doesnt necessarily need to be text, maybe some visual cues instead? I can understand where ur coming from though... looks alot cleaner without texts.

really solid game, I found myself playing this a lot longer than most games... my only grip was constantly needing to reselect the citizens.

nice, I really like the vfx's... specially the thunder strike... but yeh; just like the previous commenter has suggested, some texts or a visual feedback from picking an upgrade to let us know what type of upgrades we got, would be nice to see.

well, your not really supposed to even leave the circle... there are sea bears out there

glitch or unintended feature hmmmm? ... nah definitely a glitch

such a fun idea for a puzzle game

fun and cute little game, levels were definitely a challenge... some of the collisions could use some polish though, unless the characters being wall-phobic was intentional... the character does end up blending with the background at times, so a lighter colored outline for the character shud help with that

great concept, approving and launching satellites seems like a fun and cool idea... the current implementation; does leave a lot to be desired, but with a bit more polish this would be an amazing game

Therapist: "Meatball Man isn't real and  it can't hurt you"

Meatball Man:

the overall style looks pretty good, definitely a top-tier game

cool  concept; I really like the  characters designs, reminds me of an old newgrounds game

cute and simple, pretty satisfying seeing the colors merge into a new color

thanks for playing; for the limitation I wanted the team of 2 squids to be pretty realistic, so most of the time only 1 guy just does all the work while the other slacks of... glad it turned out as it is, very relatable :P

what bug are you referring to? also there's no collisions for the border since its not a wall, its just a line on the sand similar to a sumo arena.

glad to see u used my name idea, game definitely has potential... more polishing would do wonders, specially for drawing lines similar to the 'draw physics line' games

ok, this felt really smooth and satisfying... the animation and movement of the fish were so mesmerizing. this would benefit greatly from being turned into a full game.... for some reason this reminded me of the game 'ecco the dolphin'

thanks for playing, yeh i actually was supposed to make the other squid just follow around... but opted not too, being able to split up and cover more ground just felt super nice, also with the current controls u can just tap the swap button and have the squids move in tandem if ud like... basically i like giving players the option to play as they please.

lovely and charming, the voice acting was on  point... felt like an asmr video

some tweaks with the camera and bounciness from hitting walls would do this game wonders

as a puzzle game connoisseur, I give this a thumbs up... only gripe was that it wasn't clear at the start  which was the main tower I was controlling... my eyes immediately focused on the blue tower.

a card game? ... in my game jam?... >:D yes please, truth be told I actually already played this earlier since i saw it linked for late submissions, overall concept pretty solid... though could definitely use a bit of polish, the fights felt like they  drag on for too long... as card games go that makes sense (I play alot of LOR and Yu-gi-oh), but the currently implemented battle system is simple enough that it shudn't.

looking forward to this being developed further, always happy to see card games being made :3

yeh that last fish knew where to hide once all his fishy friends were inked... why no music u ask? I place all the blame on @The.Json, he knows wut he did -_-

gorgeous art style. very creative concept for the gameplay, definitely has a lot of charm...
I felt like the levels start off too strong, ended up panicking at times and didn't give me enough breathing room to stop and think. also the controls could use some tweaking specifically for refilling ink and selecting/placing towers.

maybe the real 'reason' are the friends we make along the way :3

very cool, this felt like a cosmic horror game to me... the slime being a solid black color and being that big, felt like a blackhole sucking me in.

lel, new speedrunning world record here i come >:D

ah i think i know what happened, no thats not part of the game... i think u just highlighted the  game by accident using ur mouse... the same result could be replicated by pressing the game page and pressing ctrl+A.

very cool concept, and pretty daring to try an RTS for a jam. would love to see a full version of this with all the bugs fixed.

ty for trying out our game.

I'm sorry what do you mean by 'the light started to get much darker'? u mean the 'fade to black' transition after clearing the level?
'After cleaning the level it still was dark.' sorry i don't understand... do you have any  screenshots?

cute game, I really like the character design...

also I found this bug

pretty cool

definitely has potential, a bit more polish would make this game shine.

I appreciate the concept, but I seem to have found myself stuck... downloading and opening the game... I was completely lost on what to do, took me a couple of minutes to go back and check the game page for clarifications, didn't help.

I'm not exactly sure how to progress further, trying to follow based on instructions, but visual feedbacks from the game isn't letting me know if I'm doing things correctly or not...

not sure if it was intended or just a bug, but things just flicker...  im assuming the letter are supposed to be the color u selected, but it just flickers and turns everything back to grey. same with the berries and leaves, not sure if their supposed to appear on screen or just flicker in when u hover over them.

i haven't reached that level yet however

lul i just noticed this...

yeh including it in the starting dialogue would have helped... but some visual cues, would be alot better basically making it obvious the little squids are supposed to be swimming on top of the trails u leave behind

lovely game, I'm quite  terrible at this types of games... but I can definitely appreciate the overall vibe and gameplay loop.

game is pretty charming, and definitely has potential when further developed...

I luv the visual effect of the map appearing as u explore, I was a bit confused on the black gauge on the side since it was very wide and was just a solid black color, a border surrounding it or at the very least separating it from the level would help.

very cute game, I luv the squid designs... overall swimming around is pretty fun, but some clarity on what to do would be nice :3

thanks for playing,  sounds are all thanks to The.Json squeezing a wet towel.

thank you for the kind words,  the artistic direction was actually driven by my lack of artistic skills :P ... every artist I knew was busy to join this jam with me.

was originally planning on adding some sort of timer and radar; since I also find myself looking for the last fish, but I actually quite liked the slow cozy pacing... very reminiscent of playing an old Y8 stickman sniper game, also finding the last fish actually felt pretty fun after a while, kinda like hide-and-go-seek... also plays well with the whole 'hitman squid' concept of hunting down ur targets

lul, yeh i can definitely see that... the original controls and gameplay of my game would actually be pretty close to what ur game is right now... but somewhere along the way, I decided to add guns :P

definitely a  hidden gem, reminds  me so much of 'Loco Roco'
