Haha, fellow Musescore user, gave me a laught!
Anyhow, thanks!
Yeah, true, you're right haha!
Yeah, it's a pity about the audio. I might (or should) look forward to getting some isolation and better recording gear for the future, as I'd like to share some medleys of movies and tv-series I have made in the past on youtube or something.
Anyway, your comment is appreciated!
Two Worlds?: Check!
Picture Theme?: Check!
The mysterious vibe at the end was really nice.
Tho, with the tympanies, as someone who used to play them in an actual orchestra, my heart got broken :( . But they were essential to the two worlds and chaos feeling, so you're good to go imo.
I think, with this soundtrack, creativity and theme are 5/5. As said, I really enjoyed the ending.
First off, the theme is on point, really. Very atmospheric, with "Where am I" really kicking in perfectly, and the audio quality is amazing.
One thing I noticed tho, is that in "Where am I", the left channel felt slightly louder than the right one to me.
Also, in the Main Theme, the high notes in the piano feel very "over the top" and overrunning the rest. Maybe switching these notes out with another instrument could make a difference.
I liked the wind instrument in the Main Theme at the beginning, it sounds very mysterious and kind of scary. Love it.
The wind sounds and the small wood-cracks in the background were also pretty sweet.
I really liked that harp in the Ending Theme, felt like I was arriving at my home village or something, just returning to a safe, familiar place. Absolutely liked that.
Overall, really nice soundtrack. Well done! Your work is appreciated!
A mixture between 16-bit, marching-orchestra, doom-music, and an I-IV-V chord progression. It was quite interesting, and it sounded surprisingly fitting to the description.
One question tho: Musescore? Sure looks and sounds like (in terms of recognizing, or am I mistaken?).
Definitely another nice soundtrack.
Ok, I think with these two you managed to control my heartbeats per second. Really enjoyable, with Worlds on Collision Course being especially chill, with all those crisp particles used as drums and the bass kicking in every 2 bars or 4 bars. Makes for a pretty inviting main menu theme imo.
The release in Worlds Touch was also very chill while having an... "intense" feel? Anyway, I really liked that too.
And again, wow! That one even gave me some goosebumps.
I really liked that drum and bass. With the drum "lagging" and being at 0dB, it gives this whole soundtrack that "unreal world"-type of vibe. The piano fits in perfectly as well.
I don't have anything to rant about, I think this soundtrack is great, fits perfectly with the theme as well. I think that's a 10/10 from me, really.
Edit: And the bass is very sweet as well. Also, it loops pretty well!
Wow! That was absolutely wonderful! I really enjoyed all these little, crisp particles and the sweet, sweet bass. Really comes out nicely!
One thing tho: I looked at the file in my daw, and the audio is overriding the whole time. I'd suggest adding a hard-limiter on the master track (the result will be pretty much the same, except it doesn't make the audio override).
Really loved that soundtrack tho!
I immediately recognized the musescore instruments haha. I wouldn't use it for anything other than sheet music. I'd recommend exporting as midi and then using it in something like Cakewalk (which is free) or any other daw to make the audio itself.
Now to the soundtrack (with my opinion of course, like everything else is):
It sounds pretty chaotic to me. This is probably because every instrument tried to kind of play its own melody (like from bar 25 or 53 and onwards). Maybe letting the violin and viola only play chords would make it sound cleaner while still providing that "explosion" for the part.
I like the main melody tho. Very simple, which makes it perfect to use in a variety of places. I also liked the kind of instruments you picked, I think they match each other great (tho as said at the very top, if it's for exporting audio, don't use the musescore instruments).
I also liked how the melodies mix at the end, tho it got a bit chaotic as well.
Overall, I think this soundtrack matches the theme goodly.
