Yes! So satisfying 🤓
Good fit with the theme and use of the crank. I hadn’t realized there’s a potential order to the notes before reading the other comments.
I found this so much more satisfying than I should have!
The discovery element to this is really nice, and the comment on the final doc definitely made me want to replay. I really feel like there is actually a big replayable game in this with levels where working out which is the 'right' document to leave till last becomes increasignly harder. There's an ending for every shred choice, but only one 'good' ending for each level.
I really like the way the shredding emchanic was implemented, worked great - I didn't find the cursor slow like others have mentioned, but maybe this just means I am a bit slow..
Totally agree with an earlier comment about an endless/zen mode where I can just shred for fun.
A full version fo this with levelling and an endless shred mode is totally something I would pay for. Nice job!!
Fun concept! I agree the cursor did feel a little slow for my liking, and I was expecting I would be quizzed in some way about the documents I was shredding. However, I was pleasantly surprised it gave me dialogue about the last document at the end which made me want to see what other pieces of dialogue I could get. Nicely done!
Idk why but seeing the mouse cursor on the PD screen made a lot of sense to me! Was fun to shred, the effects and sounds worked really well! Glad none of those seemed important 🤔
you know me, i love accidentally shredding unpaid important tax documents. i dig the "process of elimination" concept on display here, trying to find the most important thing to Not shred amongst all the mess. i will say i wish the cursor was just a tooouch faster? the "auto crank" feature is also a nice touch but i honestly want a chill "crank Only" endless mode, for the lulz 😆
Very fun to play! I liked the cute and ironic humour, but I spent some time worrying if I needed to remember the contents of each of the notes. (Probably was tested too hard by @toad).
It's a shame there's no timer or any game element, but the overall chillness of the game and the mixed cursor/crank mechanic was fun to use. Made me want to plug in a USB mouse to go faster.
Fun!
If you do read the notes, you can organize them before shredding and deduce which of the notes you don’t need. It was going to be a bigger part of the game originally where there would be only one correct note and you’d have to find it to move to the next pile, but I didn’t end up having enough time to write enough notes for that to be more fun.
Ahh, that's interesting. I'll have to give it another go and see whether the gameplay element makes more sense to me ;)
Funny idea, love the shredding sound :D
Thanks! 😁
Really enjoyed the act of shredding some digital documents more than I expected. I liked the little paper shreds and sound effects. Being able to turn on auto-shred, somehow made the shredding even better.
Yeah after a little bit of testing in the simulator manually I turned up the auto cranking slider to save me some effort and realized that an auto shred feature was a must 😂
I enjoyed the notes. Reminds me a bit of a fidget toy
That’s what my Playdate games tend to be 😂
