I don't know what TOUHOU you are talking about.

Thank you for playing Michael! I'm glad you like the screen wrap mechanic. Definitely making the movement a lot more interesting with crazy bullet hell!

Thank you for playing! We definitely would love to make the game more challenging but time constraints this year limited us to only 24hrs :( So with the large health pool, you can still at least go ham with the enemies :D

Glad you enjoyed the music! You can checkout more from our friend

But but... What about me 😞

This is 1 of da gam evr of all time!

Getting that Hotline Miami vibe from the game :) Very fun gun play, definitely rolling the dice on robbing the casino. One criticism though is, since the art of character, backgrounds are quite flat combining with bright color and large map, it look very busy to the eye. I think having the map viewport zoom in a bit more would make aesthetic better. Overall very fun to play!

I reenabled the web version on our game page. You can try to play it now :) The quality isn't great on the web version as compare to executable build, but it's manageable. Click off of the game will cause the music to be out of sync with the gameplay unfortunately so just keep that in mind.

Simple yet challenging to play. Definitely have to risk it all a few times with 'R' to get a platform to jump. Would be awesome if we have a some sfx for the game to juice up the gameplay. Also, a bit of nitpick, but the movement felt a bit floaty. I think for platformer, keeping the jump mechanic tighter would make the game feel much better. Overall, this is a solid entry. Good job!

The game is so cute. The final boss battle felt super intense from the music, but it was quite easy still. My favorite part was probably the pop up ads, so random yet hilarious at the same time. Great job on the game!

Wow, this game get all top ratings from me. Incredibly fun game! Control is super fast and tight, perfect amount for a platformer game. SFX and juice are the right amount. Usually RNG can be quite dangerous as it can make the player feel cheated, but somehow this game strike the perfect balance between powerup/down from each dice pick up. One small criticism would be the map is way too big, and hard to navigate. A minimap would probably help. But I guess it is the point of the game, to go fast and learn where not to go for the next run. Overall, incredible game. I think this is one of the best submission I played in the jam so far. Great job!

RNGeezus is on my side today. I did the roll or die twice and got it both for 35 free steps :D I guess some criticisms would be to make the gameplay a bit shorter, since things can get a bit drawn out with AI mostly in control. And spite up the visual indicator, or different player art would be great to tell who is who. Overall great gambling game! Fueled my gambling addiction for the day.

Saw your game on GMTK discord. Definitely see that you put a lot of care into making the visual/sfx fun and aesthetically pleasing to look and play :) For the audio part, I think this has potential to be a great rhythm game, like timing your jump with the music/beats! But I guess the music is a little bit somber so it didn't achieve that vibe. Overall though, I think the game is solid entry! Definitely enjoyed the game a lot more when it reach the speed of 60+ score :D

Would be awesome if you checkout our game too. We tried to blend music and level design together for a quick game.

Really enjoyed a bit of a strategy game you got here. Most of the time, I just tried to hide in the corner and only expose the 6 & 5 sides then way for the enemies to come to you :D Although this strat doesn't work with the "sniper" enemy, since they don't come to you. Also, when you are standing still, the sniper's missile crosshair would be inside the player, so sometime it was hard to tell that you are being aim at. Other than that, I think this is a very solid game! Awesome job!

Would love for you to checkout our game as well :)

I really like the game aesthetic. Very fun when the dice roll is in your favor, your character basically zooming all over the places. On the other hand, when RNGezzus hate you, the game can feel extremely frustrating due to lack of jump high and speed. I have a feeling that the spike collision box is a bit big. I think it would be better to make the collision box a bit smaller to give player somewhat of control back from all of the RNG from the roll.

Also very funny with the "hot dice single" ads popup in the game. Couldn't stop grinning when I saw it :L

Overall, really enjoyed the game! Awesome job!

Very cool laser shooting. Fun and simple gameplay! SFX for shooting is very satisfying, although would have like it more to add sfx on hitting the enemies, and taking damage. The gameplay end very abruptly a lot of the time when you did not notice you got hit before. Also player movement is very fast and floaty, very common with platformer game made with Unity D': One quick improvement I usually do is to mess around with that gravity & mass number in the ridgidbody. Guarantee for better jumping experience.

Overall, great job on this game!

Haha, certainly the same realization during the making of the game ourselves.

Thank you for the feedback. We tried to incorporate some of the music elements into the gameplay itself. Definitely was a challenge on syncing goal post reveal with music beat drop, and camera shake based on bpm. I agreed on the visual warning. The goal post reveal was supposed to be a surprised with some explosion when it happen. But I guess the explosion particle was a bit underwhelming. This project mostly has been trying to playing around with Unity URP lighting :D and a bit of learning on how to juice up a simple gameplay.

Neat game. Add some more SFXs, juices, camera shake and we have another mobile hit on the way :D I guess some criticism would be to explore more on how to encourage player to take more risk to jump, since the only incentive right now is to increase high score. Could be something as simple as changing the scenery the further you go, incentivize player to take more risk and explore the abyss! Maybe that could be something to add for the next game version! Looking forward to that mobile release ;D

Overall great job on the game!

Got captured by UFO and the game crashed for me. Maybe that is what actually would happen if you get capture by alien in real life D:

But in all seriousness, I really like the cute artsy look. Although, the gameplay does get confusing at a time like why does some fish damage you, and some out right end your run :( Or why at some level, the player became super floaty?  Some UI indicator could be helpful to know what sort of weather condition the player is in.

Overall, varieties of weather and obstacles do keep the gameplay exciting. Good job!

Thank you for playing. I'm glad you enjoyed the game. It was certainly part of the intention at the end to let's the player embrace the chaos :D

(1 edit)

Thank you for playing. Fair criticism on the confusing game play. The goal was to block the balsl and supposedly getting more difficult as the level progress. Other way to also play the game is to embrace the chaos and score goals instead :)

Thank you Raw-Input, music was done by the talented Chord Cutter https://soundcloud.com/chordcutter

Thank you for playing. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

I should become a game journalist, apparently the tutorial is my greatest enemy today :D

Oh man, this really speak volume to RNG. Keep getting bad roll, and my plant never grow pass 25m. I think it would be better if we have some audio feedback, and somehow less RNG :(

"I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky!"

Really good for your first game jam. Awesome job!
