hehe, im glad you think so! i also specifically made it for when you have time to kill and nothing to do, so "the exact opposite of being aggresively bored" definitely fits the vibe i wanted.

generally, i think playtesting might be a good idea, haha

thanks for the feedback! i havent touched this in forever and i made it in like a week, so im not surprised to see problems in my design lol. if i get motivated to i might revisit this and patch it up. or heck, maybe ill rework it entirely. appreciate that you tried it out in the first place!

there was music and sound effects, did you not hear them?

either way, appreciate the nice words!!

fren indeed!! glad you enjoyed it!

not only fun but honestly beautiful. great experience!!

i was wondering if anyone would find the silly hat!

(1 edit)

glad you liked it!
wow, i say that a lot, huh

i hoped that with the smallness of the map it wouldnt be too hard to figure out what to do
glad you liked it tho!

thank you! making the level was most of the development time so im glad you liked it

glad you liked it! fun fact, the clouds were originally going to be sorta like a death-plane when youre small in case you miss a jump, so that way you wouldnt have to backtrack and try again, but then i was reccomended to make them solid, and that turned out way better!
and yeah, i use pico 8 a lot! just wait till i publish one of my picotron projects, theyre gonna be much bigger >:)

THIS IS SO FUN. id love to see this expanded to a bigger game!!!

this is so cute!! i love it!!

this is really really hard, im so bad at these kinds of games haha...

very cute and fun!

its a furniture company

it does help, although it still doesnt fit that definition. eh, no matter! i had fun making it. will probably make another one page ttrpg anyway

idk if i should submit it or not

thats intentional!
and yes, fren makes their debut! expect them to be a placeholder sprite in other projects of mine too!

glad you enjoyed!

very fun, and very fleshed out! honestly i couldnt wrap my head around all of it haha

yay

short and sweet little story and game! the visuals were really cute, but the visual language of the game can be a little unclear. i liked that the main mechanic is basically that flying is faster but harder than walking, but you cant walk all the way to the end.

very fun! all of the rooms are bite-sized which makes the game feel really fast-paced!
highscore, room 19!

really fun!! highscore 117!
at some point i found a glitch, where if you grab a wall on a frame where cubixim is invisible after getting hit, he stays invisible until he gets hit again, and the only visual indicator of where he is is the stamina bar, which was very funny to discover

really fun! the music was awesome! really my only wish for this game was that there would be more of it (as in more spells or more variation in the patterns), but seeing as this is a game jam, im not judging!
my highscore is 117!

thanks! glad you enjoyed it

im glad you liked it!

very cool! i had some trouble with the controls, but overall a really fun game!

very fun and challenging! the extra hearts that appear from time to time are really nice!
the themeing makes for a great premise for the back-and-forth between shootin' and getting hearts!
my highscore is 32!

im gonna eat pancakes for dinner today :D

i can wait.

actually, i may be unable to stream it

https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=38399 i was just googling to see if its possible, and found this from 2020. :l

you can actually reopen the guide through the menu! (its one of the side buttons in browser, and enter or escape outside of that i believe)

ill happily add a readme to the zip folders (and also make it downloadable by itself). i could also add the icons of stuff to the guide itself if i optimize the game a bit. glad you enjoy it despite the criticisms tho!

hey, if you want any help game making, id be glad to help out :D

i wanna submit a thingy i made that isnt itself a ttrpg but it is specifically for tabletop games (its a virtual table)
