hey thanks! iirc it’s just a simple 4 directional walker pattern with screen wrap :) you can check out the code that’s at the jam submission page

nice graphics and gameplay, very fun

very fun, great graphics and addictive gameplay

thank you! definitely planning a post-jam version with more polish, sounds, bug fixes and new mechanics :)

as for the numbers at the bottom - on the left is your score and on the right is the variation you're currently playing (everybody should be playing the same set of variations, this way you can compare scores with others)

cool

thanks a lot for playing, happy you had fun with it!

thank you! there definitely are some similarities :)

thanks for playing!

thank you! really appreciate you liked it.

there are definitely few bugs, especially as you say with the L shapes, post-jam version is planned. i would love to continue work on it because i actually had fun playing it myself and i have a lot of ideas left to explore.

thanks for the feedback. yeah, the tripping over was meant as a joke but i really wish i could fit it in!

real chill

hah thank you!

it has soul (i like it)

oh really? it might take a little while in the browser to start up. i might add downloadable version too

wtf (i like it)

simply great

this is really fun, it's like the qwop of lawn mowing games

great job haha

thanks for playing! yeah it can get tricky haha

hey thanks for playing! yeah i wish it were more polished too, i didn’t have enough time but glad you liked the idea, i might give it another shot at some point

no secrets to anybody

i wanted to play around with an idea of "recollecting" - so you can see something and remember it by pressing z and recall it later by pressing x

the idea was that you can remember only so much while the rest of your world falls apart (just realized i forgot to add that, hah)

explore ancient ruins

rebuild recollection

let me check my spaghetti alfredo code

seems like a boat to me. how far does it sail?

haha those are the paves actually

there’s no goal, just a mindless paving session

had this idea about creating your own constellations and making them come alive

they fall off the sky instead

i made a little puzzle game that i feel might interest some people:

here’s my little puzzle game

i’m really happy you enjoyed it. you think making it into a whole game would be worth it?

thanks a lot! i guess i’ll continue to work on the game more

original and hard! love it.

finished, this is very well done! it could be kind of a metroidvania style game where you can only access certain parts with certain characters and would lead to different paths. this is really fun, congrats.

oops, silly me., haha.

i don't seem to understand one thing - once you use the ability, you're not able to use it anymore?

hey, thanks so much for the feedback, i'm happy you're enjoying this!
i came up with myself but i kind of had the game of life in mind - i was always fascinated with the amount of depth it provides with such a limited ruleset and wondered if i could make an interesting game out of it. there's not a lot here obviously but  i think expanding on the idea might lead to interesting game in the future.
i'll happily check your game out!

oh man, sorry about that! but i’ll buy you a beer if you can figure it out, haha.

thanks for playing!

hey, thanks so much for playing!
i am a big fan of puzzle games so it's  great to hear you had one of those moments - personally i love it too when you suddenly realize that you *understand*  and not *figured it out* (such as in baba is you or sausage roll) and i was kind of going for that. it's my first attempt to make a puzzle game so your feedback is really appreciated. thank you!

thanks for playing!
yeah, like i said before, i am aware of the ruleset being a bit arbitrary and i plan to make things much easier to grasp, as well as to design more levels that would slowly make sure players understand the mechanics. it's probably going to end up totally different but the core idea will still be kind of position-based.

it takes some time to get used to the controls but overall it's very well done, challenging too!
