The rope feels a bit awkward to use at times, the window to activate it is a bit too small in my opinion.
I like the optional extra challenges, and the intro was a really neat idea. The music in this is amazing.
Death is usually not a part of a foddian game, the idea is that you fall (or otherwise progress backward) to the beginning when you fail, this gives players a chance to catch themself.
There should also be a bit of a breathing room when a new level loads to give you a chance to move your cursor so you don’t instantly die, deaths you can’t reasonably avoid aren’t fun, when a player fails, it should be the player’s fault.
Really nice gameplay, the game feels a bit slow at times, but I absolutely loved the ending jump, really satisfying payoff, and the wind sound effects just make that feeling much better.
Although I will say I wouldn’t consider it that hard (or maybe I was just too good at it :P ) as I completed it in mostly one go once I got the hang of the controls
It is a really hard game, and it is easy to lose control if you aren’t careful, but it always feels like the players fault, well done! And the control you have with the arrow keys gives you some nice wiggle room to roll onto platforms if you land on the edge while still being difficult to control giving you some really tense moments. Game looks really cute and I loved the music in this, really catchy.
I cant rate (didnt submit a game for the jam :P ), but I loved this game, the controls are a bit hard to get used to. but with some better controls I would love to see this as a full game! I especially liked the 5 buttons puzzle and the last one, really nice ones!
The mechanics themself are really cool, and a really nice progression and difficulty curve! would love to see more mechanics than just cubes :D
I also made a quick playthrough, its unlisted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Q_i_PCALFQ
