Great concept improved by an exceptional presentation! The levels are well thought out, the progression is very smooth and the mechanic where you can pick colors from the floor is just chef kiss!

Agree with the guy on everything! Super fun game but a shame that I couldn't get to the dice ahah

If I can give 1 suggestion, maybe it should be easier to understand when the meteor falls. It seemed very random and it made it a matter of luck if you could get past it or not. Otherwise, really cool game

Really nice concept and the game is fun although super difficult!

It was a bit hard to understand how the enemies moved (they seemed to move way more than the dice on their head would suggest) and seemed to be a bit bugged, but really nice job on this!

21 on level 10 is impressive! Never managed to get it that low! Shame you couldn't find the secret level but thank you a lot for playing it to the end :) (the feedback is also very appreciated!!)

The most polished dice throwing experience I have ever had

Not really, it achieved what it tried to do really well!

Nice work on completing the game while working alone! It was fun to go around as a dice to catch some cards!

I think with more time it would have been nice to work on a better player controller and presentation

Didn't try the arrow keys, only realised that was an alternative when I came to the comment section.

Anyway, really fun game! music was chill, animations were fun and was really polished for the 48 hours allotted time!

The sensitivity for the camera was a bit too high on itch.io, otherwise really a nice idea and would love to see a more polished version of this game!

I loved the part where it said "It's rolling time"

Really fun game, and the presentation was super cute!

As mentioned already by the others, the only real problem was the scroll bar not working properly, otherwise really nice game, congrats!

I have to say that I didn't feel the theme of the "roll of the dice" too clearly compared to other games though

Hey there!

The game seemed to be a bit buggy and there was definitely some lack of feedback whenever something happened to the player (got hit, power ups)

With some more polish it could have been a fun survival! What were the dice doing in these rituals by the way? Did their number influence the number of skeletons?

Thank you a lot for your feedback and for playing the game! Yes we got quite a few complaints about the UI being unclear ahah

So, basically, it is an orthogonal representation of the die:

The face in the center is the one on top, the ones on each of its sides are the adjacent faces, the one on the bottom is on the other side of the die.

This means that when you move up, for example, the face that was previously "down" compared to the central one would roll in its place.

It's really unintuitive as it is, we would have liked to have more time to experiment with other UIs or to add animations

It was hidden in one of the levels, it's a tricky of to find xD

I'll definitely check your game in a bit! Taking a break now ahah

Thank you for your feedback! Will definitely take note of it, there were many things presentation wise that we were not fully satisfied with.

Did you work on a game yourself?

Very nice game! Making it available on the web was a smart move!

It's a bit hard to understand what exactly the power ups are doing, also lack of audio cues is a bit of a shame

Being a one-man effort though is impressive!

This was a really well done game!
Concept, Art, Animations and Gameplay are all really smooth and it's incredible you managed to do this much in 48 hours

Did you find the secret room?

Hey there! Thanks for the comment!

We really wanted to put some animation for the rolling of the dice, but we were a really small team of mostly beginners, so we didn't make it for the release D:

The music credit has to go to the artists that composed it :D

Hello there, was looking for a post like this! (Couldn't wait for the discord server to open lol)

I work as a software engineer, my field is one of the furthest you can find from gaming but I found that my programming skills are easily transferable to game related projects. From time to time I love to tinker with Unity, and my passion for game development brought me to take part in the Global Game Jam 2022 held this January! You can find the end result on my profile, it was a barely playable game but had tons of fun with the people in my team!

I'm looking for a team that aims to have fun while creating games, ideally another experienced game developer would be there so that I can learn something from his coding!

Together with me I bring my brother, he's studying to become a programmer as well so he can help with small tasks, bug fixes, QA and maybe try to implement some cool feature to our game. I'm sure he'll be able to find his space in the team and be an added value.
