Love this! Incedible acheivement in a jam - the art style and audio are all great, and then its the concept and the gameplay that seals it for me. The gameplay gives the sense that I can master the umbrella, but not super easily, which is exactly what I want from a casual game like this. Genius use of the crank to integrate into the gameplay too. I either don't have the skill or haven't had the time to get the 'good' ending yet - but I'm going to keep trying. Brilliant job!
I found this so much more satisfying than I should have!
The discovery element to this is really nice, and the comment on the final doc definitely made me want to replay. I really feel like there is actually a big replayable game in this with levels where working out which is the 'right' document to leave till last becomes increasignly harder. There's an ending for every shred choice, but only one 'good' ending for each level.
I really like the way the shredding emchanic was implemented, worked great - I didn't find the cursor slow like others have mentioned, but maybe this just means I am a bit slow..
Totally agree with an earlier comment about an endless/zen mode where I can just shred for fun.
A full version fo this with levelling and an endless shred mode is totally something I would pay for. Nice job!!
I enjoyed this, I'm a fan of memory games and this one was very nicely implemented. I like the visual style and the kind of zen feeling to the background. It would have been nice to see a twist that made it 'Playdate' - even scrolling through tiles with the crank would be a nice option and could actually enable quicker runs.
I'd also like a little effect, maybe particle or something, every time I get a match right - I guess I need that regular validation! If this were developed further it'd also be nice to see levelling, like may the addition of a timer so that your scores are affected by speed and a level can be failed if max time is reached. Combine that with the really nice look and feel of this as it is and I'd definitely be playing this regularly on train rides and stuff.
I had to edit the PDXinfo file to get this to load, but its a jam, these things happen and its an easy solve.
This is one of those games that I know could have me coming back for more and more. The way the voices are implemented and the visuals make it really entertaining and I can totally see with some levelling and achievement feedback that this could be a super addictive little game. Really enjoyed. It's nice to see a kind of brain training game on here too - reminded me of time spent with the Wii.
Super fun casual game with a surprising depth when you start to launch multiple rockets and swap between which you control. Really smooth transitions and controls. Felt good to play and is a lot of fun. I can totally see myself playing this quite often as a casual game, especially with a bit of sound and levelling built in.
This is a wonderful game and an incredible achievement in pulp. I was engrossed from start to finish(es). The narrative, pacing, dialogue, visuals - all spot on. The fragments of story generate a powerful atmosphere as they are revealed and really got me thinking. This is a game I'll definitely recommend and revisit.
Really fun, polished, game. Would love to see this come to catalogue with leaderboards and some kind of 'endless' mode.
Currently once you're maxed out on upgrades the 10 mins is the limiting factor, it'd be great to be able to allocate resources/cores to recharge battery, balance with other upgrades and see how far you can go.
I *really* enjoyed this. I've only had time for one playthrough so far, so only 1 possible ending found, but I am determined that I will make time to find them all!
This game manages to pack a lot in, including clever use of the crank and some great cutscenes. The fact that its all done in pulp is super impressive.
