👉Short game, but it's all we need to buy your future asset pack. Little and quick, love it. No bugs, simple. Maybe a little tutorial could be good, but in 2 or 3 games, with a little practice, it works. The difficulty is good, and the rhythm is great too. Cool animations and sprites . I love it 👍
👉Feel free to check out my game and rate it👍
👉Hey, the game feels really cool ! The movement of the blue spirit is smooth, and I love it. The different animations are great, and the music is cool and dynamic. Maybe the difficulty is a little too high at the start of the level. The controls are not intuitive, but since there's a tutorial, it's usually fine. For your tutorial, it might be good to have a dynamic tutorial with a narrator teaching you how to move, attack, etc. It could be a bit more complex to implement, but the result could be really nice. I also like the enemies' animations and sound effects.
👉The different texts could be more colorful, though. The menu feels a bit too gray, and I found a bug (as you can see in the screenshot). The enemy just doesn't want to die, so I had to restart the game, but it’s not a big deal. To finish, the theme, it could be fun it at a moment like the ennemies bug or something big happen because yeay it don't really fit with the theme.
Feel free to check my game and rate it 👍
First, thank you for playing my game. Regarding the buttons, I had fixed the issue, but it caused many other bugs. Since I didn’t have time to fix them, I left it as is, but I agree, it feels a bit cheap. As for the controls, I wanted to create a mechanic for each of the rooms and link it to the fact that the player, just like the painter, loses the ability to move. However, I couldn’t come up with another movement idea for the third room, so I ended up sticking with the normal movement controls and just inverted the player's sprite. I admit, I could have better utilized this mechanic. As for the white square in the third stage, personally, I don’t see it, but I think it might be related to the painting that appears. You know, in the other levels, there's always a painting you created, and for the third room, I also wanted to implement it, but in the end, I thought it didn’t fit. Maybe I forgot to completely deactivate it, and that’s why it showed up on your end 😰. And thank you for your review 👍.
Yeah, you're right, the kid is a little too mature. It's hard to make a child say something deep and intriguing while sounding like a child at the same time. As for the creature, a little backstory: the painter William Utermohlen, the main character of the story, painted a picture you can see below. I tried to show that as the painter loses his memories and his way of seeing things, he sees his grandson in clown clothes, to reference the painting. Also, we could say he confuses it with his grandson, who could be dressed as a clown for his birthday, for example. But it's true, without the context, it’s a bit strange.
👉 Hey, I played your game and what a surprise, it’s really good! The animations are very cool, and the concept fits perfectly with the theme. Those black shadows, I love them! The difficulty is great – not too hard and not too easy, except for the final level. I just don’t know how to pass it. I think it’s just more fitting with the theme; it feels like a bug in the game, but I want my ending, dude! I passed 19 levels, and then this 😭
The sound design is also very good. Man, what can I say? Your game is perfect, no bugs, nothing just a great game.
👉 Maybe the game needs a story, but who cares about a story, for real? And if you want to play a game that’s not perfect like yours and has a story, come rate my game 👍
Review :
👉 Like GA02 said, really good forest ! Maybe something to reduce the player's vision could be cool, because sometimes this reduction appears and sometimes it doesn’t. Love the subtitles, really good job on that.
👉 Maybe a couple of things to fix: the game is lagging for me, maybe a quick quality settings system would help (I think the shaders are the most difficult to load). Also, there’s too much grain on the screen; it’s a bit too much and when you grab the flashlight, the flashlight isn't moving with your character, i thinks it's normal and more simple to create, but i say it anyway.
👉 Conclusion: very cool game for a one-week project, I enjoyed playing it,thanks to all the team behind also come rate my game, way more short than your 👍
👉Hey, i tested your game and very cool, i love the style, you take inspiration from the celest game i think. Anyway, good sound effect even if the dash sound is horrible dude, also i love the police of the game i thinks it's call "just bubble" and i like it very much, but dash system is a little bit strange but it work well. Some bugs with the main character who dispawn and you have just the particule syteme who stay, maybe this can be fix.
👉I think i do like 00.19.47 but i didn't take a screenshoot, i think 15s is possible or maybe more if i practice, it's actually a good game GG.👍
Feel free to rate my game.
👉Short game, love the music, the art and sound effect arent a little bit sus but i have a question how can you die in this game ?
👉Also, you can add a loop at the game because i saw that you can buy thing with your game but there are just fue different upgrade.
Good moment playing, good game 👍
I love the end, nice voice acting ❤️
Man, this game is incredible. The animation, the art, the atmosphere, the story, dude, I love it. The quick changes in rhythm, the settings, the music that is sometimes soft and at other times stressful, the sound effects...
👉You managed to create a game that tells a story, and that's impressive. Having participated in this jam myself, I also tried, and unfortunately, it turned out a lot less well than your game. Honestly, the rhythms of the game are so cool, we’re always in action, and you’re talking about important topics at the same time. For that, congratulations, sincerely.
👉I made a game about Alzheimer’s disease and its effects from my perspective (without pretending to truly understand the suffering it causes), and that’s why your game struck me. You’ve done an excellent job conveying the emotions you wanted to share, not through text, but through the effects, the music... it’s something I feel I haven’t managed to do.
