To be fair, even in his best ending, Jarrod strikes me as kind of an “out of sight, out of mind” kind of guy. I can’t really see him putting in the effort to write letters and keep up correspondence with anyone who isn’t directly relevant to him - so maybe it would only be viable to stay friends if the MC ends up in Revaire at the end of the game? Not sure if he gets any extra epilogue content on those routes or not.

The last Weaver scene has a pretty difficult interpersonal insight check (270 IIRC) that you need to pass in order to unlock the Weaver secret and ally with Avalie. You’ll also need high persuasion to convince her, but I don’t think it’s higher than 500 (which you’ll need anyways to convince the Jiyel ambassador for the legendary ending).
Did he pull you aside in the corridor before talking to the Matchmaker? If he did, I think that unlocks his path. Stuff that helps includes inviting him to your first event (he always says no, but it doesn't use up a slot and probably gets you some romance with him), visiting your room every week (I usually do it 2/3 times and still get his confession), and being nice to your servants. You might also have to do well in the Week 4 trial and figure out the Historians' secret chain to do his romance, but I haven't tried it yet, so I'm not sure.
I’ve gotten blackmail options three times so far - one for Jaslen’s secret, one for Avalie’s, and one for Zarad’s (for Jaslen, I only needed to see one scene - for Zarad, I needed his confession to get the option.) For both options, it happened at the end of the day’s negotiations, where I was asked if I wanted to blackmail the character whose secret I knew. For Avalie, I think I only got the option when she wasn’t my ally.
To pass the check with Avalie and get his date, you need at least 35 insight (which should be quite doable from meeting all the delegates on the first night) and 25 people. I'm not sure if it's possible to pass unless you took a background that gives +People (like the Revaire widow) or chose a bonus to People in character creation!
I've always chosen the 'she is more than she thinks and will find another way to help her family' options when talking to her in her friendship events, and have always had her on my (winning) team in the ship race (Hamin + Cordelia + Penelope + Lyon or Avalie), and have always been able to get her to go to Skalt in the end!
I’ve gotten the epilogue for her multiple times, and have always achieved the best outcome for Hise and Corval. Here are some of the things I did that I think helped with that:
- won the ship race in week 2 (gives a massive Hise approval boost)
- took a lead acting role in week 5 (I believe this gives Corval approval if you succeed)
- Told the Hise ambassador to negotiate with Corval for Henri’s relationship
- Spoke up at every opportunity in the Hise and Corval negotiations
- Suggested Hise and Corval form a joint navy
- Reminded Hise and Corval that they weren’t always that different (needs the History stat to succeed IIRC)
- Suggested that there are beneficial trade opportunities
- Promoted peace between Hise and Corval (didn’t need to spend any social influence to do so)
Hopefully this will get you the best outcome for Hise and the Cordelia epilogue!
Does this mean that it’s impossible to keep the summit going in the Jarrod+Gisette route? It’d make sense if that was the case, just wondering!
Also, is it possible to get a good peace end for Revaire without romancing Gisette as well? (MEGA SPOILERS BELOW)
I ask because I did an ending where there was an unprecedented era of cooperation for all the countries, and the people of Revaire plus Clarmont were happy and safe, but Sayra was unhappy and plotting to assassinate a certain someone later (the Isle still vanished here, so I think I still got a bad ending for Revaire). I’m guessing the best peace end would have the MC there as well to help Sayra so that she wouldn’t suffer too much?
When you start a new game, you get a prompt asking if you want to activate NG+ boosts. The game then tells you what boosts you unlocked for each relevant epilogue/romance/origin.
I got a bad end due to the Revaire bug the first time and didn't see any bonuses from starting a new playthrough then, so can confirm bad ends don't seem to give bonuses!
