Fun, but difficult! I do really like the concept, it's just tough to pay attention to both parts at once. As others said, repositioning the ui might make this easier

Great job on this! I'm a fan of tank games like this, and the aesthetic is really nice. The controls take a bit to get used to, especially paying attention to where you're aiming in case of hitting yourself. Maybe a little direction indicator would make it more intuitive

On the 4th screen, there is one tile of non-animated lava under the blue block that you can go through

very cool! Managed to get through that version a bit quicker, but I think I'm still missing one coin in somewhere. There is one point where you can get under the lava, but I didn't see  what to do with that. Couldn't do it anywhere else so doesn't seem like a bug :P

Love this game! Took me 22 minutes 300 deaths and I only got 13/16 coins. I did find one secret room on level 8, but it didn't seem to lead anywhere. Great job!

Love the presentation here, especially the simplicity of the intro screen, walking out from the rows of bots! The detection is pretty tough, as someone who is bad at rhythm games in general. Maybe it could use 3 strikes and you restart to make it a bit easier.

And what a great title ;)

Great use of the limitation! And overall a really fun game, the bass cannons were tough :)

We gave it a bit of an update so there's more variety in platforms/batteries, and spamming laser is a little less useful. The battery charging the gun is a great idea! thanks for playing :)

Nice game! I found the best way to stack a four was to land it on top of a 1. Couldn't manage it any other way. I do wish there was a way to have a wider base at the start, but overall this is a great use of the limitation

Thanks! Collision with the score is a little weird overall, but I fixed this instance at least, so blocks should collide properly with the player.

The (2) block's ability is to copy the last one it touched. Maybe it could use an easier level to introduce the mechanic, so players know to be careful with it on the harder level and not get stuck. Thanks for playing!

I do like that idea of players discovering this on their own, but it could really use some natural way to discover those in gameplay. Maybe have a more obvious secret platform in an earlier level so players know to look, or let them catch a glimpse if they fall in one of the other pits

The presentation was really well done, loved the artwork and music, and the movement/gameplay smooth.  Great game!

Also, it seems the level doesn't render when I play in firefox, had to switch to chrome.

Love this entry! The art and music is great, and it's my favorite gameplay of jam. Enjoyed the upgrades and don't think the scaling was too bad for a jam game - it takes a few tries before rolling through with 20 Penny :)

Only issues i had were the fire audio as mentioned below, and it seems the main menu did not work after restarting a finished game.

As others have said, I wish there was a little more to it so replay wasn't as repetitive.  But I liked the theme and limitation here, and music was great. nice game!

nice game, took me a while to figure out how to get through the logs, would be nice to have some indicator that they are burning maybe

Nice job on this! It's a bit tough since so much depends on heat, and regen is a little slow. I'm gonna give it a few more tries though, it's fun

Clever use of the restriction for a pong game, it was fun! I need to try pico-8 dev some day

Really enjoyed this one! The fast pace and branching level makes many restarts fun. Only managed to get rank C ;-;

Love the game! It's my favorite art from the jam so far, good job!
