where you got stuck, because I was EXTREMELY conscious about avoiding soft locks. I had to redesign the entire level twice because of it. I even completely changed a game mechanic because of it! Level design isn't really my forte so I'm curious where I missed.

Yeah, Coyote time was the only thing I wish I had implemented, but I thought I might be able to get away without it given it wasn't a precision platformer, but even I felt like it was missing when I played my own game.

Really fun  game! It was really engaging trying to find the recipes to make certain potions!!!!

ROBO, I'm blown away!!! This would be impressive if this took you all jam, but the fact that this is a late recovery from a huge loss of work just leaves me speechless. I absolutely would play this game if you were to ever finish it! Great job, and I'm glad you've seen the light of GIT ;)

I absolutely loved the charming artstyle!!! Really cool idea, and STELLAR for  being both of yours' first game jam!!!

Holy crap this game is addicting!!! I was stubborn and didn't read the instructions at first and eventually figured out the interactions with the colors on the wheel! But that says more about my stubbornness and nothing about poor game design, so no worries! It's dangerously addictive and I love the gameplay loop!!! It was fun not only to think about which colors I had to get to touch, but also which colors I had to prevent from touching!!  You absolutely killed it with this entry!

Completely charming game!  Great gameplay loop and loved how the look and sound of the game tied it all together!!!

This was an absolutely addicting game with a really charming art style!!! I do wish there were some background audio that would get me more immersed, but just a minor gripe and given it's a jam game, not really a problem! Great job guys!

Absolutely charming game!! Love the art, it really felt cohesive! My only real complaint is that if I landed while holding space, I'd jump immediately, which led to me just tapping space, but that caused me to not jump as high. Very frustrating, but the addictive nature of the game made up for it!

Really adorable game with great art, great concept, and great audio!!!

Okay, this is a seriously well designed and well flushed out game!!!! Love both the idea and the execution! 10/10 The snarky comments before he eats you about Panda having already finished his game were the icing on the cake LOL

Absolutely fun and addicting game!! Great addition with the audio, it really set the mood and I had an absolute blast! My only real complaint, is that once the game ends, there's no way to start a new game without refreshing the page, no "play again" button. But otherwise, great job!!!

Really cool and fun concept! I would have liked to see some audio, but I totally get leaving that on the cutting floor. I loved the art, too! I may not have understood, but I got the bronze dwarf all the way down to the platform and nothing appeared to happen, so I'm not sure if it was bugged or I was just doing something wrong. I also found that if you just yeeting items up off the top of the screen, they'd disappear and become no longer your problem, not sure if that was intentional or not.

LOVE THE SOUND EFFECTS!!!!! It was fun trying to figure out how each med impacted the blood sugar and on what timeframe!  I kept Hazel alive on the second attempt, so I'm going to apply for my Vet's license tomorrow!

Fun little game! Could have used some sound, would have loved some way to augment my squad after spawning them, like if I collect enough meat, I can buy upgrades or something, so that I felt rewarded for my success.

Everything about this game is GREAT!!! I have one minor gripe, when extra balls get shot out, I have no idea why this happens and so it's not rewarding and in fact can be a little frustrating at times when the extra ball knocks some surplus ingredients into the potion. I want to feel responsible for the decisions made in the game, and with that one, because I couldn't ever tell what caused it or how to control it, I felt like I was at the whim of RNG. That being said, I'm fully open to accepting it was obvious and I just didn't notice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Love the art, love the fun little story and the personality of his Eminence!

Ok, I'm obsessed. I'm prolly gonna return to this one after the jam, to play more  :) The art is perfect, the sound engineering is on point. The only POSSIBLE complaint I could have is that it lagged my browser out when loading.  But that's not really your fault at all, if this were a desktop game, I'm sure it'd run just fine. LOVED IT!

LOVE the story! You absolutely killed it!!

Seriously addictive little game! I would maybe adjust the hitboxes on the stars (or make the stars bigger to fit the hitboxes), I didn't feel like dying was my fault sometimes.

Honestly, really cozy game! Love the art style, especially the treeussy that the squirrels peek out of :)

Amazing pixel art!!! I wish I were half as good as you!!!

Love this game!!! The artstyle is really endearing and the music is a bop!

Glad you liked the game!!! Thanks for pointing out the bug! I've fixed it! :)

Really fun platformer! I'd love to see a fleshed out version with more levels and bosses!
