Haahahah LOL I love the overall vibe of your game mate 🤣 And the gameplay is acctualy good! I had fun playing yours

I had fun playing yours :-) It's relaxing! Although, I would have prefered WSDA controls instead. Also: I started exploring the edges first. After uncovering ~60% of the map, the indicator said I explored 100%. Was that intentional?

Fun little game! It's sortof a 3D version of mine: "try to avoid the objects". Cool that you added music and sound effects! That makes the game feel a bit more alive

Damn, this is impressive for a sub-3-hour submission! How did you do that :o ?

Interesting mechanic! It took me a while to notice that I could use the right mousebutton for rotations. Did you come up with this mechanic during the jam? Or was this jam an excuse to try this out? 😁😎

I just uploaded an updated version, this one is really close to what I intended :-)

Have fun! https://www.wouter52.com/PROJECTS/SSJ_2023/PLAY_PJ/

Thanks! Tomorrow I will iron out some annoying bugs, balance it and create a proper map. I did not have time for that anymore. So a post-jam version will be uploaded tomorrow :-) I hope the 'endless snow' theme is there for you, the farther you go, the uglier the weather will get ^^'

I found some democode a few years back. I made a game with that code in the past (SensenCemetary), and heavily modified it again for this jam. The code is all spagetti now, but it works :D

The animation is a bit lengthy indeed, in the next version I try to tweak that a bit. A hidden feature is that you can longpress to make the die spin even harder :D

The magenta dots are a safetyfeature implemented by your browser (you use Brave or Firefox?). Very long story, but the sumary has to do with protection against fingerprinting strategies websites can use (no worries, mine doesn't). It changes some pixels in the HTML canvas a little bit without the user noticing. Just happens that my game uses one specific value for transparancy. If it's a bit off, it won't become transparent, thus the dots appear ^^" In some previous entries I fixed that issue, because there it was gamebreaking as colissions would get messed up also 😁

Thanks for your feedback!

Ooh that would be a nightmare! haha! maybe it would be a fun 'goal' if expanded later

Congratz on your highscore! You are still on the #1 spot I see.

Thank you for the awesome feedback!

Thank you so much! And thank you for the awesome feedback! Next time I'll think more about alternative controls :-)

Thanks!

Thank you! Do you have any suggestions?

I was thinking about making it mandatory to matchup the patterns of the projectiles in order to destroy them. But I figured that would get hard very quick
I had also an idea of bigger rocks that needed to be hit twice, but I did not have enough time to implement that 😇

Thank you! Just curious: what did make you think it was a steam pre-release? 😁 Believe it or not, but I'm not really a gamer, so I don't use steam a whole lot 😇

The style is awesome! I love the death animation (sorry, I'm a horrible person haha)

A view things I noticed:
Sometimes, when standing too close to the fire, the fire won't be put out.

In one level I ignored a fire because the tank was empy. There seems no punnishment for not putting out some fires. Is that intended?

Cool idea! My score is 28 :-) I was panicking a bit when the megazombe spawned haha! I had fun playing yours :-)

I like your game, and I love a scoreboard! I got over 40 points, but somehow it does not show up? Or is it loaded once in a while?

Some feedback: first I thought that the one heart at the top right corner was a powerup, but it turned out to be an health indicator.
Maybe a way to get combo's or more points for dangerous moves could be nice, because now the points are an other way to say how far the player has come.
There is a bug I found where the amount of points is not reset after restarting the level.

I love the graphics! It is really convincing! I screenshotted it and zoomed in on mspaint to see how you did that ^^"

I like your game! The theme and focus is realy visible in this one. I was stuck at level 3 (or 4?) where you had to jump over 3 fires. After a while I found out that I could distibute the points diffrently and then the level became very easy.

I think that the distibution of the points could be a bit more user-friendly. I had situations where I changed my mind, but I could not undo my choises. I had to start the level and press R.

The Graphics are cute and I like that there is music in this game. That is somnething my games is missing a lot of the time
