Hey thanks for the offer, I may do that!

I love the playful back and forth of the “question/response” melody lines throughout the piece, with the question and response always being issued on different instruments. This holds interest well and the catchy hooks of the theremin finish the job. I really enjoyed this!

Thank you for the generous critique despite not being a fan of metal. The whispers are from the Hellen VST from Silence And Other Sounds.

Eclectic and unsettling. This piece makes me uncomfortable in a good way.

A very atmospheric piece that transitions between whimsical, eerie, and doom-laden seamlessly. The compositional skill here is evident. Excellence!

Excellent composition! I love the retro synth sounds and the melodies are captivating.

Thank you for your encouraging words. This was fun to compose in Phrygian and work in the guitar.

I love the glassy plucks of the opening into the 3/4 funeral march-like main section. The accompanying instrumentation and choir chants are well placed. I think this could be a solid foundation for a larger piece.

Thank you so much for your review. As for the whispering, I had to fit the Hellen VST in the piece somewhere. It actually features twice.

Thank you very much for your remarks! I never thought of it as “pizza pie-esque”, but like the comparison. And it makes me hungry. :D

I love the second section of stabs along with the frantic violin, this really works well together and transitions nicely into the warbling ghost synth afterward. After three listens, this remains my favorite part. Nevertheless, the entire piece is solid, spooky, and works great for a boss fight.

Thank you very much for bringing that oversight to my attention. It is now corrected.

Also, sincere thanks for your compliments of the track. It means a lot!

I love the retro synths used in this. No doubt I will be humming this melody while passing out candy this evening. Love it!

Thank you very much for the kind words.

Nice, complimentary arrangement. Well done!

Thank you very much for the comment and your kind words.

I really enjoy the sound for the melody during the initial section. I keep wanting to use the word “onomatopoeia” to describe it, but this is not correct. Nevertheless, it makes me think of that connection. In this case, the sound leads me to visualize a stretchy, bouncing ghost boss in a “cozy” horror game. Very cool and I find myself continuing to hear it in my mind afterward.

The excerpt above is part of a slightly larger piece totaling 1,590 words written this weekend using Campfire Write. If you enjoy ghostly stories and you are interested in reading this in context with the encapsulating work, you can find the story here on Inkitt.

I think you already found me on Discord. I will message you there. :)

Unity dev 10+ years. Musician/composer most of my life. Seeking someone to do simple, preferably low-resolution artwork and sprites with a couple frames of animation for a 2.5D game.

Hello. :) What tools do you use to create your art? I am also new to game jams, but I have been using the Unity engine for I think nearly fifteen years now.

You are welcome to message on discord: thelurkingdev

Request sent.

I am also a Unity developer. Have you used Unity Version Control (Plastic SCM) before? What about Blender and/or Aseprite?

Fixed. Thank you.

I have a premise for the narrative aspect of the game that will involve both spoken and written assets. I am currently considering scope, both of which will likely scale depending upon the size and skillsets of the team.

As for me, I have used Unity since version 5 and I have been coding in C# for over ten years. I also compose and record music using Cubase Pro and I am a self-published author. If you would like more details, you can check my website.

Hello, Rae, I am Darren. After hearing some of your submissions, I am interested in working with you. You can message me on Twitter for details.

Thank you for the background, good luck with the game. Let me know if you would be interested to work with a coder in Unity at some point.

I am also unable to load anything into the trial version unless I am missing something. I tried dragging and dropping sprites at various locations in the UI, but this did not work. All of the top menus are disabled aside from the “Help” menu, so that was not very helpful (terrible joke, I know).

I am able to add bones as children of other bones. I can also set each bone to be an IK bone. However, I see no evidence that the IK is working. If I grab the end of the bottommost child bone and move it, I would expect it to move all of the parent bones above it that have been flagged as IK bones. This is not happening and only the bottom bone is moving.

I am very interested in this software and more than willing to purchase it, but I would at least like to be able to import images, skin them and animate them with the bones, and see the IK working. I am not concerned about saving or even loading a project with the demo, but I would prefer the demo allow me the above functionality prior to purchasing.

Looks very cool though and I am definitely following. Good luck with this!

Or is this game as-is?

I love how you use light in your work and I also like the colors you chose and the overall aesthetic. These assets would be ideal for a horror game, so I would really like to see more assets that continue down this path. So maybe some ghostly beings, misshapen, possessed characters, subterranean ghouls, general dark figures, etc. Additionally, pickups that could be used to piece together a mystery would be good. Some ideas might be handwritten notes, belongings of a missing person, blood-stained clothing, esoteric books, etc.

Lastly, if you start venturing into any top-down assets that could be used in a horror rpg, please do let me know as I would likely be willing to commission this work.

Very nice, thank you!

Donated - thank you! :)

Want...

I would like to see the installer be compatible with the itch application.

On a side note, the audacity of people who expect technical content for free despite creators working on it for years is deplorable. You want games of this magnitude for free? Then make them yourselves.

Looking forward to paying for and playing the final game(s).
