Hey Enweave! Thanks for playing our game! Glad you liked our art and really bad puns :p

Also thanks for the feedback. After the game jam voting is over, we will push a big update that will fix multiple issues in the game, including the quest pickedup and quest delivered feedback.

Thanks for taking the time to comment on our game: it means a lot to us!

Got goosebumps at the end of this game. Beautiful atmosphere. Well done on the music and art!

It really reminded me of To the moon and Dear Esther. Very impressive given the limited time!

Also: great job on your game design document! Very thorough!

Really nice that you managed to create a tower defense game in the limited time we had. You even managed to have a working skill tree with an unlockable new tower and new campfire. I only couldnt figure out how to place the blue campfire.

I love the sinister feel you get when you click "next wave" and everything goes dark (except for your campfires). Cool game!

Nice idea of the game. I unfortunatly was not able to drop the boxes, so I could not get past the first level. I read the game design document and your idea looks really promising. The implementation also seems to be mostly there. And the music is really great! Great job!

So nice to hear that from you! I really loved your game! We really wanted to go for a relaxing, chill game, and I'm glad that worked out! Thank you for playing <3

Holy moly, you made a RTS! Really impressive given the limited amount of time! First time I played, I failed terribly. But second time I knew what to do:

  1. max out worker production
  2. make sure to get magma early so I can build a tower to defend against the first wave
  3. Keep producing workers while keeping in mind the worker limit (building houses in time)
  4. Make sure to have enough towers to defend against the waves.
  5. Retreat workers at the 5 minute marks when the shadows attack: this way not all my workers get slaughtered.
  6. As soon as I have enough magma, build the alchemy lab
  7. afterwards fully focus on crystals, keep maxing out workers and keep making those crystals
  8. convert convert convert
  9. PORTAL TO THE MOON!!

Really fun game! Great music, great gameplay. I really enjoyed myself! Thanks for creating this!

The game design document is not set to public: we cannot view the document. Do make sure you only share the 'read rights' and not also edit rights ;)

WOW! This is such a freaking clever idea! At first I was thinking the game was really badly implemented.. got stuck in random areas. Some places I could jump full height, some i couldn't... And then I realized...

You freaking move both the character itself and its shadow at the same time. That is such a clever idea! And also really well executed.

And then to read here that this is your first game project ever!? SUPER GOOD JOB!

You all should be proud!

And in a seriousness: great game!

I love the mixing of enemy bodies to get special effects. Every time I encountered a new ememy, I was wondering which new ability I could unlock. Great stuff!

Also... the music... what a banger!

Great submission!!

Game 10/10.. killed 2 lamas in the first level over and over again, brewing enough jump potions until I could jump my way out of the first level, softlocking myself <3

Very good atmosphere indeed. I did die a lot and too unexpectly. It was not really clear often why I died. Good sound design and atmosphere building!

Great art and fun to play. I did not manage to get passed the moving objects upstairs, but I see this game being worked out to a nice gem <3

I love roguelikes. This was fun to play! And amazing main character design.

Thats so cool! We actually had a similar idea when we first started brainstorming about a possible game that fit the theme: like a alternative shadow realm. Amazing to see it worked out into an actual game!

Nice puzzle game. I love the mechanic of the split. Only risk would be is that quickly it could become too complex, so in a final game I would only slowly build up the complexity with the split.

Really nice game! Definitely very promising. I love the polish and the helpful, well-done tutorial.
I was kinda sad when the level was over: kinda wanted to keep playing ;)

Great game and nice polish. I loved the water+fire level in which you are told by the game that you are a fool :P

Small game, but controls and animations feel really smooth! Great job!

I love the atmosphere of the game, It felt a bit like 'dear esther': mysterious, calming, intreaging. This has a lot of potential <3

This is a really epic game! Really clever idea with the actual moving shadows! Very cute art style!

I'm a bit jalous of this game <3

nice soundtrack!

ah thats very true, then its not really a problem.

yea that makes sense. We did a similar thing in our submission: we had 'Shadow Steering' which was just switching up your left and right controls ;)

Nice to see the change tho!

awesome! Great to see such a quick change! Keep up the good work!

nice and fun game! Bit difficult to get how different reagents affected the towers. Besides that really impressing to have a nice tower defense game within the time limits! Great job!

Nice concept! Great to have a full 3d game! Impressive! And love the reality bending concept!

Very clever idea!

Super cute running animation! Love the mechanic aswell! Great job!!

Very creative!

THE ART IS AMAZING!

This game is so clever and cute! Love it!!!

Cute game! Just a bit difficult to get the light mechanic.

Very amazing game! Super cute artstyle, great potion crafting animation and just super wholesome!

Great game! Love the song, idea and art! Only improvement is to disallow spamming all buttons to cheese the game.

Beautiful art and love the idea of using alchemy to defeat the monsters you encounter.

WHY IS THE BLOB SO CUTE?!!!

Nice idea for a game. I love how you have to look at how the shadows move (or see they arent there at all) to determine which potion to craft.

I can see this being worked out to many different shadows, victims in different shapes and also different lighting effects (maybe lightning in the room that messes with the shadow?)

Great work, especially given its your first gamejam and first time using this game engine! Awesome stuff!

Small suggested improvement: I would rephrase the tutorial such that the potions REVEAL the rows and column, rather than "remove the shadows". I first thought the potions would kill the ghosts.

Besides that great game and nice you build a mobile game. Great name of the game as well!

Also the link you shared is restricted (need to ask for permission): you might wanna upload a pdf or make the link public (make sure its only read access).

Great game! Sucks you forgot about the time and didn't make the deadline. Glad you did decide to upload your game and promote it in the way you did! Happy I found it.

We had a similar thing in which we uploaded the GDD as a PDF while it should be a Google Docs file.

As feedback for your game: great game! I love how you did the lighting effect: it looks really professional.

Only two improvement I have is:

1. Reduce the volume of the sound effects (it scared me the first time)

2. Make your character not take damage while hiding (eyes closed) in the dark. Now the hiding mechanic felt a bit underwhelming as I still got damaged, so jumping away was often the easiest option.

Besides those points, a really great game! Thanks again for uploading it!
