HYPPPEE!! EXCITED FOR THE RELEASE!

Hiya, sorry to reply on a 1 year old thread 😅

Wanted to double check if this plugin is not compatible with MV. The tags on this plugin include RPG Maker MV so I was about to buy this until I saw this thread. Has if been updated to be compatible with MV?

Just finished the game, I loved it! The character designs are spectacular, I wish we got to know more about the side characters. Loved the story a lot, I did not expect at the end. Eddie and Topher are a great duo, I loved following their journey!

Them/them swag?! That's amzing, I love them even more now <3

That ending was emotional 😭 Beautiful game! Turns out my cooking skills irl are the same in as game.

BANGERRR GAME!! LOVED IT!!

I love that Ryker's dreams are more insane than their drug trips LOL

I need the paranormal investigation duo to come back in the next part so badly omg

Is there a way to play this in windowed instead of fullscreen?

Submitted a response!

*SNAP*

Yep. This is going in my cringe compilation.

Anyways, I love this game a lot :^)

LET'S GOOOOOOOO

This is an incredible game and is currently my favorite RPG game of all time. I seriously love every aspect of this. The characters, the story, the stunning artwork, it's all created a game like no other. Your ability to draw dark scenes sets the dark tone of the game. The expressions of your characters are strong, and it made me empathize with them. If you ever release an art book for Cold Front, I'd love to buy it!

I was so invested in Augustine's story as I related to his deep insecurities a lot. It really felt like I was being gaslit by Winnie. I could feel the betrayal and resentment Augustine felt for Winnie, so I found myself always choosing to treat Winnie terribly. I think you can guess which ending I got first. I was happy when Winnie died, but after I got the second ending, I was even happier that he lived. I'm happy for Augustine. The honest conversation they had made me tear up. Seeing Winnie explain things from his perspective really showed how delusional Augustine's insecurities made him. I'm so glad they were able to work it out and have a happy ending. Ahhh god, I just love it so much. It's so rare to see stories of friendship, so this was just so refreshing to play. Thank you for creating this. I'll be thinking about it for a long time.

I finally got around to playing this and, oh my god, this blew me away!! I really wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. Your writing has improved so much from your previous games. This is now my favorite visual novel of yours.

The romance between Sol and Chet is so lovely; it was just heartwarming to watch them take care of each other in a cute domestic life. I enjoy the relaxed and quiet atmosphere that's present throughout the whole game. You picked such great music to go with this; it really helped set the mood. The piano song has a wonderful melancholic feel to it that makes the world feel dreamy. It worked so well for the romantic and tense moments.

Sol's journey to standing up to her parents really resonated with me. I relate to her a lot, as I too have overbearing parents that want to decide how I live my life. In the beginning, I was a little annoyed at how Sol was so timid about telling her parents no, as it seemed so simple to me. But once I met her parents, I really understood why she was afraid of them. They use such cold manipulation tactics to guilt-trip you into doing what they want. The way they just decided how she felt, as if that's something they got to control, is so reminiscent of my own parents. I could feel myself getting so pissed with how Sol's mom talked down to her. It really is easier to stay quiet instead of fighting back. Parents like hers are just so emotionally exhausting. The moment she stood up to her parents and made her decision known, I was filled with so much satisfaction. That scene was excellently written. I think it'll be stuck in my head for a while haha.

tl;dr Super great story! Sol's arc was relatable and had me so invested. I really look forward to your next visual novel 🥰

Edit: Also will we ever see Lyon? I want to know about them 👀

I CAN'T WAIT AHHHHHHHH

I keep forgetting to comment here because I've been busy, but I did play your game on launch day! I really enjoyed the little demo you put out. It was so nice to finally see your characters in their original world. The worldbuilding is amazing and it feels like something that should be adapted into a movie. I'm a huge sucker for stories like these.

I think someone said most of the critiques I had, so I won't repeat them. I do have one thing I'd like to point out that bothered me a little bit. I felt like Chris, as a protagonist, was really passive. Maybe it's because I'm more used to visual novels where you have agency in the events of the story, but seeing Chris just take the whole situation around him as mildly inconvenient baffled me. If I was in there, I would be freaking out and shaking James as I demanded he explain what was going on haha. Anyway, feel free to ignore this part of the comment if it's essential to Chris's character to be passive.

My favorite part of the visual novel was seeing Jack. He's always low-key been my favorite of the cast because I like emotionally-constipated characters. After playing the demo, I went to your toyhouse and read everyone's bios because I wanted to know more about the characters that didn't show up. It made me realize that everyone here is very young omg. I need to speak to Maestro right now because forcing all these teens to play in your orchestra definitely goes against child labor laws🤔Also, I'm really excited to meet Kade! I've always been interested in learning more about them because I like their style. Ahhh I think I'm just excited about your game in general, I can already tell the final product will be a banger!

Yes, go ahead!

Bad Faith is definitely in my top ten visual novels! I was so intrigued and fascinated by the demo when it first came out. I don't normally read a lot of novels due to my short attention span, but this story held my attention throughout the whole story.

The build-up to the climax had me on the edge of my seat, and I was internally screaming for Magda to run away the whole time. I love the way you wrote Magda's intrusive thoughts, as I find them to be very accurate to when I had them. Although I know a lot of people may disagree, it makes me happy that you didn't shy away from the details. It was raw and genuine. I never read content warnings for my media because nothing really shocks or bothers me, so I was surprised that the story went that far into the details of Magda's thoughts.

Every character was written so realistically. I feel like I truly understood the motivation and reasons behind every character. No one felt comically evil, so my immersion never broke. I just love morally corrupt characters that don't make me cringe haha

I will say though, after the big climax, my enjoyment of the story did decrease. I wasn't really sure where the story was going to go after that whole ordeal, but there was a part of me worried it was going to change into a revenge story. And then it turned into a revenge story. And then it ended after Magda got her revenge. I feel... unsatisfied. Perhaps I'm just not good at analyzing stories, but I'm not sure what the moral of the story is. What message is the story pushing? Reading your thoughts at the end makes me think that this was created mainly as a personal piece to vent. I've never experienced something like being shamed in front of my whole community, so maybe this game wasn't for me. Idk, I just feel like nothing was resolved in the end.

Of course, I don't regret playing this. I will be coming back to play this over and over because of how good the execution was. The mysteries were still intriguing, and the art slapped. I hope you plan to make more visual novels!

Ahhh that was soo cute! I really, really loved this game. The characters were written realistically and the dialogue was amazing. I loved the discussion of fandom stuff as I don't personally have any space to talk about this. Seeing it in a game and discussed between two characters made me realize how much I don't consider when it comes to my media consumption. Anyway, really loved the romance, Mona was so relatable!

Ahh this was really good! Maybe it's just me, but I have such a hard time finding BL visual novels that are as wholesome and well-written as this. Really enjoyed everyone's character and the art was awesome.

That was a really cute story, I enjoyed reading it!

Really fun little game, loved the art!

Ahh this looks amazing, I can't wait to try it out once I've started my visual novel project! I've been looking for a way to make visual novels in godot and this seems like the perfect solution for someone who has no experience making games.

This was so good! I love a good horror mystery story so this really has me excited. The UI and art are all very high quality, it really adds to the tone of the story. Love what I see right now!

OMG I just introduced my sister to this game a few days ago and we were both talking about wanting another update. So glad to see you haven't abandoned the project, can't wait to see more!

P.S. I am in love with your webtoon. I fucking love GL so much and it makes me thrilled to see another GL get into the featured section.

LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOO

I went into this game totally blind not knowing anything about the plot. I found the game through a post on Twitter and immediately went to go download it because I thought the art was really beautiful. I really thought this was going to be a quirky lighthearted RPG so when the prologue took a dark turn I gasped out loud. I also thought that Charlie was going to be another no-personality silent protagonist so when she started giving sass to everyone I was so surprised! This was a wonderful game and I really look forward to the Kickstarter!

I just finished the demo and I think I'm in love 😍

This was a really great experience and scratched that tactics rpg itch I've had for a while. The environment art is really well done, especially the cave tileset. I'll admit the only tactics rpg I've invested more than 10 hours into is Fire Emblem so I'm unfamiliar with the mechanics of the Shining Force games. I have a few suggestions that might help with the development of the game for people like me:

  • Keyboard controls weren't listed in the game so I had to button mash every key to find out how to do basic things.
  • A dedicated visual tutorial on how combat works should be implemented. I spent the first few battles struggling to understand how to use Prym. I was unaware her real attacks were in the specials menu for the first few battles.
  • Although I beat the demo I still don't know what exactly happens when units fall. If the countdown reaches 0 then are the units gone permanently?
  • This isn't related to gameplay but I think the dialogue could use some revising. I don't know the personality of any of the main characters. What are their personal motivations? Why are they fighting? What's their relationship with each other? Why is Arnen the main character? Dolvis is literally a random person who just decided to tag along for no reason if I remember correctly lol.

But with these problems aside, I can't wait to see the finished product! I'm excited to see what next in the story. Keep up the good work!

(1 edit)

I just got a good 4.5 hours into this game! I love it so much, the characters and story are wonderful. Can't wait for the full release!

This game really hit home for me. It's so rare to see representation of my orientation in media, even in small indie creations. Aro/Aces are usually put into the background or set as side characters so it was really nice to see one as the main character. The realization Manami comes to is really accurate to my experience: It's scary and you feel like there's something wrong with you. It makes me happy that Manami has such supportive and good friends though, the ending made me tear up.

I love that your games cater to people are already familiar with LGBT topics and those who are unfamiliar. The story doesn't treat ignorant people as evil for asking uncomfortable questions or being confused.

I hope we get to see more of these girls! I don't want this to be the last game in the series (T-T)

Ahhh I absolutely adore this game! It's by far one of the best visual novels I've ever played! Somnia and Remerie were so adorable throughout the story and the game mechanics were really fun. I'm glad the puzzles weren't super difficult, they did stump me a little but I got through them without too much trouble. I'm glad, I was hoping I wouldn't have to use my brain too much ahaha. In the end it said "see you next time", does that mean there will be a part 2?? I really hope so I love this world and I don't want to leave it!

Omg this game looks absolutely incredible, the art is stunning! I've only completed the Golden Deers route and plan to do Black Eagles soon. Is this game spoiler free of that route or should I wait to beat the game?

There's an artist I follow who has a similar style to the game, maybe you could try reaching out to him? His username is Oncha and they're able to pump out artwork extremely  fast: https://twitter.com/feitsuki

Just donated $10 on Paypal! I missed the kickstarter deadline so I just decided to go with Paypal

Just finished playing the update! I was really excited to see that Olog was an option because he was my favorite supporting character in Contract Demon. It was a little disappointing the his ending was very corporate-feeling but it is nice to have your sexuality represented in a dating sim lol. Is Olog an aro/ace or is he just asexual? I think a little specification in the story would be nice as many asexuals experience romantic attraction and find kissing/hugging enjoyable.

Omg so happy to hear! I hope I'm able to get enough money by the end of this week to support you on kickstarter!

Hi I just finished playing the demo today and I really enjoyed! The UI was clear and fit the theme of the story and the art is beautiful. For a small demo it's really polished and clean, I really got a sense of what this game is like (or at least I hope I did and there's no dark twist at the end lol).

I'm unsure if you're looking for any feedback but there were some parts in the writing that I believe can be improved upon. During Jen's route I think she opened up too much in the beginning. Things were moving incredibly fast and having her talk about her rough past was little awkward considering this was our second time meeting. It would make a lot of sense for Tau and Runia to open up about something dark as they already know who you but for Jen it doesn't make a lot a sense, especially seeing as she doesn't normally open up to strangers like that. I also believe that her design could be tweaked a tad bit to fit the universe more. Her outfit is really cute and unique but seems out of place as she is a store owner. The big fluffy skirt and gloves look like they belong more at a costume party. Her color palette works well though and her character poses gives readers a good understanding of what kind of character she is.

Despite some flaws in her character, Jen is definitely my favorite out the cast. I look forward to supporting the game on kickstarter :D

Ahh that's awesome! I can't wait to see what Cove's voice sounds like as he gets older.

Holy shit I'm hyped

I'm super interested in buying this game, I love the art and characters already but I would prefer to buy games like these on steam. Do you plan on selling this on steam in the future?

Wow this game was seriously incredible! This is probably one of my favorite visual novels out there. Loved the true ending, it was great.
