Oh wow thanks, just realized that the web version wasn't updated, it was playing version 1.00 instead of the current 1.02. Just updated all versions to 1.03 with some quality of life changes.

Has for the upgrades, yes the goal is to eventually have each plant have different uses / skills. So you could have one that is close quarter and does a lot of damage, one that's super slow but shoots massive AoEs, one with a chain lightning that also puts enemies to sleep, etc... This is the system I'm currently working on and should be coming in the near future.

Sorry you felt this way! There should be a 8 step tutorial that appears on the left side of the screen when you start a game, but it's very basic, don't know if you saw that. But I'm already reworking it and the experience should be better in the next version.

Hello everyone, this a  thread for all the feedback you have regarding the current version of Necroflora!

I wouldn't worry too much about it if you plan on continuing this game mostly has a download option. I find browser versions can sometime be fiddly, maybe just also add a downloadable version :)

Love the little characters, they're cute and the deflect mechanic is fun, but I think it needs some work. The enemies seem to always aim at your feet instead of your body, which I feel make it a bit awkward to dodge. Also the sword doesn't seem to be equally spaced around the cursor, it deflects mostly before the cursor and not very much after the cursor if that makes any sense. Congrats on making a game for the jam though and best of luck to you!

Very good entry despite everything that happened to you, hope things are better now! Reminds me of games like I am bread and older adventure games from game cube and such. The character is very cute too. The climbing mechanic seemed a bit janky, like I could just climb all the way to the door, maybe some sort of limit / stamina bar. Loved it overall, congrats on finishing the jam and best of luck to you!

10/10 for the graphic style, love the ambiance of the scene. the camera does make the movement a bit awkward  but nothing that's can't be fixed. The content seems very minimal, nothing seems to happen after you get out of the glass dome, but it does show great potential.

Cool concept, I like the idea of gathering ingredients at night and then fighting during the day, but I struggled to understand how to interact with the game to really have fun. I seem like you have to draw runes ? But it was really hard cause my cursor didn't line up with where it was drawing. Also when I did draw the shape it didn't seem to have any result, bit of a shame cause I'm sure if I could understand that part the game could be quite fun. Congrats on finishing your game, it does look quite good visually and perhaps some other players will understand it better then I did. Good job overall!

Good job on making a game, looks like there is a lot to do and lot of combinations which sounds promising, but there was too many information thrown at me without real guidance. I did enjoy the sort of mini game aspect, with the pot mixing and such. A bit more of emphasis on teaching the player what they can do even if the game is supposed to be like a sandbox I think could help a lot.

Looked quite unique and fun, but sadly doesn't run well for me at all, (like 1 FPS) running linux mint, same result in both chromium and firefox. Best of luck to you!

Very smooth so far, would have been nice to have a bit of a different twist to it, something new or a combination of mechanics not seen before, but I think this is a good starting point for a project.

Edit : This is now fixed in version 1b

Yeah sorry about that, it doesn't happen often but it does happen sometime, quitting and restarting the tutorial should work, but I'll put this issue as top priority for the next version, as I know it can be really confusing.

Thanks for trying it out! Hope you had a nice camping trip :)

Thanks glad you enjoyed it, and hope you had a wonderful camping trip!

Ahah true, who doesn't need a loyal friend :), glad you had fun camping!

Just tried it on my raspberry pi, on rasbian with chrome OS and works great :) probably something with Firefox yeah. Well glad I managed to try is properly, some cool and wacky ideas in there ! :D

First of let me say I love the theme for your entry and it looks great. The gameplay is entertaining and fun too, but the one thing holding it back in my opinion is how slow it takes for the story to move along. I wish I could read all the story but I can't manage to get past the wife bit.  Kind of a shame, but aside from that great entry, maybe just add a difficulty slider or something :) Rated!

Love the idea/concept of it, being an ant and having to get ready for winter, I think you could do a lot more with this idea if you wanted. But this is definitely a good first draft. The grabbing mechanic felt a bit awkward to me, seems like the head and the leaf must be aligned quite precisely for it to work, but aside from that, good entry :)

Very touching story, really appropriate for the theme and to see all the "steps" of the journey was really fun. Super good entry :)

Love how it looks, pretty solid entry. I would say though adding some verticality to the level, especially since jumping is already in, would have made gameplay a lot more interesting. Nonetheless, still really like it, seems like you can just use the dash while dashing not sure if that's intended. Rated!

Thank you for trying it out, shame you faced those bugs, will have to investigate them, thank you! And yeah placing is a bit finicky too sometimes. Hope you still had fun!

Pretty good entry :) I do feel like there's a "big" flaw, at least to me. I looove the mechanic you have in place, sucking the leaves and then shooting them all at once is very satisfying. The only thing is that leaves spawns so slowly I spent most of my time just running around. I think you should have leaves spawn in abundance, so there's always a lot of them and just reduce their damage. so instead of shooting 3-4 leaves at once we could shoot maybe 10-12 and really see that "poof" of leaves coming out.  Still a very fun entry and definitely fits the theme, good work :)

Lovely short entry, not going to lie, I think it's one of my favorites so far, so simple yet so cozy. I looove the art style, for some odd reason I really like it. The ending was really sweet. Will be looking for more adventures from kitty & bun :)

The art is very nice, fits the autumn theme well, didn't manage to build my house, bit too hard for me :D some of those spike jumps are quite tight. Loved exploring the level though. Great overall.

Not sure if I'm missing something but from what I get there's supposed to be chests around the forest ? Yet I can't find even one, not sure if they didn't load or something. That aside, the forest looks good, just a bit of a shame I can't get any ideas D: (tested in Firefox on ubuntu)

Sadly like the others, camera is hard to control, inverted is one thing, but for me it's suuuper sensible too, nevertheless. Nice entry! I really like those kinds of game, in the future I'd like to see a non-timed mode, cause there's a lot out there ahah.
