Thank you! Tatiana did an amazing job on the controls, no doubt!

I'm glad the music is soothing! I'd love to make more like it in the future.

I'm sure we all agree. Unfortunately, time only permitted us to populate it with what is currently there.

Thank you! It is always nice to see a group project come together.

Thank you! The music was very fun to make. I do enjoy the added pressure of short jams like this to get things done.

I really liked the lighting in the game! It was a very nice touch. I see that my other points have already been made by others, so I will say great work on your first jam!

Dreary audio? Aww yeah! Thank you, that was exactly what I was going for.

Thanks! It was a blast making the sounds and music!

The audio was well crafted for this. The music sets a nice old school mood, kinda spacey-carefree. The SFX were nice as well, although I'll have to admit that the intro dialog was skipped as fast as possible for me. That particular tone was very ice-picky. The other comments have already mentioned my feelings on the boost. I would remove "Give Up" as an option. It is too easy to stumble upon.

Overall, great entry!

Interesting game. Those carrots can take a lot of hits from me firing carrots at them shot from a carrot. As someone else already mentioned, having some kind of indicator visually or aurally when you hit an enemy successfully would really help spruce this up. I wasn't really sure if I was doing the right thing for a bit because they take so many hits to take down and didn't really show any sign of weakening. Nice work and good entry.

Cool entry! I really like the idea for the indicators on a ring around the ship. That is so well implemented! It isn't visually intrusive at all, but it really adds a lot. Nice work overall.

I dig this a lot! The bending of the window to make it look like an old CRT tv is right up my alley. I'm not sure I've ever played a game with less controls than a pinball machine, so thank you for that experience. The sounds were minimal but fit the aesthetic perfectly. I wish it had some music to set the mood.

Hit me up if you'd like to talk sound and music.

Very nice game, overall.

Really loved the visuals for this game! They looked very professional and polished. It set a great vibe for the game right out of the gate. I wasn't quite sure how to deal with the projectiles. It seems like some times I could get rid of them, and sometimes I couldn't. I have no earthly idea what the green power up does. The attack and hit sounds are pretty basic but they fit well, so no qualms there at all. I really want for some more of a soundtrack to this game. I can't say enough good things about the way it looks, and I think this game could be turned into something a little bigger.

Feel free to reach out of if you'd like to talk sound and music. Great work on this game, guys!

Thank you for your review! Curving the difficulty a bit, or just outright reducing it is certainly something we've discussed doing post-jam.  I'll certainly try to cast a wider net for playtesting in our next  jam. Outside advice like that is invaluable.

Ooh, the art! I really like how easy it is to figure out how to just jump right in to the game. The controls are smooth and simple to grasp, and I appreciate that. I was sort of expecting each run to be different with what patterns you needed to be dodging, so I was a little surprised when they weren't. I didn't mind the lack of music, and it did add some intrigue, almost like the character could hear nothing but the forest and the wind. Perhaps just a few tiny audio queues here and there would have spiced it up, though.

Overall, I'm quite curious to see where you go with making a story for it. I think it has a lot of promise.

Like was previously mentioned, the PS1-style aesthetic was indeed quite neat to see again. The hardest part for me I think was wanting more visual feedback of my actions accomplishing something. It was quite hard to tell what I was doing. I think just making that change alone would vastly alleviate confusion.

This was a really neat submission! I very much enjoyed the music, and the art is very cool as well. The premise is cool, and I think it could turn into a neat game long term. The controls were on the rougher side, and it wasn't apparent what exactly the enemies did other than see you. I inadvertently caused the game to bug out in the tower by getting caught. I would love to see this polished up and made in to something bigger!

The voiceover was a nice touch! The game is definitely on the more difficult side. I saw in one of your gifs that is looks like you can hold on to the grapple rather than click like a maniac, so I tried that too. I really like the premise and think it could be refined.

This was clever! It was a fun take on inventory management, and the art was very classic and charming.
