Note I've uploaded some beautiful updates from Nils, but left the earlier versions for anyone interested in my own far more amateur artistic and design efforts :-)

Sorry to miss this so long ago! V column is limited to bombarding across the river (which is historical - they weren't much help to the Austrians!).

Awesome! Thanks so much again for doing this. Such a great initiative. Looking forward to comments/feedback.

Love the art and the simplicity of the rules!

Getting to what I hope is a more comprehensible version of the rules. Would like to hear whether the Combat Results Table (for hits/fall-back/retreat) is intuitive enough.

Rules are indeed currently a mess, a better version is coming. Basically, you flip one coin for each pip on your involved units, and hit on heads. After the initial flip, there are offensive/defensive re-flip bonuses. Then it’s attacker heads minus defender heads (the number on the CRT).

quite helpful thank you!

Tweaking the map and still trying to condense the rules. Going for somewhat fewer locations overall to maximize ability to clearly see where units are.

È un piacere di averti qui!

I love the aesthetic!

Incredibly cool-looking submission! And a lovely tribute to your great-uncle's memory.

Lol okay have attempted to shrink the rules in a way that will fit on the rear of the card. Font almost certainly too small and had to leave out diagrams so still some work to do.

See now :-)

Did my best with a version of the rules that doesn't even come close to fitting lol. Gotta work on simplifying further.

Love the topic!

Okay got some early rules up. Any advice as to how to condense them into postcard-sized form would be appreciated! Also sure there will be some comprehension issues so do please pick them apart.

Rules obviously blank at the moment :-D The basic mechanics will involve flipping coins to resolve combat, plus an Onitama-like circulation of double-sided order chits to model command/control/cohesion. Working on trying to condense them into a postcard-sized articulation. Lol not easy. Would love some feedback on the look/feel to start.
