Luckily you don't need to see the movie to play the game they are quite different. I just loved the movie when I was a kid and Fish Fest was an excuse to make a fan game. LOL I do need to address certain issues with the story amongst other issues, but I was just trying to get this out in time. Don't ever put up with relationship abuse no matter if you are a male or female lol (unless you're into that sort of thing?). also thanks for the Snake idea.
Thank you again for playing my game and posting it, if some people can't download it they can at least watch it now.
ok thank you for letting me know it worked and the constructive criticism. I see this game as more of a rough draft(like every game I've made) as far as the movement with the character the step above that is just too quick and doesn't look right... Trust me I would like him to move faster. As far as him walking around idk I want to do more with it but I'm only one pretty inexperienced individual and I only had a couple days to do it and I'm kinda trying to get rid of a migraine I got because of the tunnel vision i got working on it. But I see your point and agree. Thank you!
Thank you for letting me know. That bums me out, but I should try to learn how to use another engine anyway. Can you or anyone else point me in the right direction? I have tried to learn other engines before (Godot being one of them) and have difficulty teaching myself how to use them- partly due to the fact I don't always have a lot of time. Trying to learn via YouTube is like looking for a recipe online- I want simple instructions and no corky personalities.

Finally was able to submit my game... Posted it last night but just got the link this A.M. to submit it.
So... I roamed around for a bit to find the key and haven't found anything. So... am I man made in the image of lighthouse?
From what I see in the screenshots, because I couldn't get farther then a good solid roaming about- It is a good-looking game in its simplicity. keep it up. I would either limit how much extra map there is or if the vast land is necessary for a portion of the game, I'd block off a good bit of the map until the key is found.
Good luck!
So I hate to be this person...I am going to have to agree with the people, The pixels are a lot. Don't get me wrong I like the look you were going for... but it gave me a headache and made me feel nauseous. a game like this would give someone like my dad a seizure (he had to stop playing games like Turok because it messed him up) I would definitely give a seizure warning for now. but not all hope is lost. if you can fix that effect I will gladly play through the game if you can just keep mme posted. I can't give you much advice on how to fix it lol, but don't change it too much.
I have very limited knowledge when it comes to this kind of thing. I almost use the program like a rough draft due to having no programming knowledge, which is something I intend to acquire over time. I definitely didn't take the menu into consideration at all. It was more so just supposed to be an interactive story. would like to have more choices... like not taking the key. or avoiding butch at the pool table.
I won't talk about the game mechanics because this is another game that ran slow for me. But I will say I think you should focus on your aesthetics. Like changing the menu button colors from grey to a black with neon green font (not exactly that but an example of what I mean) and futuristic sound effects upon pressing them. Do you plan on keeping the Doomlike creatures 2Dsprites? If so, I suggest trying to crisp it up somehow. also, if you are going for a more horror like atmosphere, I'd darken up the environment and warp the music to sound more sinister while maintaining that sci-fi vibe. I like how the environment looks and the music choice from purely a Sci-Fi perspective and if that is more your angle keep it that way- it's your game after all. but I was unable to see most of the game due to it running slowly which probably has more to do with my computer so sorry I couldn't be more helpful in that area. Keep going with it though good luck!
