nice graphics and gameplay, very fun
good visual project
I really like the idea of previous runs being used. Great job!
Cool idea with the double character. The graphics are difficult to see at first but it’s a nice layout.
Would you play and rate mine, too?
Clever game, makes me feel dumb :)
good job.
I would have loved a better indicator of the lifespan of the character. I found myself messing up many times purely because I didn’t know how much time I had left, or when my earlier self was going to do something. As others have mentioned, the audio is suuuuuuper quiet, which I’m assuming was unintentional. But overall the mechanic is interesting, I’ve played similar takes on this style, but never at this resolution. It reads well, and the levels are quite good for how little screen real estate you have to work with.
The overall execution of the game great, very polished and well presented. I especially liked the pixelart backgrounds.
The time loop mechanics are really clever and obviously have a lot of depth, but I found it so overwhelming and even after trying the first couple of levels again I still can't really work it out. I persisted with it but I think a lot of people are just going to bounce off the initial difficulty spike. There's a lot of things to keep track of and even the first level had me hopelessly stuck and just jumping around wildly waiting to luck out. I only managed to get to the fourth screen after about fifteen minutes.
I think maybe if the various mechanics like the countdown, respawning with the E key etc. were introduced more slowly over the first few levels it would make learning what's going on easier. I don't want this to sound too negative, there's obviously some really good gameplay here, I just couldn't get to it. :)
I'm guessing it's just a mistake that the audio is really quiet. I turned up the speakers and the music was actually really nice :)
Very nice concept and art!
It was a little bit confusing at start, but after I figured it out it was awesome!
Excellent work!
It is really cool, but I kept on being confused as to which guy was mine.
I wish there was an option at the end of each death to let me choose to save that run or not, because sometimes I know what I want to do, I just fail at doing it - and then my failures keep getting in the way
I am on the team that submitted Bass Invaders - Give it a try!
The pixel-art is amazing! The game did not have any audio for me though. I do wish there was a little more time to execute some of the solutions. Awesome concept and great use of theme! :)
Really a cool mechanic! Graphics also look pretty good!
Is there a limit on how many past lives you can have? For me this kept increasing and at some point I lost the overview.
No, there isn't. I know it's can get messy after few try on difficult jump. I wanted to add some mechanics to delete past lives you don't need but I thought about it too late and i run out of time to add it to game jam build. I'm glad you liked it anyway.
Great original concept, really strong. I like how minimal it is - usually time oriented games have some complicated activation mechanism, but yours just goes. Really like that.
It's hard! I found it kind of overwhelming when all of my clones appeared.
Very cool game! looks excellent too.
The mechanic is really cool and one of the most unique! The art is so good. Great job!
Game crashed browser tab (progress bar filled up almost all the way but then stopped). Using Chrome on Mac.
Great concept! It was pretty difficult for me but definitely the coolest idea I've seen so far.
really cool concept
