I really enjoyed this. Lovely graphics and chill atmosphere. Cool system for crafting.
I would have loved a goal for this. :)
We were aiming for a more chill experience with no fail states. But you're right, perhaps some goal would've been nice :) Thanks for the feedback and kind words! :)
Oh, one more recommendation. It would be nice if full screen were supported.
As it is, because of the size of the game window, the Itch.io tags were hanging over my game the whole time I was playing (see screenshot):
That's certainly a good point, we kind of forgot to address those tags, as we were mostly testing locally. I saw a few games having troubles especially with the game jam tag as it's quite long.
Definitely very good feedback for the future, thank you! :)
Nice chill game, great job!
Thanks glad you enjoyed it, and hope you had a wonderful camping trip!
Really cute!
Thanks for trying it out! Hope you had a nice camping trip :)
I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was neat to figure out how things interact. :)
Thanks for checking the game out and for the kind words! :)
Really pretty game! I really like the idea of a chill camping experience. I feel like the dog should be with you no matter what though.
I agree
Thanks very much for checking the game out! :)
Yeah, you're probably right, everything is better with a dog!
Ahah true, who doesn't need a loyal friend :), glad you had fun camping!
Liked the big-pixel graphic and the atmosphere, without some bugs I encountered I'd spend lot more time with it. The bugs are the card shifting to the side when you collect lot fo things and then drop some (some cards even went off screen), and the combine method not always working (got the stones down to build a firepalce one time, then couldn't replicate it in any way in a differente play).
Without bugs and with a deep "tree" of combination, this could become a game in which to sink a good amount of time, good work
Thank you for trying it out, shame you faced those bugs, will have to investigate them, thank you! And yeah placing is a bit finicky too sometimes. Hope you still had fun!
Good job on this! I also had trouble figuring out the items, but like most jam games I think the concept is there. The "klunkiness" of combining items and such does give me the same feelings I get while camping - there's a general wonder how anything works or how you would survive if not for society.
Thanks for submitting this, I enjoyed it quite a bit! :)
Thank you for giving our game a go and for the kind words!
No problem!
I hope you'll take a minute to check out my game, rate it, and leave some feedback! Thanks!
It's currently crashing my gpu drivers on my Linux machine but I'll give it a go on Windows soon!
I'll upload a Linux build today.
I didn't seem to understand how to combine card i.e. to make a campfire :) The game looks amazing, i'd be glad to try it out again if you explain
Hi! Thanks for checking our game out! :)
The control scheme is admittedly a little complicated but it's the only way we could make it work reliably. To make a campfire, you first make a firepit by putting a stone on the ground by selecting the stone card and right-clicking on the ground near the player. Then you select another stone card and left-click the stone you placed on the ground (or you can just use a stone that's already on the ground). Same then with using logs in the firepit using left-click etc :)
It's always left-click to pick up and combine, right-click to drop some items on the ground.
Hope this helps!
I see! This was quite enjoyable! I liked the low pressure gameplay. I obviously always took the dog with me and i tried some other items. There's a lot of cute details hidden that I loved! I like how you can try things out and sometimes a little dialogue pops up! A very cute entry.
Thank you very much for the kind words!
