I think that you had the same problem than VerttiXPertti, which is not a real problem ^^'. There is a message that said that you can press TAB or RB to switch perspective. As this is the only way to continue in the game, i lock all other movements inputs.
I'm currently working on a version 2.0 with cleaner code and more mechanism in head ^^.

With Unity : The secret is to project on a plane,"every" faces of an object as a PolygonCollider2D.

Really good usage of the theme !
It just miss some ambient music and some more sound effects and it would be awesome !

You should maybe add a character body to allow a beter visualisation of where you are (like in portal for exemple).

Arts works are greats ! But there is a cruel lack of consistency between the background, the pixel art styled character and the "hand drawn" styled character when there is dialog.

This firefly is CUTE AF !!!
It would have been great to add jump and landing animation (like sparkles and a squishy effect).

Arts look greats, but the game is pretty empty unfortunately.

It is hard to really know where you are and where to go with such a small view.

why did you use Unreal engine for a text based game ???
My computer started throwing out flames as soon as i start the game ^^

I more or less had the same idea for plateform that exist only when highlighted, but with the usage of the third dimension ^^.
Again, jumps are really frustating as you never really know when you are on a platform end or not.

But it's really hard to figure where to go.

As there are no punishment for wrong key, you can just spam the keys one after another and press space when available ^^'.
