Beautiful game, a couple of comments:
- Something needs to be done with the mouse control, it twitches
- Why can’t you shoot in the direction you’re looking? The system is always trying to turn in some strange direction
Damn, cool project! One of those that is high quality and well executed, although for some reason it takes a long time... Reminded me a lot of Celeste and I Wanna Be The Guy. And this is the game where all the mistakes are yours
I can suggest that in the future we think about the mechanics of additional jerks and some actions. And levels, more levels.
Thank you very much for your comment! Yes, adding multiplayer to a game like this would be fun. In the foreseeable future, I want to implement a project that will be as dynamic as Hotline Miami, but at the same time would allow you to fight in PvP just as quickly as in Rocket League Sideswipes.
In short, working with multiplayer will be a very exciting challenge, definitely in the future.
If it’s interesting, I would suggest the following algorithm: first draw the bullet’s flight curve (with random bends), and then, relative to it, step back on the sides by 50-100 px and draw up a path map, as they did in Worms, with its own curvatures. Well, the number of bounces = the number of kinks along the bullet’s path.
A potentially useful algorithm for your future work
Fast, bold, exciting. Once, I saw a similar concept at another jam, and as always, reacting to the situation at speed is just like Doom. This project: https://cosmocorner.itch.io/momentum-mori, maybe will be interesting.
I... didn't understand. We're playing against... Dust bunnies? The idea is clear, award points for any collision of balls other than a wall, but it seems like some kind of challenge is missing
The concept is cool, I would like to develop it, I would suggest the author to try to promote the idea at future jams
