I agree with ya on that point. I've been reading on Reddit people complaining this game is not OG morenatsu but at this point it's clear this game wants to be it's own thing, same setup, same people, but another angle on what happened in another universe. And frankly Kyouji's route is peak writing there. I was expecting nothing out of it, now I want to know what they will do with Kouya's route, because with Kyouji's route the way it is, it makes the struggles Kouya had on the OG game so stupid.

The game's structure works as follows:
After the Day 3 in-game, every A and S rank answers can lead you to special routes that can show you more interactions with the characters. Eventually their interaction start being more intimate but not by a lot.
There's also PLOT routes but to achieve them you need to answer only S-Rank routes. For now though, only patrons have access to a cheat-sheet, and recently the game got updates on Patreon that gives you a message that displays the mood of the character based on what you answered, each rank answer gives a different notification so it's "easier" to know when you answered something very good or stupidly bad.

Right now, Tier 1 members can access to early 0.58 build of the game, while by the end of this year (December), the game will be updated to this version only in December, while by June Tier 1 patrons will already have the build 0.63 available. Tier 1 patrons will be exponentially more updated than the public in that regard.
I played through the Kyouji route and it makes me wonder how Soutarou routes will go together with his now. But I have to tell: if you guys are re-writting all end routes then I have high ropes for some of the old ones I thought could have been better written. Kyouji's route is extremely emotional and well done, apart from Hiro's silly behavior that makes me believe he's still in his 15's sometimes, the jump in quality once Act 3 happened just flat out impressed me.
It's very rare for a route to make me think of it for so long, the last time I had such a strong impression on a VN reading was on Knight's college's plot twist. What I mean is that you guys were able to create something extremely tense, well written and good overall with the lack of cutscenes, which shows how strong the writing is.
The NSFW parts are also very well-written too, I think Kyoji went from my bottom to my top routes and I hope once cutscenes are done that you guys give us some few scenes for Kyouji's route, especially the most emotional ones, in the locker room and later at the festival I think those are very good places to make cutscenes, but when Kyoji goes have the talk and asks Kouya to take him to the place he needs tobe, that scene is also very powerful. You guys have a gem there if you want, this can easily be one of the most interesting and well paced routes in the game.
Like, really, this is the first time I play this game and I wish we had a DLC with Hiro coming back for Winter to spend a week or two with the boyfriend he chose if he did a perfect route ending.

Since this project was born from the need of the people who never could have his and Soutarou's routes back in the 2000's, Both Souratou and Torahiko routes will be the last to be released.
I'm pretty sure their schedule will be to release all routes that already exists on the original with their original text, then leave us without updates for one or two years until they have Tora and Sourarou routes completed WITH the artworks and sex scenes too. Which means, we will only experience the full Tora route by version 1.0 of this project.
And I'm fine with it. Creating a game takes a huge ton of time and this project is free. I'll patiently wait for it.
I hope you can enjoy it. I'm working on an update in engine that will make the Android (and the PC versions) way better looking, so for now I hope it's good enough to enjoy the story. Just know that since the money I'~m making with Just Friends is barely the minimum wage here and it's the only job I have right now, it's being very tricky for me to buy more art for the project. It's NSFW however there is no actual porn right now in it, first because Just Friends is designed to have all the porn as a reward at the final two days in-game, and second because I need to make more money producing the game to buy more art for it. However, in some S-class segments, there are some very lewd descriptions here and there.
So to the very least, read it while you're alone for now. :)
I think it's smarter too, because everyone who's here, wants a Torahiko route, since his route never existed in the original.
Which means once they finish his route, it's probably the end of the project, the interest it gone. They can't monetize with Morenatsu but no one wants to work on a project that people lost interest. And that interest is lost as soon as Torahiko's route is done.

Hello there. IT's specified in this page over bold letters, but here's the answer: The current Build fo the public is the 0.49.0.35, the next scheduled public build is scheduled for December, and it will be the build 0.53.0.35.
Said build, is already available for Tier 1 Patrons, and in November, Tier 0 patrons will also be able to download the next public build earlier before it's put for the public in December.
Patrons have access to monthly updates, currently Tier2+ patrons have access to Builds 0.63.0.35 and this month is scheduled to release the build 0.64.0.35.

This looks like a mod, an older version or an alplha build.
I don't think it's an older version because they only swapped models twice, and the older models were awful compared to the ones in the image, so either this is a mod, or is a build that was never released. Sorry mate I doubt you'll find it here tho.
Just wait, I prefer them taking their time to give me free updates of a game I don't need to pay to play, rather than keep making them work for free and give me updates as if they need to release builds every X months or so. In the end, if they do it out of their own free time with care, we will have something cool and fun and very well done. I prefer that, rather than having this game repeating the same things the original did and never reading through the rest of the routes :D
The closer they get to the finish line, the harder it is to release faster though.

You're remaking a visual novel that everyone who's 25+ loves. That lots of people tried to re-do but none did to the end. You was able to fetch attention to the Remake, and the routes everyone wants the most are Kouya, Kyouji and Soutarou and Torahiko, the last three never had their routes finished.
Torahiko is also the "main route" of the game.
If his route is finished, there's a huge change most people would lose interest in the game. So it will obviously be the last one. I believe Torahiko itself will be the last route to be added and will also only be added once all artworks for his route is complete, because once his route is done, the game is also done. But I may be wrong.
Revisited is not a Remake, it's a reimagination of Morenatsu.
Essentially the Original is unfinished, and full of social problems, such as having underage characters, rape, kidnapping, grooming and other aspects that are not cool. Those were completely removed from Revisited, all characters are +18 and the main protagonist now can be a Human or a White Fox, all characters are re-drawn and all routes will be different and finished. Some routes haven't changed a lot, but some of them are being completely rewritten. So yeah, that's the difference.
If you wanna see NSFW scenes, only the Original MOrenatsu have them, Revisited will focus first on finish all routes, THEN, they'll make the NSFW scenes, those are expensive or costly to make.
Developing anything takes time and learning does it too. It took me an entire year before opening my Patreon, to take Godot, learn it, and create a system that would work as a Visual Novel. It has it's perks, but also has the downsides. One of them is that for me to port it to Android I need to manually recreate a lot of menus.
Either way, keep on studying, Godot is far easier than a lot of engines out there.
Just Friends is powered by Godot 3.5.4.
Ren'py was one of the choices but after seeing how big projects like Camp Buddy would start running on that platform I decided it would be way more difficult to optimize code and edit already existing scenes.
I created the whole visual novel code from scratch to work with Godot years ago.
Sorry for taking so long to answer: Each answer you give gives, or subtracts points from your affinity gauge. After the third day in-game, if you have enough affinity points, by answering the correct path, you can get into more interesting routes, one of them with Wagner can even lead you to a cutscene.
For guides though, that's a Patreon-only perk, every ten or so builds I update a chart for patrons to use. But there's no public chart made yet. Maybe, eventually, I'll make one for the public, but right now my focus is solely on my Patrons and Patreon content.
I can give you a tip though: Every time you answer something wrong, 90% of the time the character will have a bad reaction to what you said. That's not a rule, of course, but it is a design choice I made for the first days. :)
I'm sorry to hear that mate. So, the thing with MAC is that it needs a special key that is very, very expensive for me to buy right now, and I can't test it without owning a MAC which, sadly, in my country is considered Elite hardware.
For now, only Windows and Linux are compatible, eventually I will be porting it to Android. iOS will not be supported for the exact same reason, and I'm so sorry. Apple is known to be very strict with how people develop stuff for their hardware, so it's a whole expensive, and difficult process for me, considering how much I make monthly for this game. But hey, maybe in the future once the project is at it's end or released on Steam I will be making enough money to buy apple hardware and fetch all the licences to port the games to their system too! But for now, that's impossible for me, so I hope you understand.

Well, they work on this game for free, while working on the game that ACTUALLY give them money to work on. So we should just be glad they found an artist who is kind enough to donate his art for this project OR that they have the spare money to invest in the project because Art is expensive especially good art, good music, etc. So I'm not complaining, I'm gladly gonna wait for months, even years as long as they keep updating the discord every now and then saying that they are working on it slowly or not.
Just remember it's very, very hard to make a visual novel, and work on one for free, and give quality work like they are doing? We should be forever grateful.
The art alone from someone like Wagnermutt costs 150 minimum, not including background and everything, I only (and recently) started making 200, I'm already working with him on installments at times, plus at the end of the day I'm also handling coding and writing alone, and as you can imagine, I can't pay the bills and eat with 50 ~ 100 a moth, still here I am working on the project with all the love and passion I got and right there to answer everyone's questions about it whenever they need.
So I guess it's quite fair to compare popular VNs making 1k+ a month and me trying to work through mine with the little I got.
Thanks for your time playing the game. Every time I find some time I try my best to find every typo I did on the current builds, I also use Grammarly to help with those but sometimes it does more damage than help. Just yesterday I was compiling Wagner's first day as an ebook for Tier 4 patrons and I found lots of small typos I fixed on the first day so eventually they will be fixed! :D
