Here is a video posted by Killer Snoofie  if anyone is having a hard time getting it to work and wants to see it

I plan on using MZ at some point

Ha ha, yeah, I love how easy it is to use but unfortunately not so easy to access.  Someone posted a video of it on my page, so if you want to see it it's there. thanks for keeping me posted on my failures.

Luckily you don't need to see the movie to play the game they are quite different. I just loved the movie when I was a kid and Fish Fest was an excuse to make a fan game. LOL I do need to address certain issues with the story amongst other issues, but I was just trying to get this out in time. Don't ever put up with relationship abuse no matter if you are a male or female lol (unless you're into that sort of thing?). also thanks for the Snake idea.

Thank you again for playing my game and posting it, if some people can't download it they can at least watch it now.

yeah I want the lastest version but my budget is too tight right now. I will eventually get to it.

ok thank you for letting me know it worked and the constructive criticism. I see this game as more of a rough draft(like every game I've made)  as far as the movement with the character the step above that is just too quick and doesn't look right... Trust me I would like him to move faster. As far as him walking around idk I want to do more with it but I'm only  one pretty inexperienced individual and I only had a couple days to do it and I'm kinda trying to get rid of a migraine I got  because of the tunnel vision i got working on it. But I see your point and agree. Thank you!

Thank you for letting me know.  That bums me out, but I should try to learn how to use another engine anyway. Can you or anyone else point me in the right direction? I have tried to learn other engines before (Godot being one of them) and have difficulty teaching myself how to use them- partly due to the fact I don't always have a lot of time. Trying to learn via YouTube is like looking for a recipe online- I want simple instructions and no corky personalities.

Nooo! :(

it is an old program it's all I know how to use for now unfortunately. :( my buddy played it last night with no issues but he has that installed.

RTP installation file before you run the game.

Alternatively, you can find the files online and then run the game. RPG Maker VX is a fairly old program and isn't so easy to distribute anymore,

Finally was able to submit my game... Posted it last night but just got the link this A.M. to submit it.

I sent you my game via The E-mail

Could I make a Fan Game based on a movie as long as the main character is a fish?

I  definitely appreciate that reaction. Thank you for playing 😁

Thank you! 😬 Thanks for playing and posting!

Lol I respect the truth in your Bio. Maybe one day we could make a crappy game together

Good to know, keep me posted.

So... I roamed around for a bit to find the key and haven't found anything. So... am I man made in the image of lighthouse?

From what I see in the screenshots, because I couldn't get farther then a good solid roaming about- It is a good-looking game in its simplicity. keep it up. I would either limit how much extra map there is or if the vast land is necessary for a portion of the game, I'd block off a good bit of the map until the key is found.

Good luck!

ah I see,, being real... real talk... I love my computer, but it is just a humble little guy, hasn't been able to handle some of these games... I'm over here using this dinosaur of a program to make my games lol a thousand apologies for wasting your time

So I hate to be this person...I am going to have to agree with the people, The pixels are a lot. Don't get me wrong I like the look you were going for... but it gave me a headache and made me feel nauseous. a game like this would give someone like my dad a seizure (he had to stop playing games like Turok because it messed him up) I would definitely give a seizure warning for now.  but not all hope is lost. if you can fix that effect I will gladly play through the game if you can just keep mme posted. I can't give you much advice on how to fix it lol, but don't change it too much.

Unfortunately, your game keeps crashing... All I see is black and all I hear is heavy breathing... I Guess that could be considered spooky? right?

I really enjoyed this game. I love the style. I will admit out of all the games I have played so far i enjoyed this one the most.

am I to assume that the character we play has disassociated? and did himself in?

Thanks for the feedback. I think I am going to add a bit to this game so- stay tuned. I have your game downloading as I type.

That's all I really wanted! Thank you 😊

switches I get, I want to know more about the battle system lol

Thanks for the support:) One day

At some point I'll make the story come together a little better, but I want to still keep it open ended to keep people wondering what's going on. Thankyou!

I know :(

I have very limited knowledge when it comes to this kind of thing. I almost use the program like a rough draft due to having no programming knowledge, which is something I intend to acquire over time. I definitely didn't take the menu into consideration at all. It was more so just supposed to be an interactive story. would like to have more choices... like not taking the key. or avoiding butch at the pool table.

Love the look of your game as well... a good concept too. Keep it up!

Yeah... I don't know 100% what I'm doing. maybe not even 30% or else I would have used another engine. lol one day. Thanks for playing!

I won't talk about the game mechanics because this is another game that ran slow for me. But I will say I think you should focus on your aesthetics.  Like changing the menu button colors from grey to a black with neon green font (not exactly that but an example of what I mean) and futuristic sound effects upon pressing them. Do you plan on keeping the Doomlike creatures 2Dsprites? If so, I suggest trying to crisp it up somehow. also, if you are going for a more horror like atmosphere, I'd darken up the environment and warp the music to sound more sinister while maintaining that sci-fi vibe.  I like how the environment looks and the music choice from purely a Sci-Fi perspective and if that is more your angle keep it that way- it's your game after all. but I was unable to see most of the game due to it running slowly which probably has more to do with my computer so sorry I couldn't be more helpful in that area. Keep going with it though good luck!

I found the sound effects fitting due to the fact that humor was your angle here. I also found the sound effects from the aerial assault to be like that of a dramatic car tumble resulting in a massive explosion. Clearly an homage to Death trips. Also I enjoyed the elevator music

I am having issues with a few games lagging really bad. unfortunately, this is one of them. so I got eaten by the wolves. :(

No problem! Good luck

The voice acting was crisp. nice aesthetics
