I would have loved to play this, but I have a Linux system, and none of my usual ways of running windows programs worked :( I tried wine, proton, and windows 10 in a VM, but the game crashed in every case. The unreal runtime seems to run into some issue (at some point it even told me that my graphics card wasn't strong enough, which is admittedly kind of funny).
If anyone has any more ideas, I'm open for them!
Such a cool, surreal atmosphere! The music was a great choice, and I loved the karaoke minigame.
I found a potential bug, that got me softlocked on the platforming part on my first attempt. It looked like one of the tutels pushed my character out of bounds. I could not do anything after that, and had to restart.
EDIT: fixed typos
Don't worry about it, you couldn't have possibly accounted for my scuffed setup xd
In the end I managed to get it working using Lilliana Raquel's tip: adding it to steam and using the Steam Play compatibility tool (version Proton Hotfix). I made a little tutorial, in case anyone has a similar problem:
The game itself was very heartfelt and touching in its honesty. It's amazing, how Neuro and co can inspire such emotions in her fans.
The background music was a really nice choice too - did you make it for this occasion? I couldn't find the title anywhere.
Thank you for making this, and I wish you the best!
I would like to play the game, but I'm stuck on the first part.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but after entering the Welcome header, it tells me that I'm correct, and a next button appears - but when I click that, I'm not getting a new question.
If I try pressing enter it says "Incorrect. Try again!" which suggests that the game logic moved on to the next question, but for some reason the graphics don't update.

I'm attempting to play on a win10 virtual machine - I have to use a VM, since I'm on linux.
You got so much done in so little time! I really loved the art style and the humor.
I ran into a small audio bug when I double clicked on an overworld map location - from then on two different music tracks started playing simultaneously. It was a minor thing, but I had to mute for the rest of the game because of it.

Great entry! Beautiful art, nice jokes / callbacks. The combat is a little easy, I was corner camping everything with the shock collar, but it seems to me that the story was the main focus anyway. I'm also amazed at how well the webGL version runs.
and when Layna said "there's no time, the game jam's ending" I felt that in my soul
Great entry, managed to beat it after a few tries!
You mentioned in the comments, that you wanted to make the turn timer speed adjustable. I think a fully turn-based system might also be a good addition, where the guards move every time you make any action - so picking up a card, hacking, or entering another room. Since you cannot be attacked while you're standing still, it wouldn't make a lot of difference gameplay-wise, but could make things snappier. Fully turn-based is supposed to be better for the Neuro integration too.
There was meant to be a third room, but unfortunately I could not finish it in time.
Once you all dialog options for Ellie, Camila, Anny and Filian are exhausted, a message is supposed to pop up, letting you know that there is no more content in the game. I don't know why you didn't recieve it, it might have bugged out - but if you talked to everyone, then you already experienced everything there was to experience for now. It is admittedly not much - I severly overestimated how much I could get done in 72 hours 😅
Anyways, thanks for playing, and for the feedback!
I'm ESL, so this might be a dumb question, but this line in the announcement confuses me:
- When rating this criteria, please ensure there is no bias towards rhythm games incorporating non-original music.
Since making original music for a 3-day game jam is impossible for most people, I'm guessing that here you are telling voters NOT to dock points just because the soundtrack is not original. Is that what this means?
What confuses me is the expression "ensure there is no bias towards" since I'd expected "ensure there is no bias against". I hope I'm not coming off as pedantic, I honestly don't know if the problem is in the wording, my expectations, or my english xd
