Great little game with good art and a fun mechanic. A little easy but that's fine for a game jam. A sky box instead of a void would up the charm a little but other then that a great entry.

The cover art is cute and a top down shooter isn't a bad idea. Unfortunately not quite finished.

Amazing presentation and polish. Lovely animations and the dash and double jump combo dice move feels great except accidentally shrinking instead. I think shrinking should only happen when you hold down or get hit by the shrink bullets. That would help a lot with the controls.

The idea of changing what dice you use to try and roll is good. The problem is the game is so short and the die arnt different enough so there is no real reason to ever change the dice. Maybe if you only had one or even two dice, or one dice was like a two sided coin. That way using a bad dice or no dice in a slot would be a real sacrifice. Like this turn you need to heal so you have to either do less damage or take more damage to heal properly. As is; the dice are an interesting idea but which go in which slot isn't really an interesting challenge.

OH! I see. That wasn't too clear. Maybe There could be a more prominent or clear way to explain it to the player.

Thanks for the advice! I didn't actually know about that counter glitch thank you.

A solid start to a game. My biggest problem is because of how slow you move combined with yours and your enemy's bullets being the same speed you can't try and shoot an enemy without dying yourself.  Id make the player movement more snappy so you can shoot and dodge better.

The idea is not too bad but execution kinda fell flat at least in the mac version. The jump doesn't work most of the time that you press the button. The camera could also use a little more stability. I couldn't see what was happening and got motion sick. The platforming latter down the line looked fun i just couldn't get that far.

LOL thanks I think. It used to be harder but the speed of the dice drops significantly randomly so i had to make them way too fast for it to be playable. Now the games like ten secs long instead of 2 mins.

(1 edit)

So i don't know what causes this. But I believe the speed at which the dice move is tied to your computers performance. I tried to fix it by making the dice way too fast so when they slow down they are still fast enough to move. It works on my computer but it sounds like it didn't work for everyone. I can't even begin to imagine how to fix this unfortunately so i suppose the game is stuck unplayable which is disappointing. I learned quite a bit at the very least. (I made this on a MacBook so maybe that has something to do with it. it struggles to run most games even my own).

A great multiplayer game. Would be fun with friends.

The art, polish, writing, personality and characters REALLY shine here. I definitely chuckled quite a few times. The gameplay is very fun if not a little simple. There isn't a crazy amount of strategy involved and even the final boss went down in two turns however instead of making it boring it actually just lends to a feeling of being overpowered which actually serves to make the game more fun. When you double poison and frost an enemy then hit yourself with a shield you feel awesome. The art on the dice really help with that. Overall very fun.

I like the playable visual metaphor aspect to it. A little simple but not in a bad way. Kinda like a playable motivational poster. Id recommond it its got a nice message.

The idea of moving the dots to trade consistency for higher damage is a fun idea. I couldn't find any enemy's or anything more then two switches and a door tough. The mechanic might turn out fun if theirs a little more game attached to it.

Embarassingly I couldn't beat it. Very fun and addictive. You get set back just often enough that its not annoying and the telegraphing really helps with that. This is actually a REALLY fun educational game. I think if maybe you made more levels with ones where the wizard is a little less aggressive to come before this one this could be insanely popular on something like cool math. I haven't played a game that makes math this fun before.

I love the mechanic for discovoring the overmind. Intentionally trying get your troops taken out but not too many is a clever bit of strategy. The empowering mechanic is also great because it supports the overlord portion. if you could kill all enemies you wouldn't need to find the overlord. very clever and fun. The tutorial is a bit poorly worded and long winded but anyone who's played a stratagy game before will pick up on the rules quick.
