this is quite possibly the greatest story told in a video game
For real though, I think this game has good potential. It could use a little work in the ways of visual polish, sound effects, and variety, but the core gameplay loop is pretty fun. I also appreciate how meme-y it is. Overall, nice job :]
I got to level 15! Bloody mary was quite useful :)
Very simple but fun game. I think it could of had a bit more in the way of graphical polish, and that the mechanic where your inputs had to be adjacent could have been explained better. Regardless, I had a blast playing it. I honestly really enjoy number games like this. Well done!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed. I used Pygbag to compile the game to web assembly. There was not a major performance hit as far as I can tell, but getting the code to be compatible with Pygbag did take a tiny bit of rewriting, and getting the audio to fully work was a bit of a pain (even in the current web version the sound is a bit choppy).
Very funny concept and I enjoy how its executed, measuring things as a gameplay mechanic is pretty unique and novel. Also, all the models and general aesthetics of the game are great! Making a 3D game during the timeframe is commendable on its own, but learning modeling and making your first 3D game is even more impressive! Nice job! My only critique would be that the points are a bit meaningless, it would have been neat if there was some sort of overall ranking that factored in your combined score and time, or some in-game way to keep track of high scores. Nonetheless, very fun game! :)
Nice idea, the game is very fun and well polished! Honestly with the reversed concept and showing your next tiles/moves, I found it more fun than I find regular 2048 haha. The addition of levels is also pretty cool given the limited time. My only complaints would be the lack of sound effects for some actions, like tile placing, moving, ect. and the lack of a lose state/screen. Otherwise this game is very well made, great job!
Clever premise and a very fun game! I like how the all the UI is a part of the game world and how the music is synced to the timer. My only criticism would be that the effects of some of the non-number buttons aren't very obvious at first, even after you hit them. Otherwise, I found this game very enjoyable and replayed it a few times :)
Nice game! The art and color pallet are nice, and while the game is very simple, it's also quite chaotic and fun! My only criticisms would be that I wish there was more audio/visual feedback for when the controls are reversed, and that the game overall is a bit short. Still, good job! Especially for your first game! :)
IMO this game should be getting more attention in the jam. This game's concept and puzzle design is genius, and all the gimmicks are done really well! When possession gets introduced, I though it was pretty neat, then the pink fuzz gets added, which I though had great puzzle potential, but when it's shown that you can switch ANYTHING with anything else, not just the player, I was really blown away! My few criticisms would be that 1. The platformer and box physics feel a bit stiff and sometimes hard to control, and 2. The mouse cursor and fuzz tutorials took me a minute to get. This one is a minor complaint: In general, I really loved how you did the tutorials, but the mouse dragging one initially read as some sort of arrow to me for a bit. The fuzz one isn't bad but the mechanic was a bit unclear at first until I got it, I think it might be introduced too soon after the possession mechanic (I also think more sound and visual cues might help people understand what's going on better, but I understand that's probably a time constraint thing more than an oversight). All in all, I think this game's mechanics are really great and it could do really great expanded upon if you have the desire to!
BTW, at the time of writing I got to the first level with the fuzzy stone block, got the player up with that stone block but don't see what to do next. I'm going to keep playing later though :)
Thanks for the feedback! Struggle was something I would definitely have implemented better in hindsight, it was a quick fix to solve running out of moves but I should have spent the extra time making it work more like how it does in Pokémon (only used if you have no other options). Either way, I'm glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the comment!
Quite challenging but very fun game! I like how the theme is used by swapping in-game. The graphics are simple but well-made, making the aesthetic overall look quite clean. My main criticism would just be how short the level is. But all in all this is a very fun game and I could totally see it being expanded upon!
