Thanks for taking the time to try it out!

Man, the track didn't loop? I can't believe I didn't catch that! I do apologize for all the bugs, really ran out of time to fix it there and this is what I was left with. I wanted to add more hints but that's probably considered "adding content" and I don't think I could've done that after the deadline.

Hmm, if you enjoyed the crazy options like eat frog, know that kissing the frog is also an option.

This is such an enjoyable little game! It really encourages exploration and has way more content than I expected initially. You get to the end(?) of a path and discover that you've just began. There's a secret as well!

Thanks for taking the time to play through it! I know it has loads of room for improvement, didn't exactly manage my time right.

I'm glad you liked the art, it is Ai generated but I tried to touch it up in places and make it look right.

Ah, I can't believe I didn't think of that! I started working on the game way too late and didn't manage to implement a lot of alternative solutions.

All you can do with the ring is drop it in the appropriate location.

Thank you for the heads up! I knew my game needed a good bit of touching up before I submitted but I was in a real rush for time. I also just now learned about the game information thing.

Done and done, the game should open up in full screen now.

Wow, that's a lot! Thank you so much for taking the time try my game out and write all this feedback, I really appreciate it.

Those are all very good points about the gameplay, I'm really mad at myself for forgetting to add wasd movement before releasing. I'm using Godot and doing that is incredibly easy, I did it the next day after the jam ended in 2 minutes at most, it just slipped my mind to do it beforehand.

Also, ice physics is a great suggestion, I have been thinking of ways to tweak the maze mechanics as I've been working on the next stages, and that should feel less frustrating, ideally. (I'm really sorry for causing you carpal tunnel syndrome)

As for polish, I've yet to dabble much into sound effects, though that's probably something I should focus on for my next game jam.

And to address some of your questions there: the narrator is the furthest thing from an unbiased, neutral entity. That aspect doesn't really get to shine in the content that's currently available, but I'm glad you picked up on it. The rabbit - another suspicious creature with weird interests, the red eyes are generally the norm for albino rabbits, the murderous tendencies are not though.

Again, I'm really thankful for you giving my tiny little game a chance. I know it's unpleasant in many ways, but it's all a learning experience in the end.

This game is really fun, well done! The character designs are adorable and the movement feels really smooth. Pushing the various quarks around is a nice mechanic and it works really well. They all have something fun to say too.

I managed to complete the game after a bit of trial and error, but I got the "sub optimal" end because I couldn't stop myself from shooting the little star quark that told me how to shoot things. I had a lot of fun with it though. The soundtrack suits it well too. My one suggestion would be making some sort of quest tracker, so that the player can see how many quarks they still need to bring together, and how many to destroy. Otherwise, players might be left wondering the map for a good while before they figure out what to do next.

If you don't mind, I would really appreciate it if you could check my game out as well :)

This is such a pleasant game, it's really well made! The voice acting is incredible, and the gameplay feels really smooth and fun. The difficulty scaling also feels well thought out, it's easy to figure out what your are supposed to do in the beginning but you still need to put some thought into the later levels.

Overall, it's a very cute game that I enjoyed plenty. Well done!

Many thanks for the feedback and for the ideas! I'll make the mazes increasingly difficult in the following stages of the game ;)

I'm happy to hear that you liked it! I'm sorry if the mazes were difficult, it was hard for me to scale the difficulty because I played them so many times that I got really good at them. I could do most of them in one try so I actually thought they were too easy, even though I struggled at first too.

Also, I do indeed have more in store for this game! I hope you'll check it out once I finish it :)

Glad to hear it! You don't really have to wait until the jam voting finishes in order to modify your game page though. So long as you don't touch the game files, you should still be able to add a thumbnail or change the itch page

This game is absolutely adorable, I feel bad that I couldn't get Ted to charm Tia...

The art, sound effects, polish and gameplay are great! They all fit really nicely together and form a cohesive. albeit short experience. The story is charming as well! How did you manage to make all of this in three days? Your game is really cool, well done!

Really great game! I'm sure a lot of work went into all of the mechanics, and they resulted in some pretty challenging but engaging gameplay! The aesthetic of the game is really pleasant, and the art is amazing considering you only had 3 days to work with. All of the characters, Kel, the Witch, Mother Earth, look really polished and are beautiful. It's a pity we couldn't charm the witch into becoming friendly at the end of the game ;)

There's some solid use of music and sfx as well. I really liked the game's polish in general.

My chief complaint is that the game lagged a lot every once in a while. Maybe it's because I played it in browser, maybe it's because my laptop is old, but the game felt really slow once lots of bullets came onto the screen.

Other than that, I really enjoyed playing your game! Well done!

This is such a pretty game! I love the artstyle to bits, it's really nice. The cat is absolutely adorable too. I liked exploring the world to find the objects, it would be nice if we could have some indication about what items we have collected though.

It's nice to see another game about a cat enslaving people with its charm! Mine also tries to do something similar, but the art isn't this good.

I really liked your game. It's simple, cute and charming. It's a pity it didn't get more attention, a simple thumbnail could go a long way with getting more eyes on it.

Such a nice little game! I love the protagonist, such a cutie. The artstyle in general is pretty neat as well. The levels played pretty well, but it was tough to figure out what to do at first and the controls felt rather unintuitive. It was fun once I got used to them though! Music was great too, a bit loud for my taste however. I think adding a slider for music volume might be a good idea.

Your game was fun to play, well done!

Hah, this game is absolutely adorable! I love all of the characters, they're quite charming and they have interesting personalities. Not to mention the artstyle, which is amazing. I enjoyed the main game mechanic a lot, it's simple but unique and engaging. I'm impressed that you managed to make all of it in just 3 days. I really enjoyed playing this one, well done!

Such a charming little game! The wizard and the zombies look adorable. A little animation for these sprites certainly wouldn't hurt though. Also, the game played nice but felt a bit too slow in the beginning. Speeding things up a bit might help.

Good job making this!

Cute game! It's simple but charming. I liked the story you included on the itch page a lot, It would've been cool if you included some of that into the game world. Like, have the main character be an actual pixel, and show evil high-res santa and his minions. I know pixel art is tough though, and you did well with the time you had available.

(1 edit)

Thank you so much for the feedback! It's always appreciated ;)

I'm glad you liked my sense of humor, I was afraid it wouldn't come through all that well. As for the artstyle and coding, all I can say is that this novice is learning and growing!

I'm really glad you enjoyed the game! The family ending is about all there is for now, but more will come eventually. Thank you for playing, I had a lot of fun playing your game as well!

This game is really impressive in a lot of ways. The character designs are fantastic (love that mischievous Cupid to bits) and the writing is really solid. The music is a perfect choice and it really pulls everything together nicely. The couples are absolutely adorable as well, I'd love to hear more about their antics!

Some feedback:

-Not exactly related to the game, moreso the itch page: the viewport window seems quite large compared to the actual game and it distorts the page a fair bit.

-I noticed while reading the various character pages that the characters that are walking around get stuck in one another and it looks a bit strange. They are kinda cute to be honest.

-It would be interesting if there were more than 3 perfect pairings. Like, sure, Cory is meant for someone else, but him and Skylar could surprisingly find love together as well, maybe (I think it would add more to the charm of trying out pairings, but I understand it would add a fair bit more work to an already complex project)

Overall I really enjoyed this game, the story is amazing, the characters are cute, the writing feels complex, it manages to explore the characters well and give the player a good look into who they are. Great job making this, it's quite charming.

Yes, I noticed that bug after the jam ended. I can't believe I didn't notice it sooner. I'll have it fixed when we can modify our game builds.

Also, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the game!

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I did intend to use wasd movement but I forgot to add it by the time we had to submit the games. I'll definitely add it once we can modify our game builds.

Finishing this game has got to be the most satisfying thing I did all week. There was not ONE minigame that I didn't struggle with, but I'm really proud I got through it.

The effects and the whole atmosphere of the game are so charming! And the fact that you incorporated it into all of the minigames is impressive. Soundtracks were lovely too! (but I heard them so many times that they will probably play during my nightmares as well)

It's astounding what you managed to create in only three days. The story is engaging, the minigames are really challenging but also fun and rewarding and the art and effects blend really well together, creating a really unique aesthetic (In the best way).

I really enjoyed playing this, it was a great experience. If there was one thing I could ask for, it would be a difficulty setting. For the people with poor hand-eye coordination, such as yours truly.

This is such an adorable little platformer! The music and the art make for a really relaxing and pleasant playthrough, and the various mechanics are intuitive and fun!

This is really well done, impressive that it was made in just 3 days. I loved the ending too, I got to make all my tiny rabbits into big rabbits. That was cute

Such an interesting approach to the theme, the art and the music are really charming! :)

But why is my bro coming back with all these weird haircuts from these dates of his, hmm?

I might have ruined the day of two npcs before figuring out what I should be doing, but I managed to get the hang of things eventually. The game mechanic you came up with for the charming process is really cool!

I really enjoyed it to be honest, I couldn't figure out how to exit the first stage though, once all the women either stormed off or went on dates.

This game is great! The concept is interesting and the gameplay is smooth, you can just keep playing for as long as your plant will stay alive. The artstyle is fantastic too. Good job to the devs!

Man, this game looks so cute! :)

From what I've seen so far, the animation is really satisfying, it feels like it flows and plays well, the controls are nice. The music is really fitting too, I enjoyed it.

Some feedback:

The set screen resolution makes it really difficult for me to play the game, because it's just too big. I can only see a small part of the game and that makes it difficult to play.

Also, while I'm far from the best at pixel art and I certainly struggle with following this rule myself, you might want to avoid using pixels of different sizes in your art, as that can look a bit jarring to the player. Like, how the pixels that make up the texture of the ground tiles in the game are smaller than the ones used to make the player character.

Overall it's a really charming game, good job making it!

Really cute game, it can certainly manage to hold a player's attention. The concept is really engaging and the story is a nice touch. Though, as others have mentioned, the aiming is a bit off and it can make the experience pretty frustrating. Either way, good job making this!

This is absolutely adorable, I love this concept! I became a pro-enviornment dictator cat :)

I love the lighting in this game, it looks good and is used really well to create a spooky atmosphere. Also, the behaviour of the spirits is really nice and dynamic. It did make me feel bad about my own morality in the beginning though, when I inevitably chose the "stay at home" option just to see what would happen.

This is a really cute game! It feels really cozy and relaxing, and the animations are "bouncy", which I love. The painting aspect is nice too. It's a bit hard figuring out what to do at first though.

Damn, this game is so polished and the writing is amazing! Noot noot and Blahaj caught my attention early on, even before Button got onto the scene. Also, there is so much attention to detail in the game, I loved the little disclaimer on the side of the meet 'n eat page. Overall, I really enjoyed it. Definitely cried a little during certain scenes.
