Unfortunately I missed the rating period for your game, but I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed it! I really liked how floaty the movement / jumping was and I liked how you could basically freeze in mid air during a jump-- that's not something you see too often. Only things that stuck out to me that could be improved is the dash is a bit too fast / made me feel like I lost control and also it'd be great to see some particle effects or something when you hit an enemy. Other than those small things I had a really great time with your game! Also I really really love the way you did the background layers, it made the game feel very dynamic and alive.

thank you so much, I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed the game! I really like the idea of a difficulty system like that because I am somewhat attached to the game being difficult, and I think some players will really enjoy overcoming that challenge, but many others can’t get past the first few rooms and I’d like them to experience more of the game. So I think the best balance is a difficulty setting like you mentioned. Thank you again!
Anything having to do with penguins means I'm INVESTED! But seriously, your game is fantastic! It controls so nicely and is very charming as well. I really appreciate how smooth the movement and especially the jumping is. Great concept for a game-- penguins are really living every day like it's a last stand lol. Nice job :)
This game is honestly super impressive! The fact you have a level select and several characters as well as a flag customizer is amazing! Also the game feels great to play! I would like to see a little more visual feedback when hitting an enemy-- like maybe particles or a flashing sprite when they get hit. Great job on your game!
This game is my JAM! I love anything first person medieval combat focused, and I had a lot of fun with this. Also it is such a unique concept! I would love to see this project developed a bit more. If I may make some suggestions, I would love to see the controls tightened a tad bit and also (just a small thing), the sound effect you used to indicate that you hit an enemy is a sound I associated with a blocked attack, so at first I was confused if my attacks were going through or not. I could see this game being a super fast paced Quake-esque game but with swords. Definitely one of my favorite games from this jam. Nice job!
I had such a great time with your game! I love the super retro / classic dungeon explorer element to it. Also, it seems that many elements of your game are randomly generated, which is so cool! The combat kind of had a text-RPG style to it, which fits perfectly with the game you made. I think it would be awesome to continue developing this game. Maybe adding an interactive element to combat would be fun, like if you can choose to attack or run or block-- something like that might be even more fun! Great job on your game, I really enjoyed it : )
I could tell right away from the screenshots I was gonna love this one. You came up with a lot of gameplay features for a game jam, and the game feels really nice to play! I particularly love the platforming and how good the movement feels. I would love to see this project further fleshed out with sound design, particle effects, and more! I could definitely see myself getting super into this game and playing this as my comfort or relaxing game. Great job!
