That's a great take on the theme with very nice character art and visuals! Gameplay certainly needs some tweaking, but there are some really good part. I certainly enjoyed the lightning the way it predicts your movement and you have a very quick moment to react.

How does your game fit the theme?
The random (like rolling the dice)aspects of the gameplay include weather and locations you need to go to . The player also has to traverse dangerous environments which can result in them losing the game.

A very interesting concept. Unfortunately, there just wasn't much for me to get into with it. I really liked the artwork, and I can see a lot of the time went to that. One suggestion I'd make is with the arrows telling you what direction to go. Instead of having both left and right be on the bottom-left, how about putting one on each side, so it points right from the right and left from the left. I'd also highlight the goal once it goes on screen by removing both of those arrows and pointing to it directly.
I see in the description that this was your first game jam, so congratulations on completing it. Running out of time is a really common issue with jams, and the most important skill to learn and develop with them (IMO) is time management and keeping the scope of your game within what you can do in the limited time. I made the mistake of going with a really high-concept game my first game jam (before doing the GMTK jams), so I've been there myself. Just keep practicing and participating in jams, and it will get easier with time. Good luck with your future game jams.
Super pretty game! I felt a little confused as to what was happening with certain weather effects occasionally, but it was a neat game nonetheless. Nice work!
Liked the character animations. The jump seems a bit off, too high and not much gravity. Overall, great take on your first game jam.
Hello from a fellow GameMaker enthusiast!
Got captured by UFO and the game crashed for me. Maybe that is what actually would happen if you get capture by alien in real life D:
But in all seriousness, I really like the cute artsy look. Although, the gameplay does get confusing at a time like why does some fish damage you, and some out right end your run :( Or why at some level, the player became super floaty? Some UI indicator could be helpful to know what sort of weather condition the player is in.
Overall, varieties of weather and obstacles do keep the gameplay exciting. Good job!
Art is super cute and well made, idea is unique (it's interesting having the weather conditions as the obstacle), and the variety of the gameplay is enjoyable :)
I really like the way the character feels to play and the animations are beautiful! perhaps adding a little screen shake would do wonders for this game! The background didnt really fit with the character so much which was sad but other than that the look and feel of the game was great! perhaps having something on the inside of the building would have been cool too! like collecting gems or something? I dont know, really cool game though!
Nice look and feel. The controls were pretty intuitive. I think I found a bug where interiors didn't render properly, and it crashed when the UFO snagged me. But, I enjoyed the characterization and setting :)
Cute game and fun once I got how it works. The randomly appearing hazards made the gameplay more interesting. Where you have to go can be confusing. At first I didn't even get that the arrow was there and showed me the way to my goal. Maybe it should be placed more centrally on the screen and/or have an animation or vfx to gain attention from the player. It is also very easy to just run past your goal without noticing it, so it would be nice if as soon as your goal is on screen you see an arrow or other indicator at its location rather than just the arrow showing you the direction.
Looked and sounded good, just didn't quite understand the game mechanics.
I like the idea, the arrow that indicates where to go is pretty annoying, i often missed the actual point, as it looks simallar no matter if it points left or right, i like the concept of delivering packages while random stuff happens, i think said random stuff could be more frequent, honestly i think this concept would work better without any back tracking (running forward through the town, and having parkour on buildings and stuff)
